Hello ! May Allah protect and guide you to his light and happiness in this life and the hereafter, God bless, Ameen. Excuse me for giving a little presentation of Islam, because it is very misunderstood nowadays, especially on those « Antichrist's » times, where media and politics are mixed to distort history and truth. Thank you very much for your time.
Islam is an arabic word that means the Surrender to the One and Only God, our Creator, Protector, Provider, who gives us life and all that we have, we are safe and sound by his will and grace, we are His and to Him we return, and we have to thank him in this trial life by submitting to him by our free will, or later in the Day of judgment when it's too late to save our own skin. Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them).
Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy.
Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad).
Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning!
Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures.
Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement.
It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them.
(19-22 / Translated by Muhammad Asad)..
God said : Say, “We believe in Allah, and in what was revealed to us, and in what was revealed to Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the Patriarchs, and in what was given to Moses and Jesus, and in what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We do not differentiate between any of them. And to Him, we surrender.”

Most countries kind of look the same nowadays. There is not one inch of Mongolia that could be anywhere else. Even Ulaanbaatar is full of gers. The people following traditional way of life in Mongolia work their asses off 7 days a week 365 days a year. I would not say Mongolia was my favorite place but it is beautiful and the people were kind to us. And it really made an impression.

@anglohan5428 I am Mongolian and I agree. Chinese colonizers are 1,200,000,000 but Mongolians are only few million. They have the power to say anything (including all kinds of bullshit) due to their astronomical population count and technology. It evokes fire inside of me, a Mongolian, to look at anything related to Inner Mongolia because of the way Chinese immigrants murder innocent Mongolian nomads to steal their land in the past few decades.

On my HS wrestling team we had a coach from Korea who was trained in Mongolian wrestling and one day a week he would randomly partner us across weight classes and have us wrestle Mongolian style. It didn't help much match-per-match but taught us so much regarding things like conservation and expenditure of strength/energy. My 130 lb buns had to learn to combat the superior strength of a 240 lb hulk, while he had to learn to deal with my speed and maneuverability. Undoubtedly some of the most valuable training I ever had.

I've been to Inner Mongolia and Mongolia. I miss those places, Mongolian people are very giving, generous and will hook you up if you are on their good side. They can be pretty crass and temperamental but they are (generally) great people. And when you visit Mongolia you really understand the term "built different". You gotta be "built different" to be from and live there, its NOT for the weak.

If the travel advisory and political situation ever changes, it’d be really cool for you guys to do a Strength Unknown in Iran, and learn about the Pahlavoons/Houses of Strength that are still present. Iran has a long history of strength athletics and has a lot of strongman athletes with potential. Perhaps getting in touch with former WSM competitor Peiman Maheripur or some of the athletes who solely compete with WUS would be a start? Keep up the great work making this content !

As someone who's born in Northern China, just wanna let everyone know that the banners (tribes) that were loyal to Genghis Khan's house ended up living where Inner Mongolia is today. The outer Mongolia or Mongolia, are the banners that were loyal to the Oirat and Khalkha Mongols Confederations. The museum you weren't able to film inside actually contains the saddle, banner and I believe helmet of Genghis Khan. Another fun fact was that Imperial (Nazi) Japan tried to take these artifacts during WWII but Inner Mongolian Banners with the help of Republic of China soldiers successfully defended it and prevented the Japanese from taking these cultural artifacts away from their rightful owners.

    • @markeedeep
      @markeedeep ปีที่แล้ว

I like your comment. You make me consider a good overlap of Mongolia and northern China I'd certainly be keen to explore, as far as far eastern Asia goes. Mongolia I'd say is my number one destination to visit in that whole region. But also definitely northern China (the southern coastline and major cities don't interest me), Korea and Japan. For me, the cutting edge of combined Asian civilization.

    • @HEEHEEBOII
      @HEEHEEBOII ปีที่แล้ว +18

@@markeedeep I travelled through Northern China and Southern China. I would say that North and South China are completely different. Both cultures are extremely interesting. With North, you will be able to see effects of integration of various nomadic cultures w/ Han culture. Whereas South you see more Han, SEA, and even some Polynesian culture. Supposedly that Polynesians originated in Southern China, specifically from Fujian and Guandong Province. Since historians recently traced the Polynesian language migration and concluded that it came from Mainland China.
Say you start from the West in the Xinjiang province, you will see central Asian culture as the dominant culture there are Chinese Han, Uighur, Kazakh, and Tajik cultures so a mix of Persian, Turko-Mongol, and Han culture.
As you gradually move east, you'll end up in Gansu and Ningxia provinces, which are predominately Muslim Chinese people - aka the Hui Muslims. Dominant cultures here are Hui Muslim culture, and Han, mixed with small amounts of Tibetan and Mongol/Manchu.
As you go North East, you enter Inner Mongolia, urban centers have a mixture of Han and Mongol culture. Rural and steppe areas are inhabited by specific Mongol Banners that traces their lineage back to Qing Dynasty and some even to Yuan Dynasty.
As you go South East, you enter Shaanxi Province, which is the biggest culture melting pot of China. The imperial capital of Chang'an aka Xi'an, shows a mixture of Muslim, Han, and Buddhist cultures. Traveling to Lin Tong you will see Han Dynasty Imperial Tombs, and the tomb of China's first emperor - Qin Shi Huang.
As you go West in Shaanxi province, you will end up in Fengxiang - which has tombs of antiquity China, specifically Xia and Zhou tombs as well as tombs of early Qin Dukedom / Kingdom rulers before they unified China.
Moving east, Shanxi (diff than Shaanxi) Henan, Hebei, and Beijing, mostly Han culture but you will see a lot of historical sites related to Ming and Qing dynasty in China. As well as the oldest continuously inhabited city in China aka Pingyao City in Shanxi province.
Moving further east, you end up in Manchuria or Dong Bei, which is a mixture of Han, Manchu, and ethnic Korean culture (Yanbian). More specifically for Manchu, you will be able to see a lot of historical sites related to Liao, and Qing Dynasty.

As a Mongolian, my middle finger will always be up for Chinese because Chinese, regardless of governments, brutally murdered 100,000 Mongolians in Inner Mongolia from 1967-1969 while persecuting up to a million.
      (2:136 / Translated by Community)
      Salam (Peace) --

The most famous and well-rooted one has been organized in "Edirne, Kırkpınar". It has been organized in Kırkpınar, the same place, for 663 years, since the Ottomans. We are in the 4. place in olympics wrestling as a country when Soviet Union is excluded. Not sure if it's been commented yet, but since you are visiting different countries and checking on different "strongman" cultures, I highly encourage y'all to go to Japan and check up on Sumo. Not only are the fighters EXTREMELY strong, with an extremely rigorous training regimen and lifestyle (sumo is first and foremost a religious and cultural rite and a fighting style second), but it'll end up looping back towards both Mongolia and Georgia. For one, for the past 20 years Sumo has been utterly dominated by Mongolians, who brought much of their knowledge of Bokh, innovating what is a centuries old tradition, but the biggest and most dominant Sumo champion ever, Hakuho Sho, is the son of arguably a top 3 Bokh contender of all time and Mongolia's first olympic medalist Jigjidiin Monkhbat. As for Georgia, we have recently retired from Sumo, Tochinoshin Tsuyoshi, who regularly lifted and carried out of the ring opponents near or above 200kg, an absolute machine of a wrestler. I'm sure you'll have an absolute blast knowing how strong and disciplined these men can get.

I went to China in 1985. Part of the tour took me to Hohhot, and from there a tour bus to a commune out in the countryside, where we spent the day. I saw an old classical-looking building in the middle of the commune and walked over and peeked through the crack between the two sides of he door. I saw large bags piled up on the floor, but I could see on the far wall what looked like the tankas, sacred icons of Tibetan Buddhism. I realized that this commune was being built on the grounds of a confiscated monastery. Emotionally moved but what I imagined what must have happened, I pressed my two palms together and bowed reverently. As I did, I heard someone passing by me spit. Later, I spotted a painting on an outer wall I think it's called the Wheel of Existence? I asked our guide and he said something like, "See the animals in the center? Those are the animals that Buddhists hate." Later, I read that the snake Later, I read that those animals, the rooster, the pig and the snake represent greed, hatred and envy.
