Oh yess! I suggested an olive, but I do feel like green goes so nicely with brass and amber! I love how we vibe! I never thought anyone else liked green walls!
@@saraleigh6214 I think it's a misconception that darker colours make a room smaller, especially when not the whole room is dark. It can add depth as a contrast to the tile. This whole trend of having all white rooms is very cold and sterile, and asks for lots of decor pieces, when accent walls can bring style and decoration just like that. Anyway that's how I've experienced it, to each their own of course.
I love the pink on the walls and I think it goes so nice with the brass and the green plants!! I think you should keep the pink. That would be my dream bathroom with your cute tiles!!
I'd personally go for a darker colour, I love a warm olive with it. Definitely a warmer tone though. I had some lovely warm white walls in my last flat, it matched my wooden bed very nicely and felt cosier than stark white.
You’ve done wonders with that bathroom! However I do wish the tiles went all the way around the bathroom, but if youre painting it pleaseee do dark green as that’s super popular in bathrooms atm and it looks so good! Or just do that one wall dark green and the rest white! And I prefer the towel holder option 2! X
Ti Jay it actually usually makes it look bigger, type in dark green bathroom to Pinterest and majority of them are small rooms cus it makes them look bigger
I think dark green would look fab but it’s such a small room I’m not sure whether it would make the room look even smaller. If it was a larger room I think it would be gorgeous x
En-suite looks great so far, personally I think I would have had tiles up to the ceiling, certainly on the main wall but can’t wait to see what colour you choose x
Omg yes I’m so excited about this one!!!!😅😅 To anyone else watching this, happy Monday!! Let’s smash the week.. we’re all in this together😋 stay safe and remember to keep smiling, lots of love a small time TH-camr trying to spread positivity❤️❤️ ps, who got their hands on some YAE bits on Thursday?? So excited for it to come!!!
Definatley option 2 for the shelf!! And I think an off white/white on the walls would look great! You could tie in the charcoal of the vanity by getting a charcoal toothbrush holder/soap dispenser/toilet brush?? I think that would look fab x
I love the pink i think it goes so well with the tile and vanity. It will also look great with the mirror. James is right brass taps would like on point
I'm going to chuck it out there and suggest a navy on the wall above the tiles and then the off-whites behind the toilet etc.... but absolutely love it! it's amazing how much of a difference new tiles can make! can't wait to see the rest of the Reno come together now 💕
Love the tiles! Maybe it might be too dark but I think navy paint would go nicely with the brass mirror etc and the bright tiles. Depends how much light comes through the room! Love a transformation video xxx
I was going to say graphite colour paint...as would match vanity and make the brass accents even more poppy...and also the tiles would then be a highlight rather than blending into the paint... Love this transformation! Love you guys!
I would go for a darker colour for the walls. Like a really dark navy blue, kind of like the vanity. It would look amazing with the gold features and the amber in the tiles.
I’m obsessed with frosted mink we used in our spare bedroom it’s so neutral but goes nice with browns or greys! It’s so versatile but also modern! It’s a Valspar I believe xx
Skimming stone and number 2 on the shelf. (Well not literally no 2 on the shelf🤭🤭) but you know what I mean. The skimming stone sounds lovely. Alternatively take the colour from the grain. It will look fab and so far its all falling into place. Fabulous. 👏👏
I just love watching you guys. You're so wholesome and sweet, its very heartwarming. I hope even after you have little ones you continue to share your journey with us
I think a dark blue/Navy would look gorgeous! Hague blue is a really popular paint choice at the moment, it’s a beautiful colour from Farrow and Ball x
Oh, I am living for this bathroom renovation!!!! I looooovvvee it all! And! I do actually have some colour suggestions!.... Zoffany - Paris Grey Farrow & Ball - Ammonite Good luck, James and Carys, it really does look incredible! X
I recommend painting the en suite walls navy or charcoal. And position 2 with the shelf upside down for the towel rack. Gorgeous 😍 I’d keep it all without accessories love a minimal look. Also dark walls don’t always make it look smaller!
A general rule of thumb when painting small rooms is that cool undertones make the room feel brighter and bigger, because your marble is quite warm toned (gorgeous btw!!) you don’t want to pick a colour that’s too cool otherwise it will make the wall look dirty, I’d definitely go for a colour which is lighter than the marble to make it pop and think white mist is the perfect middle between cool and warm (it does depend on the lighting in the bathroom though ofc!) xx
Love the tiles! I do think I prefer the shelf as option 1, but both will be lovely! Funnily enough my walls in my house are painted in White Cotton and White Mist 😂 White Mist is a lovely light grey with a purply hint. I think White Cotton would be perfect for your en-suite xx
I agree with the previous suggestion of a pale sage green, if you go with a dark color it will make the space look even smaller. Position two for the shelf looks the best in my opinion- plus you always need more spots to hang towels.
Love the bathroom. I think position 2 is better because you can still put things on top of it as well as using it for your towels. Where did you get the mirror been looking for one like that for ages xx
I think an orange amber colour would be amazing, bringing out the tones in the marble. And I love option 2 for the shelf. Option 1 would hide items on the shelf and somehow make it look smaller xxx
Love love love that you went with brass finishes!! I have a suggestion of Grant Beige for the walls! It’s like a gray beige and I think it would bring out the veins in the marble!
Option 2..!! Also I use durable Wilkinson paint called chalk white.. it is brilliant as it is easily cleaned and hard to scuff. You can use cloth to clean it very easily and best off white ive found x
these fixtures though, my design heart is so OBSESSED :):):) looks awesome guys! I think a cheeky navy or pale grey could look amaaaazing in the bathroom! since about half the wall has off-white tiles, I don't think a bit of a darker colour would overcome the space too much!
What about a beautiful, rich burnt orange colour so you feel all warm n cosy when you walk in🥰 It will have awesome 70 vibes and compliment the brass fixtures too! You are doing such a fab job, you got this boo xoxox
Looks amazing guys! love how real you both are, so genuine and down to earth and love how grateful, fulfilled and happy you both are with life. What an amazing little life you have built.. its beautiful to watch, cant wait to see what else is to come 😘🥰 and also, Carys you are looking amazingly stunning in all your vids, go you for always rocking the natural look #youdoyouboo 😘
I love your style of vlog, its nice that it is a different style. I love the ensuite, I think brass/brushed gold hardware would love amazing. Loving the tap and mirror 💖🚿🚽🛁
I really like the pink, and I so think that you should go with a blush color! It would really suit the brass, the color in the tiles and that green plant you have in the corner!
Be bold and go for a dark navy colour!! It would look lush with the brass. I went for F&B Hague Blue in my bathroom and it’s my fave room in the house! Scotch Blue or even something as dark as Railings would look so good. Also, option 2 for the shelf but leave a decent sized gap between the shelf and top of the tiles 🥰 Defo be brave with your paint, it’s such a small room if you decide you don’t like it, it’s no biggie 🤷🏼♀️ and you might find a new love for colour like I did ☺️
Hi guys loving the bathroom transformation and I love that you show the progress rather than just straight to the end reveal. I was wondering about the silver/chrome trim of the shower. Will you change that to brass too or leave it a mixed metal look? Another TH-camr ‘Hannah’s Happy Home’ spray painted the metal trim of her sliding doors. Just a thought but maybe it would be too much. Loving your transformations and channels.
Please please do the en suite in a teal! Would look stunning having contrast to the amber or a burnt orange to compliment! I really think a bold colour would look incredible with the brass features!
Instead of paint, you have the perfect space there for a high end wallpaper. With the right print you could get it to match all that gold in the marble and the faucet etc. Either something really demure and elegant or a wild pop of color. Either one would look great. But definitely wallpaper if you can. Love you guys!
I laughed at the off white.. and james holds the single towel hook crooked and my OCD was screaming hold it straight...😂😂😂😂🤦♀️🥰👌🏼🙄🙏🏼 looks amazing guys cant wait to see I never skip the videos but I was skipping alittle to move forward to see.loool🤦♀️🤣👌🏼🙏🏼
I like the shelf with the towel rail. And I think a off white but towards the brown off white! 😂 also love these videos as I’ve just bought a house so it’s great to see
A dark colour to match the vanity would look amazing, and it shouldn't make the room look smaller, it's a misconception that a dark colour does that. The tiles are bright and you're having a mirror on the wall. Can't wait to see the finished transformation!
Love the look of the new bathroom. Once all of the accessories are in it will look amazing. I agree with the both of you that the shelf should be installed utilizing the towel bar. I also wanted to let you guys know that I purchased some merch and would like to purchase more. Will you guys be restocking bigger sizes in the pink hoodie? I really want it but it is sold out in my size. I'm going back in today to order the mid cut light gray hoodie. Love all of them and love you guys !!! ❤❤❤
You guys are just the best! You motivate me so much. I ordered a YAE tee and I can’t wait for it to arrive! Also, I like position 2 for the bathroom shelf lol
I feel like I have two best friends updating me on their transformations. I love that y’all are so unapologetically you. 🖤 these videos bring so much happiness and just a sense of calmness in the crazy world. Thank you for the updates and vlogs. 🖤 YAE.
The brass looks good, just wandering if the shower accessories are also brass? If not u may want to switch those out so that the entire bathroom can be cohesive. I think a white paint will make everything stand out more as well. Can’t wait to see the finished product.
Loving the transformations! I think the paint railings would look really great in the on-suite as the contrast with the tiles (which I love btw) would look amazing!! 💗
A pale sage green would look stunning
Oh yess! I suggested an olive, but I do feel like green goes so nicely with brass and amber!
I love how we vibe! I never thought anyone else liked green walls!
Agree! Would go so well with the brass features and the amber in the tiles
I agree and it would look nice with the plants :)
I agree
100% It would look sooo nice!!
Option two is perfect but I would raise it slightly from were James had it so it doesn’t look like it’s sitting on the marble tiles!!!!!
Yes!
100%, it's way too low and weird that close to the tile.
and center it in the space between the sink and wall instead of pushing it completely into the corner!!
@@ErinMooneyPresents YEP!
Navy paint would look amazing in there!
Right! Something a bit darker would make it so stylish! Or something to match the graphite unit.
I agree, but it would make the room appear smaller than it is
@@saraleigh6214 I think it's a misconception that darker colours make a room smaller, especially when not the whole room is dark. It can add depth as a contrast to the tile.

Anyway that's how I've experienced it, to each their own of course.
I agree! Navy
Go black that would make a bold statement against the tiles
I like the shelf with the use of the rail for towels, seems more practical for practical james 😄
I was expecting the cushion from every transformation to be on the toilet 💕😂

Position 2, you can still place items on top. As for colour I would go for a dark navy or a deep green!
Yes!!
A dark navy would look stunning with the brass
En-suite looks great so far, personally I think I would have had tiles up to the ceiling, certainly on the main wall but can’t wait to see what colour you choose x
Omg yes I’m so excited about this one!!!!😅😅 To anyone else watching this, happy Monday!! You’re the cutest boo!!!! Love you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Sophie Taylor awww
oooh I ordered some YAE stuff. Can’t wait till it gets here. 🤗🤗
I bought two cropped shirts and I'm stalking my email for the confirmation that they shipped !!
My color options would be a dark navy, a burnt orange, or a soft pale green like olive or sage
Light grey would be perfect! I think it would bring out the colors in the tiles on the wall 😍😍
I'm honestly obsessed with the pink against the new tiles and brass features! I think they go so well and give bali vibes with the green plant! Xx
These types of videos are literally my fave🤩 Anybody else?!
Thank you boo!!!!
Definatley option 2 for the shelf!! And I think an off white/white on the walls would look great! You could tie in the charcoal of the vanity by getting a charcoal toothbrush holder/soap dispenser/toilet brush?? I think that would look fab x
navy, dove grey or even a sagey green would look stunning!!!💛
I think position 2 is better because hanging and shelf
I love the pink i think it goes so well with the tile and vanity. It will also look great with the mirror. James is right brass taps would like on point

I really appreciate carys insta stories they make me feel better about feeling unproductive. Really needed during lockdown so thank you ❤️
I think dark green will make it feel really fresh and look great with all the brass!
Am loving this transformation, what about keeping the pink on the wall, or a different pink??
I love the way you vlog these reveals, hate being hyped up for 6 months to what ends up being a vague reveal!! Room looked so good xx
Navy would look amazing!! Especially with the brass/gold x
Love the tiles! Maybe it might be too dark but I think navy paint would go nicely with the brass mirror etc and the bright tiles. Depends how much light comes through the room! Love a transformation video xxx
Love love love 😍 think a really pale grey paint would really bring out the tiles and keep the ceiling white!
A really rich dark green would look stunning and make the white tiles and brass accents pop! Plus would tie in plants really nicely x
Those tiles are incredible!!! Really love small toilet transformations!
Gorgeous En Suite! I would pick option 2 for the shelf!
I think an emerald or forest green would look amazing
Loving the marble tiles 😍 can't wait to see which colour paint you decide on and also the towel colour! Love your vlogs as always x
I’m obsessed with frosted mink we used in our spare bedroom it’s so neutral but goes nice with browns or greys! It’s so versatile but also modern! It’s a Valspar I believe xx
I think a warm peachy colour would look really good in there! And then peach/orange towels 😍😍😍
A deep blue would look amazing. F&B ultra marine blue. It would bring out the brass and the amber and look ultra luxurious.
Love the shelf position 2 as Carys said you can put a nice plant in the corner. I have white mist and its really nice.
Skimming stone and number 2 on the shelf. (Well not literally no 2 on the shelf🤭🤭) but you know what I mean. The skimming stone sounds lovely. Alternatively take the colour from the grain. It will look fab and so far its all falling into place. Fabulous. 👏👏
Egyptian cotton, navy or an olive colour for the walls 😍. And definately option two for the shelf
I just love watching you guys. You're so wholesome and sweet, its very heartwarming.

I think a dark blue/Navy would look gorgeous! Hague blue is a really popular paint choice at the moment, it’s a beautiful colour from Farrow and Ball x
Dark green above the tile with white on the other walls would look gorgeous! Sage green on all of the walls would also look really nice.
Option 2....those tiles are just beautiful x
I prefer the shelf and if it was to be a shelf I’d put it below the mirror above the sink! The transformation looks fab guys💜
I love the pink guys! I think it looks great with the amber and the brass finishes! Don’t change it!- also option 2 for the shelf obviously 😉
but the pink looks so nice!! goes so nice with the tiles

I think a “warmer white” (Nutmeg White) since you are using brass....
I agree with the previous suggestion of a pale sage green, if you go with a dark color it will make the space look even smaller. Position two for the shelf looks the best in my opinion- plus you always need more spots to hang towels.
I prefer position 2! This looks amaaaazing and I deffo prefer the way you film updates every few days like this!xxx
I think like a soft light grey, like pick out the marble OR do a light amber colour (again pick it from the tiles) absolutely love the bathroom x
Love the bathroom. I think position 2 is better because you can still put things on top of it as well as using it for your towels. Where did you get the mirror been looking for one like that for ages xx
Love it! What tiles did you use if you don’t mind me asking?xx
Oh I’m so happy you guys switched to gold/bronze hardware! As soon as you showed us those tiles I had my fingers crossed you’d do gold!

We’ve just used cornforth white (farrow and ball) in our living room and it’s lovely!! Definitely recommend ☺️ x
I love the warmer off whites ... it will let the brass and wood and That Gorgeous Tile be center stage!!
I feel like a dark colour paint would look amazing in the bathroom? Either a Black or dark grey
Black would be horrible it’s so small with hardly any light, it would be pitch black in there
i think you should paint the ensuite walls a light grey to tie in the black vanity and it works well with the amber tiles!! love your videos!! xxxxxx

Loving the tap and mirror 💖🚿🚽🛁
I really like the pink, and I so think that you should go with a blush color! It would really suit the brass, the color in the tiles and that green plant you have in the corner!
I think tiles all round the bathroom would look good or if your painting go light grey! Love the gold with it 😍 and I’d say 2 with the shelve xx
The bathroom is looking amazing!! I love the tiles with the brass. Definitely option 2 a little bit above the tiles.

A really light grey would look amazing x
Love love love the tile... Dulux : amber queen 4 would look fab!!

Now you need a matching door handle! I wonder if you can get matching brass shower bits too 😱 LOVE IT
Also, I really think a dark wall to match the vanity would look amazing! And it wouldn’t look too dark because of the tiles!
James you really suit your orange t shirt! Definitely your colour!
We have white mist in our living room, love it! Also prefer the shelf as a towel rail 😍
I like the shelf with the towel rail. And I think a off white but towards the brown off white! 😂 also love these videos as I’ve just bought a house so it’s great to see

I’ve been so down lately, and these vlogs make my day so much better!!!
Love you all so much ❤️ from Melbourne, Australia 😘
Love the shelf in position 2 and perhaps a peach colour for the wall or peachy off white to fit better with the rest of the house! Love you lots!! ❤
Love this!! Looks gorgeous!!! I feel like navy/very dark blue accessories so towels etc would look really smart! I’d stick with white walls!
I feel like I have two best friends updating me on their transformations. I love that y’all are so unapologetically you. 🖤 these videos bring so much happiness and just a sense of calmness in the crazy world. Thank you for the updates and vlogs. 🖤 YAE.
It looks beautiful! I would really pick a white for the walls to keep the focus on the tiles
The brass looks good, just wandering if the shower accessories are also brass? If not u may want to switch those out so that the entire bathroom can be cohesive. I think a white paint will make everything stand out more as well. Can’t wait to see the finished product.
I deffo prefer this type of video instead of the over idea because I get excited with you both🥰
I think the dusty pink paint looks good with the amber tiles and brass fixtures!
Loving the transformations! I think the paint railings would look really great in the on-suite as the contrast with the tiles (which I love btw) would look amazing!! 💗
