    Genetics plays a large part in hair growth. My dad 71 and his hair just started thinning.

      It’s really more of nutrients and nutrition. Genetics determines the characteristics and texture of hair. Nutrients play a big part to. If you was to start oiling your dads scalp his hair would in turn grow longer

    This video is all facts. I started braiding my hair in 2019 and saw minimal hair growth up until 2022. Now in 2023 I do cornrows all the time and they’re fairly loose and now my hair grows quicker than before. Don’t stress the scalp!

    If your hair is not long enough for protective styles is it okay to do sponge twist but not going to hard on your hair and making sure its moisturized then use the sponge

    • @kozact
      @kozact  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I’d recommend against sponging your hair as sponges are really harsh on hair and can cause damage.
      If you insist on sponging your hair, try using a metal or plastic one and not using one made out of foam
      As an alternative to sponging your hair, I recommend trying curling products

    What about waves are they a bad protective style for your hair and is brushing waves too often bad

    • @kozact
      @kozact  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Waves wouldn’t be considered a protective style as your hair is just out and exposed.
      Excessively brushing your hair can be damaging, but I understand that you have to brush a lot to keep waves .
      You can avoid damage if you brush your hair with a softer brush and make sure your hair has moisture in it when you are brushing.
      As long as you aren’t too firm or too aggressive, you should be perfectly fine

    • @Mooreeezy
      @Mooreeezy 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Take your time, wash your hair and add leave in conditioner. Then, very carefully take a pick and lightly untangle the knots from the bottom up. That will at least help maintain what you have. Ultimately you'll need a professional to deal with the split ends

    I’m 18 and my hair used to be super long when I was growing up but the past few years it’s been getting shorter and thinner. It’s only chest length now and you can notice it’s thin on my crown and it’s getting worse. But I just started massaging my scalp everyday and I’m going to get oils to use while I do it everyday. Can you recommend anything else I can do to get it thick again and to stop breaking a lot?

    • @asphetto
      @asphetto ปีที่แล้ว

      Look after yourself. Eat loads of protein, veggies, stay away from sugar. A good diet rich in protein veggies will nourish the body and produce good hair, your skin will also be glowing.
      It’s good you oil your scalp
