a high level (200ish?) quality build would be really fun to see. you can get bonkers damage output and the weapon variety is fantastic for keeping your opponents off balance-you can make a host think you’re a squishy katana dude and then hardswap to the giant crusher to squish em like a bug. plus at that level you have plenty of stats available for St. Trina’s Torch
DS3 actually did a good job at balancing this as softcapping Pyro damage took 32(42 on Knight) levels leaving plenty of room for the rest of your stats since you'd only be around level 50 so you had another 70-90 to throw around somewhere. In ER you don't really get that utility outside of Strength hybrids since they save 26 levels from only needing 54 Str. Honestly I'd recommend trying out 54 Str and 30 Faith, you lose access to a decent number of Faith spells but only like 3-4 of them actually have general utility so really not all that bad and you still get access to buffs and whatnot while also having a large variety of weapons to use, Blessing of the Erdtree is the main one that kinda sucks to miss out on but that's 8 levels which is not worth it
Tbh magic can be super interesting and fun, using melee hybrid skills like cairan slicer/piercer, harassing with swift glintstone shard, you just don't often see mages doing it b/c they feel safer in the backlines spamming projectiles without thinking at all
I think a lot of wizards unironically pump INT to 99 then try to do the same with Mind for some reason instead of investing in survivability...which is weird because it's an incredibly inefficient way to go about things. Hell some even try to go for 99 INT, 99 FTH, then 99 Mind

the Siluria's Woe projectile skill is tricky to use on stairs because the projectile actually spawns from the point in the animation where you slam the staff on the ground. this means there's actually a limit to how far downwards it can angle at close range. if you had stepped a little bit down the stairs before firing it, the projectile might have been spawned low enough that the angle worked out.
