Mitre saw also cuts at 45 degrees.just asking.
Unfortunately you cannot use a miter saw. It cannot make a rip cut like we need to make for the french cleats.

What kind of plywood are you using to make these French Cleats? I will be going to buy the lumber very soon.
The centre of the board is not 2.5 inches as the blade width was not taken into account
