@@lovefist86 That's one of the reasons I don't align myself with Christianity as much anymore. The idea of eternal torture, even with a god that is "all loving." People saying the writing in the bible can't be seen as symbolic but should be taken literally in every sense, and then they turn around to symbolize something completely incorrectly in many forms. Many hypocrites, but also people who genuinely want to find faith. It is becoming an odd scene.

At around 8:30, it reminded me of a quote I've read. The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, he said: “Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. That is what true christianity is about. When you are born as a baby into this world, you are on the path of dying from a sinful life and going to hell. But dying is birth is when you accept Christ as Savior[saved in Jesus name] you also die to self[to your old sinful self]. You are a new creation at that moment. Your sins are forgiven and you push forward everyday to know Jesus more[build a relationship with him] and tell people the good news of Christ. It is the correct start of your forever[path to heaven to be with creator God infinitely].

At the point of conversion to Christianity., we die to our old sin nature of our first birth. When we receive Jesus into our heart, Jesus makes us new. We became a new creature through Christ Jesus. You see? Dying is Birth. Surrendering to Christ means Dying to our selves. This is what he meant by dying is birth aka Born Again. At that time, the Christian gains a New Life.
Dax is a gifted artist that tries to relate to the thoughts and feelings of sinners and unbelievers still struggling with sin but at the end of every song, he tries as much as possible to remind us that he is a believer, and he isn't singing about himself but rather on behalf of the unrepentant sinners.
I think the tomorrow today line was a play off Matthew 6:34 “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
At least from my point of view, what I've read, understood and have been taught, God does not hold you accountable for things you have done while not knowing if they were right or wrong, things that you have done "blindly" but only for those that you have done consciously, fully aware of their nature. The pastors mind hasn't been corrupted by learning the true extent of the lies humanity has been fed for centuries. The TH-cam algorithm led me to this song last week. I loved it at first and shared it with a few Christian firends... then I realized. Dax waters seeds of doubt that I planted when I was agnostic. I identify with Dax and his lyrics, but I have been fortunate enough to reconcile and find answers by deciding to seek God. I know several people who denied gratification for so many years they regret not enjoying that period of time more. You cant take money with you when you die. Theres a story about an old man planting a tree and a young boy asks "why did you plant that? You wont be around to see it grow or enjoy the fruit." If you are guaranteed to live till your 80 or 90, sure a good amount of time spent toward a long future is smart. But noone is guaranteed that and all we really have is this moment. Solid pastor and very wise words... To the young man wearing a wisdom shirt... You say your an atheist but question everything... I was once in those same shoes. I've been told to question everything and I have until a certain point in my life where I stood before God and he told me he was done with me! I didn't believe in Jesus let alone the Holy Spirit until this incident. But when I stood before the Lord and when He told me He was done with me, I was beyond hopeless! I knew I was damned by my own choices... when He clearly has been done with us this entire time because we took his grace for granted this entire time... I begged for another chance and he continued to tell me he was done with me because I wouldn't change from my wicked ways. It broke me hearing that the almighty was done with me and that the almighty has the final say... I went because I knew where I was headed. With all my heart I asked one more time for another opportunity and he said no, but maybe He can moving his arm to the right and Jesus stood there making a way for me and not just me but everyone who "believes"... My friend you have everything to gain by believing and everything to lose if you don't. But the choice is yours. I just hope that you choose to give Him an opportunity and He will show you without a doubt who He is, only if you choose to believe. I would love to talk with you in detail please. Religion is different, it is something you follow your whole life and base your way of thinking on it. Of course you have to question it since you need to know if what you are going to do is really that good or true as people say, or it is something you shouldnt waste your time believing. You can't follow a religion or an idiology without thinking anything of it, if you do that, you're deluded because that means you will probably develop yourself as a closed minded person, which is what a lot religious people are like and its retarded.

He kind of says that we’re taught not to question what we’re told about God, life, and heaven/hell and that being a “Good Christian” means to just have faith, but that searching for proof or answers to life’s questions isn’t wrong and doesn’t necessarily mean that you don’t believe.. just that when something is important to you, you want to learn all you can about it.

Love Dax... fell on this by chance and enjoyed your point of view. I grew up in a very catholic home but as I got older, started questioning life and its purpose. My favorite Dax song is by far The Book of Revelations... I feel Dax has a good way of doing this, making us question... or actually, make us believe there is a God... I’ve had a “NDE” where I died for a short time, I didn’t see heaven or hell I wasn’t dead long enough but I was in a black void where it felt familiar, like I was waiting to go somewhere, then a female voice said to someone or something “it’s not his time” and I bolted awake gasping for breath, light headed and disoriented but in the void it was pure comfort. Just thought I’d share that experience.

You just have ask him for help and mean it, then put in the work. God has stopped supernatural stuff happening around me, bed shaking, objects thrown across the room. Shout out guys, just saw your video popped while watching the music video again. Really liked how open you guys are in your views and reflections of the song. And with the other song dear god actually, saw your reactions there too. Just thought to point out a few opinions of my own, I think Dax is a lyricist and a really good one, he was able to draw so much imagery and fit them all in a single song, he also fit himself into the shoes of different types of people here and their spirituality. He voiced their thoughts out good too. He actually about the different types of believers, those that have been evangelized and taught of the Gospel and its message and those who did not get the chance and those who could have been possibly misled. He also drew the sad reality of Faith and religion where its easy to get swayed into the traps set by the Devil. He actually exposed some of those traps here through his questions which are actually valid questions but again can either be a door towards a deeper spiritual reflection or a pitfall to the Devil's trap. I really liked that he also acknowledged that there is the possibility that in the end due to the lack of answers our faith may falter, hence he said "we had faith". One really cool thing is that the song and the questions may not be directed to God but to the listener too as an invite to reflect. Powerful song, great points on your reactions. Cheers!

Theres a story about an old man planting a tree and a young boy asks "why did you plant that? You wont be around to see it grow or enjoy the fruit." If you are guaranteed to live till your 80 or 90, sure a good amount of time spent toward a long future is smart. But noone is guaranteed that and all we really have is this moment. Solid pastor and very wise words... To the young man wearing a wisdom shirt... You say your an atheist but question everything... I was once in those same shoes. I've been told to question everything and I have until a certain point in my life where I stood before God and he told me he was done with me! I didn't believe in Jesus let alone the Holy Spirit until this incident. But when I stood before the Lord and when He told me He was done with me, I was beyond hopeless! I knew I was damned by my own choices... when He clearly has been done with us this entire time because we took his grace for granted this entire time... I begged for another chance and he continued to tell me he was done with me because I wouldn't change from my wicked ways. It broke me hearing that the almighty was done with me and that the almighty has the final say... I went because I knew where I was headed. With all my heart I asked one more time for another opportunity and he said no, but maybe He can moving his arm to the right and Jesus stood there making a way for me and not just me but everyone who "believes"... My friend you have everything to gain by believing and everything to lose if you don't. But the choice is yours. I just hope that you choose to give Him an opportunity and He will show you without a doubt who He is, only if you choose to believe. I would love to talk with you in detail please. I’ve had a “NDE” where I died for a short time, I didn’t see heaven or hell I wasn’t dead long enough but I was in a black void where it felt familiar, like I was waiting to go somewhere, then a female voice said to someone or something “it’s not his time” and I bolted awake gasping for breath, light headed and disoriented but in the void it was pure comfort.
Just thought I’d share that experience.
Shit was so deep it touched my soul and sheded a tear... I dont think I've cried since my best friend died 3 years ago

I love the pastor ! He’s very humble and opened minded ..You need to learn more from the pastor buddy ...god is real and even Dax believes in him ! God bless 🙏😇 I went threw so much suffering and struggling and taking the wrong path but I never gave up my faith in god ...now I’m a new person amen and in the end we always win if we have faith in god , the pastor is very right !! 🙏amen

New watcher here, love your vids so far, I struggled with my relationship with Christ for a long time. Dear God kind of hit it, God is inside all of us. You just have ask him for help and mean it, then put in the work. God has stopped supernatural stuff happening around me, bed shaking, objects thrown across the room. I promise if you call on God, God will answer. God has gotten rid of my rage and selfishness, I have a peace of mind I've never had in life. 31, truly developed a relationship with lord at 29. My life has only went up-hill since. Again thanks guys.

Nolan Besserer The answer was avoided in my opinion because it’s hard to say there is a Devil leading the church because you may perceive all churches to be that way in which are not.

I believe the devil has more inspiration in the church than you believe, Dax questions things that matter but I don’t believe he really goes that deep and looks into the stuff he’s questioning because they wouldn’t be questioned

Shout out guys, just saw your video popped while watching the music video again. Really liked how open you guys are in your views and reflections of the song. And with the other song dear god actually, saw your reactions there too. Just thought to point out a few opinions of my own, I think Dax is a lyricist and a really good one, he was able to draw so much imagery and fit them all in a single song, he also fit himself into the shoes of different types of people here and their spirituality. He voiced their thoughts out good too. He actually about the different types of believers, those that have been evangelized and taught of the Gospel and its message and those who did not get the chance and those who could have been possibly misled. He also drew the sad reality of Faith and religion where its easy to get swayed into the traps set by the Devil. He actually exposed some of those traps here through his questions which are actually valid questions but again can either be a door towards a deeper spiritual reflection or a pitfall to the Devil's trap. I really liked that he also acknowledged that there is the possibility that in the end due to the lack of answers our faith may falter, hence he said "we had faith". One really cool thing is that the song and the questions may not be directed to God but to the listener too as an invite to reflect. Powerful song, great points on your reactions. Cheers!
