I think if you had cut the bottoms out leaving an edge around sides, you could cut EGG CRATE found in lighting supplies and silicone that to the bottom would allow no dead spots in the bottoms & would give more water coverage evenly
Thts a great idea ... I was kind of experimenting with this concept .. it did work , but if course there is always room for improvement :) please subscribe if you enjoyed the video . Thankyou
Great idea! Love the video. A couple changes I would make to prevent losing water. Firstly, I would make sure there are bigger and/or more holes in the lids to make sure all the water easily ends up in the next box down. Secondly, I worry what would happen if the foam at the outlet or the foam at the top got blocked, so I would be tempted to add an overflow pipe near to the top of each box to feed water back to the pond in case of blockage. I always play it extra safe, since I've had a pump nearly empty my pond due to a blockage. I've subscribed :)
Hello, how has this filter worker for you? i have been doing SO much research for my pond build next spring. Im not sure what size pond I'll be digging, somewhere in the 2000-4000 gallon size. My head is spinning with so many different ways to filter a koi pond. Lets assume i do a 4000g pond. Would this size bakki shower handle the whole pond? I don't plan on having a zillion fish but im sure i will have more than what everyone would recommend for that amount of water. So i guess, keep in mind that it will be a heavy fish load. Not HEAVY but heavy lol can you please offer some advice for me? I will also have a filtered waterfall as well.
Excellent
