Great step by step tutorial on building an outdoor pond filter with cheap recycling materials. As not all of us can afford to buy expensive filters. A superb video for those who are passionate about keeping pond fish and now they can build their own filtration system using hand tools.

I’m so glad that you spoke in English from start to finish. I’m sick of watching and reading things where filipinos flit from English to Tagalog/visayan and back again. Even the newspapers do it.
Thank you. A very useful video.

I just saw your video on how to make Mega pond filter. That is the best idea for a filter design that I have ever seen. I especially like the drain on the bottom in case of algae buildup to release algae and excess soil sand dirt whatever. Here in America it's easy to spend a lot of money on such things. Thank you so much for sharing your idea.

You freaken kill me the way you made this filter. You used the most primitive ways of cutting holes and drilling holes with a hot pipe, you don't even have a handle for your hacksaw blade. And yet you have a perfectly good NON leaking filter. I built a wooden box and lined it with a waterproof membrane and ran pvc through the bottom for it to run back to my pond and I have nothing but leaks. I have been working on this for several weeks and I still have leaks. I cant seal around the hole for the pvc. I drilled it very tight to where I had to tap the pipe in and it leaks and it leaks. I have every tool, saw, and drill you can imagine I cant get the pvc to seal. I used silicone, liquid rubber, and finally roofing tar, still leaks rubber. You did a great job for what for what you had to work with. THX for sharing

Hi Dexter, love your videos, I tinker withs lots of stuff too, I wanted to mention to you about Electrical Safety from twatching this video, I notices you plugged the pump while you were wet from standing in the tanks, I really love to have you keep making great videos, you may have this covered but incase I want to let you know you need to have all you electricity to you pond/concrete tanks, GFCI protected either by a GFCI Breaker dedicated to the outlets outside that feed your fish ponds or GFCI outlets , remember if the GFCI is not properly grounded it will not work. Take care my friend and God Bless.

I'm going to put this to the test & try this out for my 3 tiered, 4000 gallon koi pond, using a 55 gallon drum just to see how it does for that big of as pond. It doesn't have to be expensive to work just a good, if not better. Wish me luck!
