Awesome tutorial! I did something very similar to this with a Mk1 shuttle in my career using 3 way symmetry for the boosters. Never considered the points about utilizing mirror symmetry like that so this definitely taught me something new! Thanks!
Funny you should mention it as that's is going to be goal of my next several streams. I'll likely make a tutorial on the topic sometime, but not for a while.
Hi there, I seem to be having weird issues with copying your builds. I follow along and try to get everything as close as possible, but my center of lift is always wildly different, like several rocket diameters different. Could it be they changed some part parameters since this video came out? Love your videos, thanks
Sorry, but they haven't changed. The lift indicator can be flaky. Sometimes removing and reapplying an aerodynamic part can fix it. Sometimes I just fly anyway and see how it goes.
Is there any reason for the 1.33 TWR 🤔 I understand the idea to perform main acceleration at lower density heights but this number seems oddly specific
I always watch in awe when I see you meticulously moving seperatrons and then smack my forehead in secondhand shame when I see your script breaking because your engine was too small

For an extra boost with larger shuttles, use the fuel lines and feed your shuttle engine fuel during ascent.
We'll be doing that with the upcoming Mk3 shuttle.
Hey man I've learned so much about ksp thanks to your videos. Keep up the great work!
My man is so underrated

I finally understood the upload secdule. Thanks for the nice video.
I know it's a bit confusing, but I enjoy doing the streams and would rather not give them up to do just tutorials.
@@MikeAben yeah i always watch your streams live
Thank you for this! Are you ever going to get around to capturing asteroids and such?

absolute snapping is the best way to get things perfectly straight, mark1 eyeballs are okay but not perfect like the absolute...

@@MikeAben Thanks for the reply, I'll keep at it!
Thx fam
Great!

Any TWR in that ballpark is fine. I just like that number.
Can you make a MK3 launch vehicle similar like this for a tutorial?
Already did.

Yup. Get lost looking at the trees sometimes.
