    When I was an active mountain climber, I got the chance to meet communities similar to this and heard stories from locals that will just tear your heart. I’m glad to see that there are these people who now gives the IPs a fighting chance in life. Thank you Erwan for documenting these and I hope more Filipinos open their minds and hearts to help protect the Lumads and their homes.

    "Hindi ginto ang hinuhukay. Ginto talaga na lahat ng tao matulungan." Nice line! this is so trueeeee. I had worked as a volunteer teacher to jungle schools in Mindanao and working with the IPs sometimes get the misrepresentation of goldmining. But the true gold are actually the people, they are of great value and they need to be helped. This is a nice eye-opener that many other will help these communities.

    • @skyinsky778
      @skyinsky778 ปีที่แล้ว

      These people are really true gold but you can't blame them for thinking negativity about invading their land because majority of the rich people are really taking advantage of their innocent brains. Good that PAMAS discovers them. They are non-profit organization that can't be bought nor sold.

He expressed his appreciation for the viewers, acknowledging that without us, they are nothing. However, he also noted that without our support, events like these would not be possible. It was heartening to see this video, which served as an eye-opener for us, making us realize that the little things we complain about are insignificant when compared to the challenges faced by others. I am grateful to Featr for creating such content. Thank you, and may you continue to thrive!

    my parents were and will always be volunteers for jungle school works, though ours were always "island schools" from Tawi-tawi and then in North Palawan. I hope the time comes when i will fully understand the beauty of such a work that they'd be willing to live in utter poverty in the name of education in the mountains and far flung islands. And one would wonder how my father "built" a multi-grade classroom with just 4 pieces of plywood.

And that despite the teachers not enough wages they'd still be the one's to help provide the students needs because they want these kids to continue and keep on coming back to school.

    I'm starting to like your stories more when your branched out outside of food. These are like the old PROBE Team stories from Channel 7 way back in the 80s and 90s. Loving the stories. Keep em coming. I pray that these Palawenios get the help that they need. And that the greed of the city folk don't get to them.

    This episode is such an inspiration. Appreciate it that you were able to feature about the school in the mountain and the impact it brought to the people there, their way of living and even the outlook for the future of the younger generation living in the mountains. I heard about the missing pilot in the news and how sad to know about its plight. The pilot is a hero to those whom he had helped in their medical missions. This is why I love watching your vlogs. It's not just about food, but also about life, especially in the Philippines; about culture, about people who enjoy food; about tradition and about hope! God bless u, Erwan and company! Sending love and admiration from ILOILO!!!!

    I like this kind of story. Thanks for this, Featr. As a teacher, I am grateful that another community has started to build school and teach even the adults who did not know basic reading and writing. I hope they will thrive and help their community even more. 💘
