Ooh, lovely. Very minimalist (although I do miss some of the frills of the full Howell version like the dramatic way it builds to a crescendo in the middle, but that's a personal niggle).
The Restoration of Dr Who Wow. Just because something just doesn't want to share something? Maybe he has friends that once had access to tapes. Or someone who is as good in isolating as Danny Stewart. He doesn't have to share them. I also don't share my stuff and techniques just because somebody wants them.
It's a technique which worked for Strawberry Fields Forever! Speed one up and slow one down, until they meet in the middle. Who am I to argue with George Martin?
Murray Gold is a mastermind, and has a lot to do with the revived series' success. I love Peter Howell, Ron Grainer and Delia Derbyshire as much as the next guy, but Gold's contribution to Doctor Who should not be underestimated.
I agree with Alex Ingram, this is better than any of the "re-boot" themes, and I will underestimate Murray's muzak as much as I like, in reply to Feil Vei. So flipping there!

Hi, I think you've done an amazing job. May please use a snippet of this for my teaser of my upcoming Classic Who video essay series? You'll get credit in the description.
I love the title on the picture. I can't think of a better heading for the new series. Because when I found out what they cast as the current doctor that was my expression
I've no doubt they'll surface one day. As it is, I don't want to get anyone into any more trouble than they already might be... and that includes myself...!
Perfect for either Tom Baker's final season or for the 20th anniversary!
Absolutely!! 👍
Should have been the theme for the Five Doctors :)
The modern pitch-changing algorithms necessary to make something like this didn’t exist at the time sadly.
The end credits does try something similar...but this is 10 times more awesome!

I think this works surprisingly well.
awesome mix, you are a genius.
This is magnificent!
hats off to you mate.i love themes 1 and 2.this is awsome!!!
This works well mate. Good one!
Such a a good hybrid mix! Keep up the good work!
Simply brilliant!
It takes a lot of skill to do something so risky, and then do it so well everyone’s happy.
Thank you!
This is amazing!
Very awesome and creative I Love it! Thumbs up! :)
This sounds incredible! Nicely done!
Amazing
Just found my favourite version
I'm a diehard Doctor Who fan and I love it!
superb.
Great work, best of both worlds, think even fussy Delia would have liked this.
Hard to say, although I know people who knew her. I hope she'd have taken it in the spirit that it was intended...
Pure excellence :D
isolated derbyshire spangles and melody maybe? you seem to have the best ones around
Well, someone sent me some virtual bits of 1/4" magnetic tape...
The Restoration of Dr Who You know you can just digitalize magnetic tape and then send them right?

The Restoration of Dr Who Wow... much on topic.... wow
oh ok, dya think you could send it to me? maybe?
Dig it !! 🤗🎶🎸
Bloody Brilliant Rock on Genius
Crackin'!
I like how you did this in a key between Derbyshire's E and Howell's F#.
It's a technique which worked for Strawberry Fields Forever! Speed one up and slow one down, until they meet in the middle. Who am I to argue with George Martin?
Bumping the Delia parts into the Howell key make them sound even more, what is it, Musique Concrete?
Doctor WTF?
"Doctor WTF" sounds like a great Doctor Who YTP name.
Reminds me of the five doctors somehow
Love it. Still a thousand times better than anything Murray Gold will ever do.

Wow
The Restoration of Dr Who should be given the bassline!
Give it to him!
+John Smith After his various tantrums, that's very fucking unlikely to happen.
Hooray for you.
@@soundhog09 what's wrong with him? He's pissing off so many people in the fanbase. I need to know the full reason why.

Can we have some more background info on The Restoration of Dr Who please?
I'm back!

No problem at all, go ahead!
Thank you :)

Awesome! Do you happen to have the isolated melody / spangles for and MP3 download or something like that?f
Doctor WTF xD lol LOOL BEST NAME EVER!! XDD
I'd get that keyboard looked at, if I were you. It appears to be faulty.
holy sh1t how did you make this? I SHALL HAVE THAT POWER! im guessing audacity
A bit more to it than that, but I can state that no 1/4" splicing tape was involved. Thankfully!

Hi there soundhog9
i just subscribed to you your welcome my friend
Man I should do love DOCTOR WTF?
This is excellent. Probably the perfect combination. Where did you get the plain tracks from to remix?
I got sent them. All very hush hush!
HI, would it be ok for me to use this for a fan audio series?
youll recieve full credit
It reminds me of the second tom baker theme to Colin baker first theme
Captain Shadowblade that’s because it has the Peter Howell bassline 🤦♀️
doctor wtf follows shortly
JNT should've allowed this for the new eighties era.
Would it possible to upload the individual elements of the Derbyshire theme? (Spangles etc?)
I've no doubt they'll surface one day. As it is, I don't want to get anyone into any more trouble than they already might be... and that includes myself...!
It reminds me of 2005
I can't remember anything about 2005... or 2006, 7, 8, 9 etc.
Ultimate-rainbow-dashfan1 how does this remind you of 2005?
