There aren’t many fan remixes of the theme I like but this is fantastic, particularly the last middle eight with the Jeff Love fanfare behind it, I had forgotten how it actually works really well
oh you managed to integrate what I call the 'Burlesque' version of the theme. Whenever I hear it and it gets to the middle 8th I can't help but imagine a burlesque dancer spinning her tassels!!
@@TweetlordandToymakerReviews oh wow, really? Well thank you for your efforts! Not that I don't believe you, but how do you know it would be your isolations? I'd gladly credit you.
@@cunningmunki Thanks, glad you're enjoying them, though to be honest .. I'm not entirely happy that my work has gone out there, especially with the backstory. Some of those elements are mine because nobody else isolated them, I am the only person to do it. The pack you have is a Frankenstein rebuild, someone who once was trusted had a copy of my isolations (which was a bad mistake on my part), a friend's isolations and the actual multitrack elements (bass and some sfx) - thus combining them together and ultimately betraying our agreements by posting them online (which is what gets you in a lot of trouble, it's why these are never posted online). Given the circumstances, it's out there but it is what it is. It's best not to share them around, just to keep yourself out of trouble with the copyrights.
@@TweetlordandToymakerReviews Well you've provided this old Who fan with many, many hours of fun (and frustration!) so sincerely thank you for making them, they're superb quality (and I love your channel btw). I've only recently got into mucking about with the themes after doing a new mix for my Five Doctors, but my goodness it's addictive! When I found the Howell pack I disappeared down a rabbit-hole and didn't surface for a few weeks. I've recently been using lalal.ai to mess about with the Glynn, McCulloch and Debney themes (it's not too good with synth tracks, but with some fiddling I've managed to get some ok isolations) and went down yet another rabbit hole. All those different keys and tempos are maddening! I'm trying to do a mix of all the classic themes (and Geoff Love's beautiful middle eight) without it sounding like messy cacophony, and it's proving quite a challenge.
Was there a touch of the middle eight of Peter Capaldi's theme tune in the second middle eight here? I just ask, because there were some harmonies I heard there which I've heard nowhere else but in that version. Before now, at least
The second middle eight is Delia, Howell, Delaware and the first middle eight from Geoff Love's version. It's possible Murray Gold could have been influenced by the Geoff Love version, I guess.
@@alexthemtaandr211weatherfa2 I think the middle-eight was heard once during the entire Capaldi era. It was often omitted during Tom Baker's era and was absent entirely from Christopher Eccleston's
I disliked all the electronic music influenced 1980s versions of the theme, compared with the astonishing original and the sympathetic 1970s tweaks, but this superb mix improves things no end. :-)
What an awesome mash-up of titles and the two greatest - in my opinion - versions of the theme. This is truly fantastic stuff.
This is it. This is THE Doctor Who theme.
This theme is good in all but this part at 2:47 was just phenomenal IMO

This is GREAT.
Love your work! This one gives me a bit of a chill up the spine, in a good way of course!!
K dude that’s awesome! Like THE ultimate mix. Gave me chills. Nice.
This is underrated as hell!! Thus is awesome!
Underrated??? It's only been up half a day! Yes, damn, you, you viewers and reviewers of the future!!! ;)
This is how The Five Doctors SHOULD have looked! 🙂👍
Whoever you are, cunningmunki, you are nothing short of a genius.
0:00 - 0:31 Was just a whole load of awesome.
That would be amazing if the Who logo morphed into the new one at the beginning and went to colour, followed by David's Face.
Stunning mixing of video and audio will there be a sequel Peter Dominic and keff
I liked it , very cool
Geoff Love lol i had that version
❤😮😲 jaw= dropped!
The middle 8 😢
this is just what the beatles saw before making magical mystery tour in 1967 /j
I'm curious as to where you got the elements from the themes from. 🤔
I found the Howell and Derbyshire stems online (after some sleuthing) and isolated the Delaware and Geoff Love themes using Lalal.ai
@@cunningmunki Ah nice! I figured that the howell pack is somewhere again, I did some of the isolations.

A doctor who theme generally has one middle eight

Sorry but to me the video edit is a lot better than the themes mash - up
Oh great another Howell Derbyshire mix
How new, totally hasn't been overdone
yeah, I agree, it definitely has, but precisely no one is forcing you to listen (but if they are, I can only apologise)
Could I use the first thirty seconds for a video I’m making in celebration of 60 years of Doctor Who?
sure of course
