  • The stabilizers on these Tab trailers are subjected to a lot of abuse. Water, road grime, salts, etc. and since they are underneath the trailer they suffer from that "Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind" thing. So if your trailer is complaining by groaning, squeaking, or stiffness, when you crank, then do them a favor and lubricate.

    Thank you so much for taking the time to educate others on proper maintenance. I've learned so much from your channel! I just had a question about how often the 7pin should be lubricated. Is it similar to the hitch ball in the sense that it should be lubricated each time it is disconnected?

      I add dielectric grease to both the trailer, and the truck about twice a year.

    Thank you! I used one that is all gunked up. Do I need to do anything to clean off the old gunk before using the dry spray?
