@@movieswelove99 Identity can be a funny thing. Denial of a person's identity is just one of the ways in which abusive people can harm their victims. It is a way of diminishing the victim's self worth. Ultimately, this tactic can be traced back to military strategy designed to demoralize an enemy force. It implies that the abuser has complete control over the victim. This is touched on in one of the sequels as neo speaks to one of Zion's counsel members at night. However, the OP is right in saying that it doesn't necessarily refer to transgenderism specifically. But I'm sure it was a big part of their experience in life. Deadnaming is very much a part of the experience those who transition have to contend with. As such to further claim it has 'nothing to do with' is an uninformed opinion.
Other exciting things: did you know that in the original script, humans weren't supposed to be a source of energy for the machines, but rather a processor? Because to keep a human alive in a cocoon, you have to inject more energy than you can draw from it, and the Wachovskis had originally planned for the machines to use human brains as a neural network. Hence this idea that “reality is in our minds”, much more to the 1st degree in this case. But since AI was so poorly understood in 1999, they had to simplify the script. And also, Smith was the one. Remember the 3 criteria of the one: 1- to be born in the Matrix (which is not the case for humans), 2- to be able to reshape the Matrix as he pleases (Neo has powers but can't reshape the Matrix in his own image like Smith can), and 3- to be able to make the Matrix collapse. Neo even protected the Matrix from Smith. As a result, the trilogy ends with Stockhlom syndrome, with humans celebrating their captivity. One more thing: the spiritual initiation Neo undergoes in 1... ticks all the boxes of sectarian indoctrination. From the famous “If you're not one of us, you must be one of them” to the banishment of the pleasures of the flesh (don't look at the woman in red), as well as the break with one's former life and loved ones (“you can't go back”, which is also called into question), the hierarchical superior whom everyone obeys, and so on. Moreover, this superior, this guide, whose name is Morpheus... Is Morpheus a god who puts people to sleep or a god who wakes them up? The oracle itself says he's totally blind. We see in 1 that when Neo pulls out a diskette from a book, it's titled “Simulacra and Simulation”. The Wachovskis have spoken out about the book from which they drew their inspiration, also explaining that it was intended to serve as a box, so it was HOLLOW. Empty. The Wachovskis explained that, once in reality, humans reorganize themselves into armies, hierarchical systems, etc., and that this doesn't change anything. That the 2 doors in the architect's house came back the same. That even the choice of the blue or red pill was just an illusion. As the Merovingian says: there is no choice.

Lot of factors go into casting-as you know. And there were a few actors who didn't look awesome or "bad takes" in the film. The guy saying "it's so cool!" or whatever the line was, when Neo wakes up on the ship. And jeez, Keanu's "I know kung-fu!" But they had only done a couple of major pictures at that point. So to me Carrie Ann was perfect for the whole thing overall. Her physical ability, appearance, make-up all conveyed a very STRONG sense of dexterity, agility and poetry in motion. She just "looked good" and I think she came off as almost being equal on both sides of the Matrix. My memory is, from seeing it at the time, people exploded in the theater when she did her stuff. And I saw it opening night IN Hollywood with multiple famous actors who paid just like everybody else. Talked to Sinbad after the show and he loved it. I don't mention that to say famous people are special, just an example, he didn't know her name but he said he loved that first shot of her doing the roof run and police fight...

GOOD GAWD!!!!!
Why does their LIFESTYLE have to be drug into this?🤷♂️🤷♂️
Just let it be a GREAT Action film!🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
Can't you even spell WEIRD right?!?! WTF is this? Werid but true... OMG
If you're a Matrix fan and seen these types of things you didn't know, then skip this, Just a rip-off of all the others 🙄🙄
Wokeness has ruined this series and is trying to ruin the first movie.
The matrix never made sense to me and I don't think it was such a good movie.
Perfect cast
Thank Dog Will Smith declined the role.
B4 I watch, I bet I know.
Too bad the Wachowskis crewed up since the third and the four was utter garbage.
This editing and insight is great. This VO is yawn inducing. Is it AI, a purposeful choice, or... the matrix?
Ah Will Smith turning down to go film Wild Wild What? instantly forgettable.
This sounds like CHAT GPT stuff
It runs into some accuracy problems, too... whoever wrote this has clearly never read Neuromancer.
How come the movie dialogue in this is hard panned to the right?
You need to correct the spelling in the video title
It says WERID facts
I'm embarrassed to say but I never noticed that neo spells one until it was pointed out to me. I guess it's because neo has two syllables so unless you see it written down, but that's not much of an excuse because the first thing you see on the screen is wake up neo so I must just be an idiot
Jeez I'm glad Smith didn't do it! Forget Rob D Smith would have been doing some awful rap...wickie dickie dickie in the matrix...lol
why is Mr. Anderson, why playing with words? under sun or under son?
Ah yes, very werid facts.
Both brothers identify as women. Bull. It's a publicity stunt.
Great content. Dumb title.
The Wangchopskis have been a tremendous contribution to film history. The original three Matrix movies are one of the greatest film arcs of all time.
ha ha ha , no --- the first was awesome -- the nest two were stupid and sucked
Wangchopskis… genuinely lol’d thanks for this
@@firstname4337 😆
@@Jin-Hu 😋👍
LOVE the irony... it's all that's left for me now in this shithole!
I was looking at it as:
Watch out skis
what are the chances that BOTH brothers turn out trans. cmon.
1:03 noooooooooooo
Werid ! Do u agree ?
Werid facts, eh?
Plato's cave is the real allegory, I don't care if they're both trans now, don't ruin and take away the impact of the original meaning.
