Thanks for sharing. I just did my E82 N52 oil pan gasket, first time also for me. As you said, the next time it'll go much quicker! However, I took it real slow and it turned out well. The hardest part with the N52 is access to the left side (drivers here) oil pan bolts because of the two transmission cooler lines. Fully removing the engine mount from the subframe on that side only allowed better access to the bolts with ratchet extensions. Btw, nice Quickjack system you have in your garage👍🏻. I see you also use Adam's from CO for your detailing. Great products.
Ive done all the work on my f10 535i M-Sport but this time this job is something i just may have to pay someone one with experience to do. I have to cave in, 8 have no choice! While all that jumbo of parts are out, the mechanic might as well replace both engine mounts!
How much did you end up having this job done for? I am in the same situation. This is the first job I don’t feel I should do myself and I also need the engine mounts replaced at the same time
Seems u must've gotten the wrong set of bolts and a prior oil pan job was done that you got different size bolts on ur car when u took it out. Im looking at my BMW OEM #11132210959 bolt set for my 2011 F10 535i M-Sport and it comes with 7 long bolts, 3 medium bolts and the rest are all 23 small size bolts all same size!
THANK YOU for posting about the bolts. I've been looking everywhere
