Do try to go for Cereberus **SPOILER ALERT** The storyline there deals with particularly Circe, whom Odysseus deals in the myths with some hilarious..options.
Woo! Odysseus was my favourite faction in Troy, too. I find that the Safe Havens are a good way to get high tier units without having to tier up settlements and then wait or keep sending armies back to fill in lost units or upgrade units. Send a spy on ahead to where you're about to war, put the Haven in somewhere you'll take towards the end of the province and BAM you can just cycle sack while you recruit up better units in your following armies! Made my conquest of Crete much more engaging than just pushing across the island.
Loving this, looking forward to the next episode! I’m playing a Paris campaign on the pre-mythos game at the moment 😁 It can’t be a “Pyrrhic Victory”, because King Pyrrhus of Epirus isn’t born yet! 😜 So they renamed it to be era-appropriate, which I love. The “Cadmean Victory” is a reference to Cadmus, the mythical founder of Thebes. He lost his best men slaying the dragon that guarded a sacred Ismenian spring at the site of Thebes. Fetching sacred water to anoint the new city. Whoopsie! Athena then told Cadmus to sow the teeth of the dragon in the ground - which sprouted into fully-armed soldiers! The Spartoi! Then all but 5 of the Spartoi died when Cadmus threw a rock amongst them and they all accused each other. The survivors helped Cadmus to build his acropolis at Thebes. So the founding of Thebes was a pretty bloody affair all round. Also, Ares apparently liked that dragon, so he indentured Cadmus to servitude as restitution. And cursed him a bit. And his whole family. Eventually Cadmus and his wife turned into snakes 🐍
The "Saga" titles from the studio are always a great place for them to test wild gameplay mechanics and new tech so they're often a great place to see what the future holds. There's so much stuff in here that I love :)
I like how your victories are measured in happy dolphins.

Damn man super cool comment!
@@samueldavidbatistaruiz7510 Thanks! I learned that stuff from plenty of other cool people 😁
Real Life footage found of the True Odysseus
Harpies and the griffin units are my favorite. Troy essentially gives you an air force you can use to harass the enemy.
Oh man, Odysseus is back! Just remember to save manually, Janet!
The Gryphon looks like a real life bird, called "The Bearded Vulture" :o
Those ghost spearmen are nice, but they dont replenish :P So use them suicidally
I hate that seasick trait on agents. They get it super often, dragging the whole army back, and it's not like you can just not go to sea...
16:54 - 16:58 you can see sea monster, maybe leviathan, doing whale thing.(English is not native language, so I don't know correct term,)
Damn! Even without the Mythos additions Troy looks like a gorgeous game with some interesting additions to the TW formula.

4:21 " he was also renowned as an accomplished semen"
pfrrfrfrt
Time for some occasional Janet I haven’t seen this yet so pretty excited.
Modern day Greece actually groups all the Ionian islands into the same admin region with Lefkada (Lefcas), Corfu (Scheria) and Ithaca all together.
God the sirenes look like seagulls...
@Cornelia that is true but now i expect a mod that makes them say 'mine' all the time
I keep thinking the voice-over is saying "The enemy has shited your hidden unit", and yes, it makes me laugh like I'm 10.
I’m really not good at Total war campaigns but I feel like if I watch the play through I’ll get better
Hey Janet, have you tried the historical mode? What do you think?
It just occurred to me that you are fighting on the island of Kephallonia where Assassin Creed Odyessy places Alexios/Kassandra. Cute.
That was the first thing I noticed when I saw the reveal of Odysseus
But he needs to lead 600 men
