i think you can go with 4GB (onboard) x 4GB DIM(slot) to be sure for dual channel , but i have tried 4GB (onboard) x 8GB(slot) and it still worked as dual channel

My keyboard as well as my screen seem to fall off. By torqing the whole housing the screen comes on and off. You mensioned the flatcable for the keyboard. Can you tell me where the flatcable of the screen to the mainboard is located? If you can, I will open the housing and check the connectors. Hope that will fix those 2 problems.

I have bought S145 i5 1035G1 81W8 variant around a year ago but I've found out that 8GB RAM isn't enough these days (especially for multitasking because of home office or school). I'd like to upgrade my RAM but I don't know how much GB I can use (lenovo says 12 is max but others say it can have more) and which exact type or manufacturer I have to use. Also does the upgrade have influence on power consumption or data? (I'm not IT guy so I'm not really good at these things). Thx for help
yes , you can add 8GB ram dim in the free slot. low impact on power consumption, you will not feel it. you can try also 16GB dim but I haven’t tested it.
if you are careful with it , it should be fine. before touching the main board, touch the metal on the copper cooler to discharge yourself , prevent ESD discharge .
If anyone is wondering, I upgraded my ideapad s145 i5 1035G1 by swapping the factory ram (4gb 2666mhz) with a 16gb 2666mhz ram from aliexpress. (4gb soldered ram + 16gb stick = 20gb lol)
Sorry my friend , they are soldered to the main board. So the upgrade needs special hardware tools and is very hard. I recommend you to buy another laptop.

i don't think, you can reinstall windows on SSD and it should activate automatically when connected to the internet.
