Had my 2022 Outlander in for an oil change and told Sevice, I was having trouble with the transmission not shifting out of low gear when the temperature was below freezing. After driving a few miles the transmission would shift normally. The mechanic told me he had an Outlaner and that was normal. I called Mitsubishi and filed a complaint, that is not normal. I had the same issue in February, days after purchasing the Outlander and reported it to Service. Will update after Mitsubishi resolves the issue.

thank you for your videos Mr. Mitsubishi. Sorry haters but this Mitsubishis is great, I bought one recently I used to drive a Nissan X-Trail and change to this, and I do not regret it for a minute, we also own a 2020 AWD Outlander Sport (ASX) which is beast but a little too rough. I live in Costa Rica, so we have a lot of uphill and downhill daily driving and this paddle shifters are very useful. I do a 20 miles commute every morning and half of each is urban driving and the other half highway like with a steep downhill, shifting my car to third gear prevents me to abuse the breaks. I personally like CVT and thinks this one is quite good, some people don't like CVTs, well buy a car without one and if you like sporty go stick. Last year I rented an Alfa Giulia, with paddle shifts and real gears no CVT, it was wonderful, very sporty, it was wonderful quiet superior in every driving aspect but will not do for me as a daily driver, I enjoy too much the roomy car, the silence, the seven seats, the off road capabilities of my Outlander, and when you compare the paddle shift experience is not that much different, what to me shows a lot for the Outlander. So my personal experience has been very positive, maybe because I sit down and think what I wanted in my car, and I bought what checked most of the boxes.

The only complaints are the hood flutter, some being replaced by Mitsubishi. The second issue is parts, expensive and hard to find. The third issue, no parts list in the owners manual. Apparently the replacement parts like air and cabin filters, sparks plugs and light bulbs a secret.

Paddle shifting isn't going to make this Nissan Rogue clone any faster. It's a CVT and not a particularly good one. There far better options for a smaller suv. Besides the vehicle itself, where you gonna get it serviced. Better question, why is Mitsu, who once made fun car's you wanted to drive, still trying to sell car's in the US?

Very valid points. I had a 09 Lancer GTS, and many of my car's parts are still on a 2022 Mitsubishi. Simply sad you have a company that just doesn't care.

I just rented one of these. The way the auto shifter works is the dumbest design ever. I had to watch a TH-cam video to figure out how to shift it and still have to pull, brake, push, and click around with it until it goes into gear. Ridiculous. And if people want manual, why not just offer that with a clutch and stick? Even that would be easier than figuring out the auto shifter through trial and error.
