- We have something brewing with Jeremy McGrath that involved some motos on his trick KX500. Rather than having you all wait for the full video to drop, we figured we would throw up one lap from his GoPro footage and let you listen to the throaty purr of the KX500 as The King ripped around Cahuilla Creek. Whole lotta coasting! Tracks just aren’t built for the 500’s anymore. It’s like a little “snack” for that 500.

I use to own one and I couldn't agree more I was almost never in a higher gear or in a higher rpm

KX500 only bike I've ever owned or raced. Current one is a AF.
Service Honda?
@@TriptoCo Not a Service Honda. Used a 05 CRF250R frame and a 1997 KX500 motor. The pipe is the only Service Honda part and even it had to be cut at the head and reworked. It's still a work of art and gets lots of looks and gust riders at the track. Most come back saying never again. Lol shaking their hands.
The 500 appears... or sounds slow because of the low revving motor. Mute the video and realize how fast that thing actually accelerates. ☝️😎
If anyone thinks that looks slow just because of the sound needs their head checked 😂 you'll rarely even hear a 500 rev like with an average rider on it so if it's revving like that you know it's going places fast

Must say that wind noise surely sounds like & reminds me of a pro chargers waste gate . Sounds pretty sikk considering the kx500 in its own right is a manly beast . Way to go McGrath still rippin & Gavin fun after all these years .
Every dealer that sells bikes should own a local track for people to ride on.... like in ny, long island. There is no where to ride, yet they sell like hot cakes. We have a great spot in calverton but they won't do it. We need a drag strip also..... for racing cars. Someone with some money should look into it.
He's still got it and still enjoying himself.

Yeah its McGrath we all know hes great....BUT...really look at his line choices here,....look at his timing.....hes so talented.

This guy has no reason to be on a pro track let alone on a 500cc. My advice is for him to start on A 125cc and when he learns to rail a berm then maybe a 450
