One of the tests I use for finding the right style is a highly banked inverted circuit. If I feel like I have “push” the nose of the model through the turn to get it to stay on the same path, I’ve got too much style. If it doesn’t feel locked in, the style is a bit too low. Kyle Dahl gave the best explanation of the feeling when he said it feels like electronic stick tension- I’ve noticed that too. Also if the style is too high I can’t make the model piroflip smoothly. Higher style does seem to make for very nice and precise elevator tictocs. Another great video Richard 👍
I normally set Agility to the max rate the helicopter will sustain, which is about 42 RPM or 250 degrees / s for the blades/power system I use, and take it from there.
I tried that app for a bit, but somehow I managed to change a value by mistake. I can't risk having that happening in a competition, so I got rid of it.
Ah! Well I’m not at competition level. Just getting to understand Mikado and my Heli. I will make sure to disable the pot after I dial in a parameter! Very cool how once the value is set to one’s preference, after disabling the pot, that value remains as the new value.
I didn’t realize it was changing that ratio. Do you notice in some models you prefer a different setting vs another brand of 700? On some I like 50 and others 80? Great job explaining this.
I ran 80 on previous models, but I was also flying differently back then. I've not done back-to-back testing, but I'm sure it would be model dependant.

Good to know. Have you tried assigning style to a pot for inflight tweaks, rather than land, adjust and repeat.
