- In this video I'll be explaining best weapon type in nioh 2 and why you should pick it up in the begining of the game and continue to use this weapon!
I believe it's one of the strongest and most versatile weapons in Nioh 2! That's until it gets nerfed of course.

IMO the Axe is a Great weapon that a lot of people over look but it is deadly.

Also for reference Ki is pronounced like "Key".
Glaives are good, but I prefer dual swords. Fast spam attacks, great skills, and SOTC is the most OP skill in the game. I can SOTC spam cheese any boss.

I started using the switchglaive a few days ago for my NG+ run. I've never put it down. It's just so flexible while maintaining a strong offense and defense.

FINALLY, I've been waiting for your nioh 2 content
1) This weapon scales highly on Magic stat, so you might be locked to it an entire playthrough.
2) This weapon family has a relatively poor block stat.
3) This weapon has good range but lacks in control (parries, sweeps, etc).
4) This weapon is EXCEPTIONALLY KI HUNGRY starting out. If you do not flux pulse you will be sent into the red.
5) If you're not careful, the weapon will lock you into super long combos.
Odachi, If you know how to use it, is the best weapon in the game.
I love the odachi. It is the only weapon I use. I will try the switchglaive though
darkness switchglaive mid stance is great dps against bosses but doesn't have the break that odachi does. It's hard to run enemies out of ki with it
Austin that’s good to know. I’ll stick with odachi. I’m loving that weapon with its reach and power. I’m mostly in mid stance but change to high stance depending on the boss
I’m trying to adapt to it as I’ve used the fists for so long it’s gotten boring. Would like to change things up a bit.

its good weapon i agree but i prefer Tonfas and Dualswords more..I always loved Dual weapons in any RPGs I play !

Remember that you don't pronounce the word "Ki" as "Kai". It is a Japanese word that refers to "spirit" or "energy", which is pronounced like the word "key". You wouldn't pronounce the martial art "Aikido" as "Aikaido", right? I will give the switchglaive a try. I have been using the Odachi in conjunction with Onmyo magic.

Nah for human enemies spear is better IMO you pretty much double your health which is way better than any other stat. And for Yokai Kusarigama with Ninjutsu feathers aka nuclear bombs.
Honestly I feel like ki recovery is the same for every weapon because if you utilize the ki pulse regularly than you’ll always have enough ki to launch another combo

Good video, once I got to new game + with the dual swords, and I gave the switchglaive a try on a new character. I find the swicthglaive far more demanding on ki, and since it is one of few weapons in the game that doesn't scale damage with heart or courage, I imagine it could be a tough weapon to use if you don't have great ki pulse timing. All that said, the switchglaive has made my omnyo build pretty fun.

All the weapons are good. It depends on what you like or what you going for.
It sucks cus weapons I WANT to be good simply don’t compare. I personally don’t like the way the switchglave looks, nor do I care for the way it feels. I much prefer the sword, splitstaff, dual swords, spear, Etc.

What's a good weapon besides axe or spear to go with the switchglaive?
Dual Swords or Tonfa.
Both are amazing against humanoid enemies, including bosses and revenants, once you unlock the right skills for them. Specifically the Dual Swords' mid stance god of wind skill is just bullying to any humanoid. It's good against yokai too as it's a high ki-damage skill, build your swords around ki damage and break and dual swords are op with that.
Tonfa are just relentless high-speed, high-mobility, high-break. They're also fun and cool as hell to use.
the reflect can reflect bullets and cannon balls

Very strange, but I see guys play with females on this game more than any other game I've played. I highly doubt this game draws a lot of female players so I can only assume I'm running in to male players. I've had many of them even go as far as to role play by curtseying like a lady and everything with their character. What is it about the females in this game? Both male and female models look great so I find it very interesting.
@@SoulslikeEnjoyer09 Dude, there is a time and a place for that. But hey if that's what rocks their boat more power to them. Even if that's the case with me, I wouldn't go as far as role play it out by curtseying and everything to other players. Roleplaying is actually pretending to be the character or avatar you are controlling. So, I think its a bit more than just having something nice to look at.
I sometimes enjoy playing as a female character because we get a lot of male protagonists so changing it up when I have the chance is always a breath of fresh air. I know in specific games some people believe that female characters might move faster or have a thinner hit box but it’s really hard to tell.
