    Gorgeous bracelet. I was determined to conquer my irrational fear of 2 needle beadweaving, and thanks to your wonderful tutorial and instructions, I did it! Thank you, thank you!

      I've got a tip for you!
      Get a standard coark board or something similar, lay it on a table & use it as a beading coaster/surface.. then you can stick the needles straight into the surface/board!
      that really helps when you use 2 needles, bcs you always know where the other one is.. it also can help you from thread-tangles & makes the process feel way easier & less like a mess with needles & threads to wach out for all the time..

      Tina Kunkel Thank you! I buy my beads from many different places. I don't have a good bead store where I live so I get them from craft stores and I also like to go to thrift stores and buy old jewelry and other beaded objects and recycle beads from things that eventually would be thrown away because it is damaged or missing a few beads. I also buy online. Have you seen this video? Getting Organized Storage for Findings and Beads or any Arts and Crafts

    Hi, there first of all I love your beaded jewelry, also your choice of colors. I'm fairly a new Beader. Everything I use fireline with bicones it never fells my fireline brakes and I'm always starting over. Does fireline come with a letter or just fireline, for instance (8lb fireline D) or just (8lb fireline)

      Connie LaVigne I lucked out and managed to find them at a thrift store and at a store called Tuesday morning other then that I have never seen them in a craft store. You can buy them online from bead companies and in any color you want.

      You can get montees on e-bay, just be sure you buy the Swarovski ones with the crossed over holes, NOT the ones with the flat back, they don't work.

  • @nancybradcoe1680
    @nancybradcoe1680 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Alesha, I see in this pattern, you use bicone crystals. Are your bracelets holding up on the Fireline? I made some bracelets a few years ago, and gave them as Christmas gifts, about two weeks later they started falling apart. The crystals were cutting through the Wildfire thread that I used. Bead & Button says crystals will cut through Fireline, but most of their patterns use it, crystals or no....so are you sure these will hold up on Fireline?If you say it will, I will make this again, using it...Thanks!

    • @NewWind333
      @NewWind333 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nancy
      Fireline is totally different from Wildfire thread.
      Fireline is a type of monofilament (it's actually a type of fishing line to be exact)
      so that means that it isn't really thread in the sense that it isn't made from spun fibers.
      Wildfire beading thread is completely different and crystals will cut through it.
      But crystals shouldn't cut through Fireline, because Fireline is very durable.

    Montees can be found at Shipwreck Beads. www.shipwreckbeads.com/catalog/Findings-and-Components/Preciosa-Rhinestones/Preciosa-Rose-Montee-Rhinestones/Sew-on-Rhinestones/SS20---4.6-4.8mm/ Be careful to look for and buy Montees that cross like an X on the back. Some suppliers offer what they refer to as Montees that have parallel holes, not Xs.
    Swarovski Item 53102 are Montees that have the X-cross configuration. Just Google Swarovski 53102 and you will find online suppliers. Fusion Beads offer Montees in 4mm size. www.fusionbeads.com/search#!Crystal-Collection/SWAROVSKI-CRYSTAL-SEW-ON-STONES/Swarovski-Rose-Montees&ea_a=Size%3A4mm
