    I just finished my bracelet I did it in lilac and it came out beautiful. I did not have the button for the clasp but I used a magnetic clasp and it looks just beautiful. Thank you so much for you tutorial I really learned alot. Instead I did a round loop in seed beads where I can put my jump ring for my clasp and it just came out perfect. I really love it.

    If 4mm pearls were used instead of 6mm, What changes should be made with the other beads? Would it be to just use a different amount of seed beads or would you also have to change the size of the crystals for the embellishment? Thank you for the video!

    Hi, I just acquired heaps of 8 mm fire polished beads, could I use them for this bracelet? I know I will have to adjust the number of seed beads in the embellishment, but would I need to use a bigger sized seed bead or will 11/0's still be okay? Thanks from New Zealand for your lovely tutorials (though many of the beads you use are not easily sourced here and shipping costs are a killer!), Mandy :)

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mandy, you can use 8mm fire polished, but bear in mind it will be much bigger than the 6mm. Lay your beads in that chevron shape on your bead mat and you'll be able to see the size a lot better. I usually use 11/0 and 15/0 seed beads for embellishing and covering the thread, so I wouldn't go bigger than 11/0. Work a few rows and see what you think about the 8mm beads. Happy beading and Merry Christmas!

    This is a lovely bracelt; I am making one for my niece's prom. I am fairly new to beading and would like to know how to add a lobster claw to this particular bracelet. I know how to add a lobster claw to a single strand, i.e. crimp beads or wire spacers, but again, this bracelt is more inticate. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just finish like we do, except you can add both the lobster and a soldered ring to either end, ignoring the loop.

    In place of the Czech bead can you use swarovski crystal if so what size and shape (bicone) ? Also are Czech beads fire polished the same ?

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use pretty much anythingi nplace of the Czech fire polished crystals. I believe they were 3 or 4mm. Faceted Czech beads are fire polished... Swarovski crystal and Preciosa crystal are machine cut, and not fire polished. That is why the edges will be more crisp on crystal than on fire polished beads.

    i'm a begginer but i understand the pattern easily...what i'm having problems with is the thread....5ft in a lot to deal with and i can't get to fold over evenly without it knotting up...do you have any tips on threading and handling that much thread at once?

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can start with less and just add on. If you are starting with 5', have about 3' of thread that you are working with with a 2' tail. As you move along the bracelet, keep decreasing the length of the tail so that its length is slightly less than the section with which you are stitching.

      I believe the glass pearl color was Sapphire, available here:
      www.thebeadco.com/SPD/glass-pearl-6mm---sapphire--9191733279500173569.jsp
      The Swarovski color is also sapphire, and the seed beads are galvanized silver.

    Hey Allie:) Thanks for another great design. I was wondering if I wanted to trade up down to 4mm pearls do I need to drop to using 15/0's or will continuing to use 11/0's still work out without making it look cluttered? Also I'm not big on the faceted crystals so in the cross over sections (final embellishments) one seed bead or two to fill in that missing small faceted? I already figured bicone's aren't the best mix in this with all the turns and risk of them wearing through the thread. thnx for all you guys do!

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +The Anti-Social Hunter/Lady Dark Shade I think 15/0 are definitely going to look better if you are doing that. You will probably just need to play with the seed bead count a bit to see what fits. For the embellishment, you can really use anything you want that fits... and see beads would probably work just fine. Thanks, and be sure to post a picture on our Facebook group:

      +melchora pablo We wholesale to some stores/websites in Australia for the products we produce like RounDuo, Cup Button, RounTrio, DiscDuo, Potomac Crystal, etc. You can always request that your local stores contact us to get those products. For a pattern like this though, very simple products are needed that you should be able to get at any local bead store.

    How many pearls do you need should you decide to do it all with pearls?

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Francesca Bartolo probably right around 100 6mm glass pearls in one of these bracelet designs for a 7-7.5" bracelet. Our strands of glass pearls have about 67 beads per strand, so 2 strands will be more than sufficient. Here is the link to those:
      www.potomacbeads.com/Glass-Pearls-s/2443.htm
      Of course, you can use anything 6mm, whether it be Czech, faceted, gemstone, metal, or whatever you like.

      This bracelet pattern uses a lot of beads! However, you can always use 2 different colors or even two different types like in the video. The number of beads will also depend on your wrist size and the type of clasp you are going to use.

    Potomac Bead Company Can you use stretch cord for *any* bracelet, or only certain ones? What gauge/thickness, etc wire do you use, and what type and size threading do you use? T.Y.I.A. :-)

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Would not use stretch cord for nearly anything. We use Wildfire beading thread for pretty much every beading project. It is available in .015 and .020 thickness, but would recommend .015 for most applications. Very simple.

    • @ice557
      @ice557 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Potomac Bead Company OK. TYVM. Yes, I have seen Wildfire thread and wire in Walmart, etc. I've never made bracelets (of the beaded kind) before, only Rainbow Loom and the string/embroidery thread kind with the knots. I want to try making the beaded type now. Thank you for your videos. They look extremely helpful and do-able. Thanks again for replying. :-)

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We and most other beaders would recommend buying things from pretty much anywhere other than Walmart, which is only going to have limited selection, and generally poor quality products that will likely be more expensive than bead stores. We have Wildfire here:
