    • @NomadicAdventuresEst2010
      @NomadicAdventuresEst2010  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      GD, we both have over 10 years of videos on here. 7 years of owning this site, and almost 9 years of videos from excavating on it. It would be just like someone digging up a really good Artifact field, instead of plowing them up for 100 years.

    • @NomadicAdventuresEst2010
      @NomadicAdventuresEst2010  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jbilly24 to start digging with a bobcat. First, you can't be like most people, and go out and buy that Brand New car or truck. You have to purchase land that you know is a good site. 2nd, bobcats can cost as much as a brand new car. So if you have a friend who already owns one, ya might invite him to join in.
      But most people aren't like us. And I prefer it that way. Most are sheep to one system or another.

    • @jbilly24
      @jbilly24 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NomadicAdventuresEst2010 relax brooksy, I never made judgement on the ethics of digging with a bobcat. I’m only providing context to the guy who said “you make it look easy”. Well compared to walking miles of gravel beds and digging on your knees for countless hours (both of which I know you and Richard have spent years doing) it is easier. Hey, we’re not getting any younger so I get it.

    • @NomadicAdventuresEst2010

      @@jbilly24 I'm always relaxed. And definitely not getting younger. Wiggle pick digging, for me is about over with, not saying, I won't try, cause I know I will. But it is more difficult nowadays than I ever imagined, through all the years I pushed myself like mad to do it.
      And that's all I want doing, adding context to your comment, so they new viewer understands, nothing comes easy, nothing happens without a lot of self sacrifices.

      Like most occupation site's, very possible that Etley culture used it periodically throughout their entire existence, whether that be, 1,500 or 2,000 years. Each time they stay, they leave a certain amount behind.
      I'm fixing to do some videos, hopefully Live, on all of my prehistoric life theories. Though, as I'll mention many times, everything I give, will be a massive collaboration of and everyone I've learned from, and all the years of hands-on experience. Though I have no doubt, having an impeccable memory to retain a lot of important information, and a brain that never stops analyzing, are the biggest attributes to that cause.

    Y'all find some good sized ones more frequently than I do here in central state TN. For a good early archaic to come out over 3" I'll find twenty that are less than 3". Lots of early dart points and all the tools that accompany them but not common for me to pull blades of finished base points with substantial length. Not for lack of material either which surprises me sometimes. We have solid variety of great materials but still the 4" + points are just so much less frequent.
