- Damon Lindelof, Co-Creator, Executive Producer and Showrunner of the HBO series The Leftovers will be joined by Actress and Critics’ Choice Award winner Carrie Coon (Nora Durst) in a special conversation about the critically-acclaimed season two. The session, moderated by Todd VanDerWerff, culture editor and head TV critic for Vox, will explore the creative process from both showrunning and acting perspectives.
10:04 Impressive body synchronisation between Carrie and Damon.
Around 37:00, discussion of the feelings one has when travelling a lot and staying in hotel rooms, Damon hit that nail right on the head. I had years of that in my career and now that I'm retired I wonder how I managed to go on doing it for so long. Immediately, I thought of Kevin's choice of "Homeward Bound" as his karaoke song. Wonderful creativity.
why aren't people laughing at Carrie's jokes, it's making me uncomfortable
because she tells the same anecdotes in every interview
Yeah! Tough crowd. Perhaps they've not watched the show.
She is such an amazing actress!!!
nice callout to Mr Robot at 34:05, and a great explanation
she is amazing in the show, really talented actor, her acting in the final season id put up there with anyone ever.
The Leftovers was such an interesting series, VERY underrated! I enjoyed many episodes multiple times. Too bad some viewers were not patient or curious enough to follow it through.
I'm not gonna lie. I just finished the series...and it haunts me.
I love her props to Regina King! So gracious and beautiful.💛
I love Carrie C’s “Nora”. The final episode was phenomenal! When she gave her birthday, I was stunned, it’s my birthday (not the year). My empathy for her character went to another level and I watched the series again.
Carrie is an exceptional talent and she brought that skill set to “Fargo”.
😘
Oh f**k, i could fall in love just in a second! 😍
The session was soo well moderated. Thanks, Todd :)
Carrie is going to be amazing on the new season of Fargo
She is. What a great actress!
I remember one of the first episodes. It was all about her character. It was amazing.
So frustrating to not have been able to view clips along with panel. I watched this several years ago, & I still haven’t seen anything this profound , unique & MOVING!! It is AUTHENTIC!!!
Give the moderator a raise. Well done sir.
what was that sync about 10:04
That’s not Nora Durst onstage! 😉
Excited to see this
brilliant speech about a brilliant show
best show ever
SPOILER ALERT.
now it makes sense, the first season was exceptional, 2&3 were so poor, 3 being absolutely ridiculous
U tripping bru
I couldn’t disagree more... but like with any entertainment... it is subjective.
@@deehiblemcnuggfet4417 i have high standards, which explains why the 1st series; the original material, was an extremely good observation of human behaviour coping with loss and grief. And why series 2&3, was just "guff" written by Damon Linedlof and his staff writers. Who seemed to completely miss the nuances of the source material. So, no, i am not tripping bru ....though albeit, sounds like you are brah.
@@TheSebiestor I thought the second season was great, almost equal to the first one.The final episode of season 2 could be the ending for me and I would be happy. I thought the third season jumped the shark.
There is something about Carrie, she's just extraordinarily beautiful. Damon Lindelof used be one of the best writers in Hollywood -- Lost, Star Trek, Prometheus, I liked his mystery/layered/convoluted stories. But this show is not up to par, he's kind of fallen off of his game recently.

That's funny because The Leftovers is the only thing I like from him.
The Leftovers is amazing
The Leftovers is probably his best work. I imagine that opinion may be in the minority among fans
Absolutely, undeniably incorrect. His most mature work.
All three you just referenced are garbage, piss poor writing.
