I've had the Aeropex for well over a year now and I feel it is one of my best running purchases. It sits comfortably, audio is good enough for running, bluetooth connection is good, you can hear ambient noise for safety and it recharges quickly and simply. My biggest annoyance was earbuds falling out my ears when running as I perspire profusely so this was a perfect solution. I think your review Edd summed everything up very well. 👍 By the way, remember that Fawlty Towers episode where Basil Fawlty scolds(spanks) himself "You're a naughty boy, Fawlty!" Imagine doing that after missing a rep time. 😄
My son has wore these for around 6 months now and loves them, I purchased these because I needed him to listen out for traffic whilst on the roads, the only problem he came up with is that he can't wear his Oakley sunglasses when it's sunny as they both sit on top of the ear. These aren't Sennheiser quality but they do the job. Great video Edd👌 hit the nail on the head.
I have been using Aftershokz headphones for about a year now and I really enjoy them. I live way out in the country where there are no sidewalks to run on so being able to hear traffic is a must. These really work for that on everything but electric vehicles they need a whistle or something.
I've owned these for just over a year. I'd rate them as the best purchase I've made for running after my watch. Absolutely recommend if you can fit then in your budget.
Four stars for this one. Listening with aftershokz while eating pizza and then the musical interlude covers my all time favorite CCR songs- great job Ed!
I've been wearing these for over a year - originally had the Trek Titanium model and one of the earpieces stopped working and got a good deal on the Aeropex - sound quality much better and overall build quality as well. The two magnetic charging cables is standard which is a nice touch for having a cable at work and at home. Great video Ed - no waffle as usual :)
Hi Edd, I use the XTRAINERZ model that is suitable for swimming as well, the highest quality headphones I ever had, long battery, comfort and reliability
I’ve enjoyed mine for a couple years without any issues, agree with your review on all points. Used to cover some CCR in the past, always enjoyed Green River and Born On The Bayou very much, their version of Midnight Special is another fun tune to play that always got a great response from the crowd .
I use these too and love them like everyone else. I would never run with closed-ear headphones, so these changed running for me by enabling me to listen to audiobooks and music while running for the first time. The only difficulty I've encountered is in the winter when I need to wear a hat that covers my ears. The skull caps I'd used in the past don't fit with the aftershokz. Eventually I figured out how to wear them with a baggy winter hat, but it's still awkward and breezy.
I love my Aeropex! I did get a bad pair initially which the battery died on less than 6 months after I got them, but Aftershokz honored the warranty no problem and sent me a new pair without requiring me to send dud ones mine back, and my 2nd pair have lasted over a year now. Definitely one of the best purchases I’ve ever gotten for running. My ear canals are oddly shaped and I have not found a pair of in-ear headphones that doesn’t fall out after a few minutes. I have no problems wearing them with glasses. Overall an amazing purchase.
These are fantastic. I bought a pair mainly due to their waterproof rating. I’ve destroyed numerous headphones (Beats, Bose, Jabra) whilst running due rain/sweat. This hasn’t been an issue with the Aeropex. If you’re after indestructible headphones, these are for you.
I have been using them for about a month now and I really love them. The battery life is even longer than 8h for me (about 12h). Using them for hours everyday :)
I also rotate between the Powerbeats and the Aftershokz. Obviously Powerbeats wins on sound quality but I think the AFtershockz do fine considering they let you hear your surroundings...which is very important for safety depending on where you run!
Hey Brian, you have got it in one. Some people say "The bass isnt there" well its horses for courses for these. They have their place in the arsenal of gear :)
Love these - the audio can't be as good as in-ear phones, but it's pretty good and being able to hear around you is great. I sometimes use them for the odd work conference call too :D
Bought this to replace my Titanium that has gone kaput after two years. I hope this One will be more resistant to my torrential sweat. It is very expensive in Malaysia. RM 665
After trying various types of headphones I took the plunge with the Aeropex about a year ago…….nowadays they’re just as important to me as what’s on my feet
@@EDDBUD absolutely the driving factor for the purchase. Delivers on exactly what they claim. Side note, They charge incredibly fast and have no battery issues still after 5 years.
I am wearing the JBL Endurance Dive for running. For me the most important thing is to hear nothing but my music with a good base :) But I can understand the safety aspect…
I totally agree proper physical buttons every time. When you wear them with glasses do you get that super annoying “tap, tap, tap”? Or does the silicone covering prevent it? Ta.
I had these for 2 weeks as I wanted to see if they were good for cycling but had to return them as they sounded awful and I couldn’t hear talk radio over the wind noise. However I’ve been running with AirPods Pro with my Garmin Fenix 6 for the last 2 years and absolutely love them, they are so comfortable for running and they sound fantastic. Bone conducting headphones are good in theory but if you are coming from decent in-ear headphones and appreciate good sound quality you will be disappointed with Aftershokz because the bass is almost non-existent. I think they are more for pleasing the health and safety people in races but to be honest I’ve always been able to hear enough ambient noise with AirPods. It just reduces traffic noise to lower levels. And you can actually appreciate your music more.
Want some of these but just can't put my PowerBeats Pro down. I'm far out in the country so don't need to hear anything but great sound for those incredible guitar rifts from AC/DC and the Scorpions.
They are good for music. But for for podcasts they are better. Music quality is one important thing when it comes to headphones. But when it comes to running headphones there are more important things to look for. ease of use probability to lose ( impossible ) comfortable to wear safety They are VERY easy to operate. So simple to turn on and stop. And VERY easy to charge up again. That magnetic thing is smart! I also like you can very easily take them down on your neck. I know I can easily hear my surroundings. But other people don't know. So when I for example am in a supermarket I'm polite and take them down to the neck when I need to pay. They are a little expensive, but I'm super happy with them. I actually use them for several hours a day!
I am glad these are working so well for so many people Jacob. A real revelation on the market with so many benefits. The mag charger is cool and as you say, very hard to loose :)
On my third pair. Great product, including in heat or frigid weather. Sound quality is solid for Audible books (my usual fare for backcountry trail training) or music without sacrificing situational awareness. PS: If you press the Volume Up button it will indicate high, medium or low battery life.
I like them for voice, podcasts. I don’t think they sound really good and feel very comfortable for the type of music I like.. electronic with lots of bass.

You had me laughing on the Basil reference. Love that shoe, manic stuff!

A sterling recommendation Simon :)

A good half marathons worth. Quite amazed! 👍🏼😊
I love my Aftershokz, I use them for listening to podcasts whilst out running or walking.

I try and get to the point without any umming and arrring :)
Time is precious and means more time for running :)
Interested to try these out. Thanks Edd for the review and look forward to more headphone reviews…
I have one for almost one year already, I love it, perfect for running...
I agree Bruno. Especially when you want to take in nature or be safe in an urban space.

Cant beat some CCR. Love their stuff, simple, raw and no gimmick.

Another top viewer experience. I have to say they work well for me so far. Might come in handy for work purposes as well! :)
They are the best. Absolutely love them.

Yes they appear to be cat resistant too. Beast had a go at them and no dice!
Referencing jungle and dnb in the review (which i know you would) makes you the best headphone reviewer out there ⬆️⬆️🤠🤙
30hz range wont be detected by these bad boys. Tested some old moving shadow tunes on there :)
I have been using them for about a month now and I really love them. The battery life is even longer than 8h for me (about 12h). Using them for hours everyday :)

I do like the open air nature of the design and so light too!
I have the original version of these (5 years old now) and they still work great! Not over ear quality but hella good for running.
A good balance between sound and safety.

Haven’t had any noise issues with glasses as yet. Don’t often wear my glasses for running though.
They are different, but great to use. Can hear all the traffic and the music. Use the ear plugs for gym time shut yourself away.

When it comes to overall power those are the best. I can crank up the level and good nuts. 😂

Are those the hoka rincon 3 in the background 👀
Live in about 10 mins :)
Something different today! 👍
Enjoy Rob! 👍🏼
Am the first to smash that like button though...
How is the mic? Can you carry a Teams meeting or phone call with it without sounding like you are in a wind storm?
Mine broke. Aeropex didn't want to know solely because I'd thrown out the box. Offered me 10% off a new pair
I'd avoid given they cost 150
Sad to hear this
Edd, so, you're out there, running around lovely Yeovil, listening to Ivor Cutler...? That's great!
Jungle tip. 😊
I got the 🇨🇳 version works the treat

I always stop to play with the cats, there's one on my road who follows me home every day.
One of my cats has attempted to follow me running before! 😊
Hey
Edd the cat whisperer🤣🤣🤣
A lovely beast that one. It knew i was in league with the master kitten :)

One day we will fly again. Really want to run around Japan.

@@EDDBUD woohoo! A sell on eBay and I can buy some headphones… how much do you think virtual bronze medals go for?
I like them for voice, podcasts. I don’t think they sound really good and feel very comfortable for the type of music I like.. electronic with lots of bass.
The way the ear works they wont deliver that type of bass, but for other stuff a great choice.

Instructions unclear boner conduction headphones i didn't hear a thing!
These look nice. But when you sing like me there’s just no need.

Forgive my Americanism, but, what is, “BOON”??
A mid eighties show on uk TV which was about an ex fireman turned body guard. Also an added bonus to a situation.
Please don’t tease us with those Rincon 3’s sitting behind you there. The people need the Edd Bud review!
