    Great video. I have minor scratches and swirl marks on my brand new F-type amd I would like to install XPEL Satin ppf. I would really like to remove those scratches before applying ppf film..is that recommended? Will buffing and applying sealant interfer with ppf application process?

      Thanks. Yes we have clients who like to have their vehicle machine polished before applying film. I wouldn't recommend a sealant before applying the film as it would reduce the adhesion. If you wanted to chat more about some options for your F Type, perhaps email me on info@awccardetailing.co.uk

    Does xpel stealth comes with hydrophobic properties?

    • @AWCCarDetailing
      @AWCCarDetailing  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It doesn't. We add XPEL Fusion Matte ceramic coating on top for that water beading effect. Also allows the customer to keep their warranty as using other ceramic coatings on top of XPEL film can invalidate the warranty.

    So the ppf will cover the metallic flakes?

      @AWCCarDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว +8

      With a vinyl wrap this would be the case, however the stealth PPF still gives you that metallic like look under a light.

    @2:27 is that gloss black showing between the doors (the vertical door line)?

    • @AWCCarDetailing
      @AWCCarDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, that is the reflection. That line is wrapped right to the edge so you can’t see any gloss black.

    Do you guys wrap the door handles too? It's tough to tell from the video.

      Yes the faces of the handles were also wrapped on this vehicle

    Does this eliminate dust? What’s the reliability? How does it do in hot and cold weather?

    • @AWCCarDetailing
      @AWCCarDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The car will still get dusty if that is what you mean. The film has a 10 year warranty so no cracking or yellowing. We have cars we PPF'd 3-4 years ago still looking like new. Weather is no issue with either satin or gloss film, in fact the PPF prefers warm weather as it self heals.

    How much does the ppf coating cost?

    • @shadowwarrior23
      @shadowwarrior23 ปีที่แล้ว

      Expensive. For a Toyota 4runner in Xpel stealth, it costs around $7500 USD to get it applied to whole vehicle.

    What was the exact "gloss black" paint color name? Looks really great btw....very clean, great work. Does one still wax it? Or how best to maintain that?

    • @AWCCarDetailing
      @AWCCarDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Black Saphire I believe. Thank you very much. We ceramic coated this finish so that all the customer has to do is clean it with shampoo and rinse off. A wax we wouldn't recommend as they can be a little to glossy for this finish.

      Wrong. It’s self healing so if that happens the PPF literally forms back to normal and goodbye rock chip.

      That's entirely the point of ppf lol it's a sacrificial layer for the paint.
