  • Twisting element has been used in Jewelry Design widely. I would like to discuss the some tips I use in my cad model. it can also be applied in other design industry.
    This tutorial is done by Rhino 6. The exact commands can be used with Rhino 5 and older version.

    Very useful like always ...simple and easy ways..I hope we 'll see more product sketch based tutorials than jewellery in the future...Greetings from an industrial designer :)

      I do have two jewelry hand rendering tutorials on my channel, but not having sketch yet. but designing a sketch lesson is part of my future plan, as that is one of the course I teach in the college.

    妳好PJ Chen老師,我想請問一下,在長方形體上做扭轉之後,再延伸至一個封閉的圓形,在接縫處的地方沒法完整對齊,有方法能夠除理嗎。

    But sir I requested you to make a video over different types of locks for bracelets.. Can you please make a video over it?

    • @PJChenJewelryDesign
      @PJChenJewelryDesign  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure what other previous requests you sent. This is the first time seeing the bracelet subject from you. If you are interested in the different type of "clasps" for bracelet and necklace, www.stuller.com and www.riogrande.com also pintrest will be a good start for your research. Most of the commercial clasps used for jewelry industry is machine made due to the metal tension or springs inside of the clasps, which may involve die struck or machining engineering. In a lot of cases, manufacturing specific clasps usually requires the minimum order, so buying ready-made clasps for your design is actually easier and cheaper than have it custom made.

      @@PJChenJewelryDesign Thank you very much sir... One more question I have. Do you teach designs personally?? Please reply me

    • @PJChenJewelryDesign
      @PJChenJewelryDesign  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I teach both jewelry and industry design in college here in USA in the past 14 years. I do design freelance but not teaching design course personally, since it usually takes a very long time to explain the design process and develop design techniques.

    how can i determine whether the twisted object will be inside or outside of the target line during ''flow along curve command '' ..??

    • @PJChenJewelryDesign
      @PJChenJewelryDesign  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the object is 1mm above reference curve (the first curve you pick for the flow along curve command), the object will be 1mm above target curve. I will suggest to have "record history" on, so you can move around the object easier after flow.
