I bought this last November. I can't walk by it without picking it up. Beautiful guitar. Glad I went for it and didn't listen to those who told me not to buy a guitar with a Floyd Rose as a beginner. It only made me learn about setting up guitars faster. Mostly because I had to (the first time I changed strings I removed all the strings and the tremolo went way down into the body, I thought I'd killed it. XD )

Thank you @Guitar Man2YT I'm using GT100 with amp simulation. Without any other effects except little bit of reverb on the clean sound. For the distortion sound, i'm just using High Gain Stack amp simulation with little but of delay and no any other effects were added too. Have a nice day
Hi, this is awesome. I bought this guitar a couple of month ago with Fender GT100. I've just found out you use the same set. Two questions: 1. How low can you set your string action? I can't get below 2mm (.080) for E string and gauge 9.5 Daddario (I higly recommend). 2. Do you use any amp EQ or just flat? (I use Guitar focus 2).
I didn't measure the string action. I adjust it according to my comfortability without any interuption like fret buzz etc. I'm using Ernie Ball Super Slinkly. Certain patch, yes, i will be using the EQ. But for this video just flat.

JDS...the 470 and the 370 are the same....for some reason in Europe and UK it's called 370...in the USA its sold as 470. Not sure why...but anyways...same model and specs.

I decided to send it back and ordered a Schecter Hellraiser Hybrid C1 FR-S. I still love the look and sound of your Ibanez... if only the QC was there with the one I ordered.
I'm using GT100 in all my cover videos. Direct to pc recording. For practice amp, I'm using Blackstar ID Core 40. Price is affordable and not too expensive. Stereo amp quite powerful eventhough 40 watts.
Sry but this am not really recommend this guitar as your first guitar imho, better to buy guitar with fixed or regular tremolo bridge guitar(strat) as it's much more flexible and easier to maintain and setup, Floyd rose could be little bit overwhelming for beginners, intonation setup and changing tunings can be very annoying if u don't understand electric guitars and floyd roses(many people block tremolo system just to not deal with it), only difference between floyd rose guitar and fixed bridge guitar is tremolo arm which is cool and all but it's not necessary, if u buy this kind of guitar just give it to someone to setup it for you, otherwise this is great midrange guitar with floyd rose, most guitars below this price with "floyd rose" system are not worth it bcs they have shitty floyd rose but this one is very decent for it's price.
What effects are you you using with it is it just reverb and delay. I really love the tone and would love to get that tone of you can tell how you get that.
hi @All the Fail, thank you for watching. In this video, i just added some reverb on the clean tone. Without any other effects like EQ and so on. For the distortion sound i'm using High Gain Stack amp sim with delay only. No compressor or clean boost. The reason why i didn't add too much effects because i wanted to let everyone listen to the real sound from this guitar. Have a nice day

Hi @Christopher Ferrari, that's cool if you planned to buy it. Your questions below. 1. Does the fretboard get dirty easily? Compare to rosewood. Maple is much more obvious to spot the dirt. What i do is clean the fretboard everytime after play. 2. Is it difficult to set it up? If you're asking about the strings setup and intonation, it would be a no from me. This model has ZPS. To setup the guitar is actually not difficult. I setup myself after i brought it home. It takes couple of hours. String action, intone and sound setup. 3. Any lack? Edge Zero 2 will feel slightly harder compare to edge 3. It is because of ZPS. I just removed the ZPS few days ago. It seems cool. But i will reinstate it few weeks later. Other than that no any lack

Hi Matthew, you're most welcome. Let me share with you. Comparing the Floating Tremolo (Floyd Rose) and the normal tremolo. Floating tremolo required some extra efforts. But anyway, there are alternative solutions for you if you planned to get a floating trem. First, you need to send it for proper setup. Especially the intonation. It will become a nightmare to the beginners. If you're willing to put efforts exploring the floating trem, you can find there are lots of video explaining on youtube. My first guitar has floating trem too. I learn how to setup from an owner of jamming studio. It tooks couple of days to explore the setup. I love floating trem very much. That's why i'm willing to put all the efforts on how to deal with floating trem guitars. What i'd suggest you is to go for the one you desired. If you willing to learn how to setup a floating trem guitar, go for it. Have a nice day,

Hi Giorgos. Yes, this guitar is quite heavy. Let me share the pros and cons of this guitar with you. Pros: 1. Tuning stability is great with Edge Zero II ZPS. 2. The tone is awesome even with stock pickups. Cons: 1. The guitar need to perform proper setup. 2. Fretwire will get dented after few years. Probably of my playing style. I replaced Stainless Steel 3. Tremolo arm easily get loosen. I replace Magik Arm. 4. Maple fretboard need extra care. Be sure to clean after play. If you have anything else to ask just let me know. It's quite heavy. Similar to basswood body guitar. Not that heavy as Les Paul

The fixed bridge is Prestige series. Prestige has Dimarzio pickups. Mine is Standard series and the pickups not the same. 😊

What amp would you recommend for practice? Or what amp are you using? Ill buy that as my first electric.. Nice cover btw.
I'm using GT100 in all my cover videos. Direct to pc recording. For practice amp, I'm using Blackstar ID Core 40. Price is affordable and not too expensive. Stereo amp quite powerful eventhough 40 watts.
Sry but this am not really recommend this guitar as your first guitar imho, better to buy guitar with fixed or regular tremolo bridge guitar(strat) as it's much more flexible and easier to maintain and setup, Floyd rose could be little bit overwhelming for beginners, intonation setup and changing tunings can be very annoying if u don't understand electric guitars and floyd roses(many people block tremolo system just to not deal with it), only difference between floyd rose guitar and fixed bridge guitar is tremolo arm which is cool and all but it's not necessary, if u buy this kind of guitar just give it to someone to setup it for you, otherwise this is great midrange guitar with floyd rose, most guitars below this price with "floyd rose" system are not worth it bcs they have shitty floyd rose but this one is very decent for it's price.
What effects are you you using with it is it just reverb and delay. I really love the tone and would love to get that tone of you can tell how you get that.
Yes, mainly just reverb and delay. By the way, I'm using boss gt100 direct to PC without guitar amplifier

Dude what have you got dialed into the GT100 for that tone? It's ridiculously good. Compressor, clean boost VSTs?

In this video, i just added some reverb on the clean tone. Without any other effects like EQ and so on. For the distortion sound i'm using High Gain Stack amp sim with delay only. No compressor or clean boost. The reason why i didn't add too much effects because i wanted to let everyone listen to the real sound from this guitar.

1. Does the fretboard get dirty easily?
Compare to rosewood. Maple is much more obvious to spot the dirt. What i do is clean the fretboard everytime after play.
2. Is it difficult to set it up?
If you're asking about the strings setup and intonation, it would be a no from me. This model has ZPS. To setup the guitar is actually not difficult. I setup myself after i brought it home. It takes couple of hours. String action, intone and sound setup.
3. Any lack?
Edge Zero 2 will feel slightly harder compare to edge 3. It is because of ZPS. I just removed the ZPS few days ago. It seems cool. But i will reinstate it few weeks later. Other than that no any lack

Hi Matthew, you're most welcome. Let me share with you. Comparing the Floating Tremolo (Floyd Rose) and the normal tremolo. Floating tremolo required some extra efforts. But anyway, there are alternative solutions for you if you planned to get a floating trem. First, you need to send it for proper setup. Especially the intonation. It will become a nightmare to the beginners. If you're willing to put efforts exploring the floating trem, you can find there are lots of video explaining on youtube. My first guitar has floating trem too. I learn how to setup from an owner of jamming studio. It tooks couple of days to explore the setup. I love floating trem very much. That's why i'm willing to put all the efforts on how to deal with floating trem guitars. What i'd suggest you is to go for the one you desired. If you willing to learn how to setup a floating trem guitar, go for it.

Yes, this guitar is quite heavy. Let me share the pros and cons of this guitar with you.
Pros:
1. Tuning stability is great with Edge Zero II ZPS.
2. The tone is awesome even with stock pickups.
Cons:
1. The guitar need to perform proper setup.
2. Fretwire will get dented after few years. Probably of my playing style. I replaced Stainless Steel
3. Tremolo arm easily get loosen. I replace Magik Arm.
4. Maple fretboard need extra care. Be sure to clean after play.

Hi, i never tried Schecter so far. But definitely you can give it a go with this 370ahmz. Mapple fret produce brighter tone too. With the ZPS tremolo, that's an awesome combination. Cheers
