- Hollow Knight is a topic I haven’t tackled in ages, but it has finally come out on top in the most recent poll I put out to my subscribers, so it’s time to jump back in! People seemed to enjoy the Variety Episode format I used earlier this week, so I thought it’d be fun to try that again!
In today’s episode I’m turning The Broken Vessel into a Kaiju or Titan or Giant Monster or whatever you wanna call big stompy beasties. I’m also turning The Radiance secret final boss into a suit of Fantasy Armor, Troupe Master Grimm, leader of the Grimm Troupe, into a Folklore creature Vampire sorta guy and Hornet into a Jedi (though one that looks more like a Sith or Inquisitor from Star Wars than a Jedi).

Please, we need more episodes narrated by the Van Helsing squire, he's a great character and I honestly think he has the potential to become as popular as Benny Sharp.

Interesting fact: the trigger on a lightsaber has to held down to keep the blade active. Without the force, you can't throw it and have it stay active

I’d suggest cartoon characters as DC or Marvel heroes or villains
Hilda (Going with her troll form from the movie, could be connected Thor, due to their ties to Scandinavian mythology. Wonder Woman could work too, even though she is more connected to Greek mythology, but she interacted with other mythologies as well.)
Steven Universe (His origin could be linked to the Green Lantern corps., as the gems’ bodies are light constructs similar to those used by power rings. Considering the Homeworld Gems’ obsession with order, they could be the in-between stage between the Manhunters and the Green Lantern Corps.)
Anne from Amphibia (You could go with the first two seasons and have her be connected to DC’s Kamandi world, a post-apocalyptic future inhabited by mutant animals, or Marvel’s Savage Land, a secret location in Antarctica inhabited by Dinosaurs, cavemen, and dinosaur people. Or you could go with the third season, especially the series finale, and use the Blue, Red, and Green Lantern power rings as stand in for the Calamity Gems and the transformations associated with them, or even have them be the counterparts to the Infinity Stones, in which case the Infinity Gauntlet would serve as a counterpart for the Calamity Box.) Also include Sprig as his Frog-Man superhero identity from season 3.
Yumyulack from Solar Opposites (Can be connected to Brainiac, seeing how his hobby of shrinking people and keeping them as pets inside of the wall is similar to Brainiac shrinking and collecting cities. In fact, seeing how his and his family’s home planet, Shlorp, was destroyed, it could have been Brainiac’s doing, and Yumyulack’s family might have been able to copy the technology. Also, in season 3 of the show, it’s been said that Shlorpians have fought and lost to Superman, before saying that they can’t show it due to copyright laws. Season 3 also introduces the SilverCops, who are a parody of the Green Lantern Corps, and they have a long lasting feud with the Shlorpian race.)
Kid Cosmic (He and his team “The Local Heroes” may be connected to the Green Lantern Corps, as they all use rings with Cosmic Stones in them as their source of power. Or the rocks they use can be the Infinity Stones, seeing how the main villain of season 2, Fantos the Amassor, was partially based on Thanos)
Molly McGee from The Ghost and Molly McGee (Specifically her wraith form from the season 1 finale. She can have connections to Deadman or The Spectre), also preferably include Scratch.
Mandy from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy (With connections to Death of the Endless, or Death from the Marvel universe)

An interesting idea for a variety episode could be Digimon, since a lot of them are dragons, superheroes, have mech armor, and other stuff, so maybe you could switch them up a bit, like an Angewomon mech armor, or a Leomon dragon
Very true! Funny enough, I actually have technically done a Digimon Variety episode, but its like 2 years old now before I actually had Variety episodes as a concept. But definitely open to a modern one 😁

I just want to hear a ridiculous story where Benny convinces the Sharp Gang to prank a bad guy or monster. Either that or going over how there can be different versions of fictional characters existing even when it was not done by an overseer.
Now i want an entire episode of hollow knight kaiju it’s so cool i love it!
This was really fun to watch, I loved every second of it. I really hope we get horror icons as dragons to come back I think it’s a fun series that needs more attention, and here is my idea for that…..
Spencis Charnas Origin
After studying the Honey-Hook Wyvern, I end up seeing a couple of knights from the Las Angels Guard working on a quest about the death of a women who has connections to a specific person they were looking for which has a connection to these dragons I was studying. So I was lead to this carnival of carnage we’ll call it which had some of the dragons I talked about already like the Fanged Jester, the Scorched Nightmare, The October Slow Stalker, and the 4 other dragons that I mentioned already. It made me remember the times I went to the kingdom where Willis Afterian used his so called dragons as attractions which is now a different kingdom entirely at this point and the kingdom has been destroyed by the time I’m telling you about him.
But I also saw and interview the owner of this place and his name was Spencis Charnas. He was wearing a suit that resembled half of a Scorched Nightmare and a Crystal Lake Camp Stalker with half of his face (well 25% of his face) covered with the fake skull of one of these dragons. But he also was holding a cane with a skull on top of the handle and wore (just for show) a bladed glove which represented the right hand of a scorched nightmare. He told me that he was really fascinated about these dragons sense he was little when he encountered the same exact October Slow Stalker that I studied that was caged here, which he said inspired someone to kill his sister, her friends, and even his parents which he ended up killing him in self defense but also he was a kid at the time and I don’t know if a kid could kill a full grown adult. Then he told me other things about him like he is the leader of a traveling folk story group that tells tales of these dragons.
But when he said that I did see when studying the Crystal Lake Camp Stalker that there were these lines of their little tale in the area which said…
"He Drowned in all our sins
He drowned in our mistakes
Fueled by the flood, we pay in blood
The curse of Crystal Lake"
And then I forgot about when I studied the Honey-Hook Wyvern I saw these lines which read….
"Left to die under the sun
The hive never spared anyone
How 'bout the hand for the honey bees
Hooked on the creed of their colony"
The most messed up part about the writing is that they were written in the blood of the dead bodies that were at the area where they were written.
Also Spencis told me about this place’s history and the dragons that he really wants in here and he even gave me the privilege to study them after hours when the place closes since he knew I was the Overseer of this world and knew how much I liked studying mythical beast, he would even asked me to create more of these types of dragons if I wanted too.
Then I asked him the big question that I think he knew I was gonna ask which was….
Why is the Las Angels Guard after you?
He told me more about his past where he was connected with the case of the death of Elias Black who was the alchemist who would help Spencis with his nightmares while he was traveling with his group which he told me that the fanged jester that was caged here, which I remembered that I studied that exact same fanged jester tortured Elias and killed him and now he is connected to the death of the women that I heard about which turned out is his Fiancé and the Las Angels leader Captain Harris isn’t stopping until he is behind bars. But Spencis told me that he knows who really killed her and he won’t stop until the real killer pays for what he has done.
But then I shook his hand and then left after talking to him and he even asked me if I was coming to opening night of the carnival and I told him yes and he told me these four words that I won’t forget "Sometimes…. Dead is Better." Which ended up gave me a shiver that went down my spine for some reason.
Then the big night came and Spencis Sang one of his songs with his group which was the Anthem to this place.
Then Spencis say these three words that would end up sticking with me every time I go to this place no matter if this place is opened or not which were…

For context, the character Spencis Charnas is based off of Ice Nine Kills Frontman Spencer Charnas who has made horror movie themed metal albums and I turned him into a ringmaster and owner of a freak show like carnival were these dragons are now going to be residing.
The Honey-Hooked Wyvern is based off of Candyman and the Crystal Lake Camp Stalker is based off of Jason Voorhees.
But overall what do you think?
Also can we get an episode like taking anime characters and putting them in the world of Persona (specifically the 5th one) or just a straight up Persona episode?
He seems to like your idea, but i think he's giving priority to the irons he already has in the furnace, because i lost count on how many times i asked for an episode of mythological creatures as either mech suits or transformers

I would REALLY love the idea of future Variety episodes having the Multiverse Tales characters talking to each other about the same topic like you said near the end of the vid. Also, looking forward to the Community Redraw coming this Monday. Speaking of redraws, I talked about this idea when commenting on your Wednesday post, but I wanted to bring it up again here. What do you think about a potential future community redraw where you take fan-made SCPs and turn them into superheroes, supervillains, and/or mech armors? Heck, the story in that one could be Benny and Abigail Apple Squash coming to some sort of mutual understanding like Kayla and Ulitus did.

My personal favorite of these is Troupe Master Grimm. Like the design of Grimm is one even I’ve used to make some stuff so anytime I see a new drawing of him is cool to me but him as a folklore creature fits surprisingly well as do all of the drawings in this vid. Great job Pop.

With Anne from Amphibia, you could use the events of the first half of season 3, and have Waller take the place of Mr. X. Or in the case of Jolyne from “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean” have Waller take Pucci’s part in her incarceration. Or have the series finale of Star vs the Forces of Evil, only for the magical heroes of the DC multiverse interfere at the last moment (you can even include your own multiverse heroes) and stop Star from destroying all the magic of the multiverse. Or have Wonder Woman interfere in the events of the final Attack on Titan season, stopping Eren’s genocidal campaign. Or El Tigre’s constant flip-flopping between hero and villain finally catching-up to him. Or Aquaman busting Luffy and his international crew (Oda officially stated what nationality each of the Straw Hats would be in the real world) for piracy.

I’m loving the variety episodes and I even had an idea. You could use this for series that have similar character designs like for example wings of Fire, all the dragons look pretty similar so if you tried to turn them into one thing it would be difficult but with the variety you could just focus on key features

Radiance as a fantasy armor was an amazing idea and I loved it a lot! my favorite from the episode by far!
The Broken Vessel and Troupe Master Grimm were pretty clever choices for their conversions!

Shovel Knight - a heroic warrior from the Outworld’s Zaterra region, going after Shang Tsung/Quan Chi/Shinnok to avenge his longtime partner.
Shantae - a heroine from Edenia with some Earthrealm ancestry, and a vendetta against the Black Dragon gang, who joins the tournament in an attempt to take them down.
Jacket from Hotline Miami - an assassin from Earthrealm’s Miami with multiple personalities (each personality tied to a different mask and possessing its own fighting style), who’s enigmatic handlers sent him out to wipe out the Black Dragon gang, only for him to become tangled-up in the tournament.
The Batter from OFF - At first glance an old timey baseball player from Earthrealm, but in reality a horrific entity from Orderrealm/Netherrealm/Chaosrealm, on a quest to purify the realms, one who’s true nature would leave even the likes of Shao Kahn deeply disturbed

You could turn plants vs zombies into scps, dinosaurs, kaiju, demons, transformers, mech armors, fantasy armors, superheroes/supervillains, and dragons I guess using plants and zombies you haven’t worked with.

Another idea is that you take video game characters and put them in Overwatch? Like Glamrock Freddy or Sonic or Lady Dimitrescu?
Video 3 of asking for another Owl house or Amphibia related episode. Perhaps owl house covens as mechs? or owl house characters are superheroes/ villains?

Another cool episode as usual PopCross Studios!!! The kaiju version of Ghost was my favorite, and having Heath mention how many kaiju live underground in his world was a nice touch. It has got me thinking of that old Undertale Characters as Kaiju video you did a while back, and that it would be cool if you did a sequel to it someday down the line. I'm not exactly one to make video suggestions (cause a lot of people do that already) but I figured I might as well suggest this once. Keep up the great work as usual!!!

I have to admit, Christian that for your second variety video featuring Hollow Knight characters. This video was incredible and absolutely amazing. Your designs were absolutely outstanding and incredible. Really enjoyed the poses of each of the characters and colors schemes that you used. They really made your designs stand out and make them look alive in some way.
As for the lore of this video, it was beautiful well written and entertaining. I enjoyed the fact that you used Hurricane Heath, Vasilia Kuznet, The Ward and Assistant of the Van Helsing clan and a new narrator too. I also enjoyed how each story was included information for each character that was used in this video. If you do another variety video, maybe you could do a Digimon focused one.

This was incredible. I love Hollow Knight ever since I discovered it because its story is pretty interesting, and I've always been a fan of your dragons episodes since I love dragons a lot Plus your SCPs and armour episode have also become my favourites because their just simply amazing. So seeing you turn Hollow Knight characters into kaiju, jedi, folklore and armours is perfect. I especially love The Radiance’s fantasy armour and Hornet’s Jedi design the most. Broken Vessel’s kaiju design gives off a cool demonic beast with some insectoid flare to it that’s a fearsome hunter and someone I would not want to encounter at night...plus he just looks like something that would the stuff of nightmares and reminds to always be wary of what lies below the surface, The Radiance’s fantasy armour designs gives off that of a cool ethereal paladin and warrior look that’s like a physical representation of what a warrior goddess would look like and she would fit perfectly in a D&D campaign...plus I love how its the perfect outfit for combat as well being simple and aesthetically pleasing, Troop Master Grimm’s Folklore Creature design just makes him look like an ancient demonic entity that’s not only ready for a hunt but also capable of toying with those he views as beneath him...plus I love how he still has that classic vampire look to him and still dresses in style while also showing why his considered a creature of the night, Hornet’s Jedi design makes her look like an even more badass warrior/hunter that’s also a brawler/fighter that’s always ready for a challenge and looks forward to a great battle...plus I love how she's a Togruta she they're pretty fiercest fights and hunters, and I could see her potentially becoming great friends with Ahsoka. This was yet another amazing video and its one of the best ones with a new topic I haven't seen before...and I like it. I'd love to see you you try to do more videos like this where you do a variety of everything that your good at since I think that would be a great opportunity. This was incredible and I’d love to see you try to do something with more characters from Hollow Knight because since their designs are simple, theres a lot of room for great designs and details. Plus, I’m down for more videos where you have multiple narrators contributing to the topic of the video...it was also cool to see Heath narrate again. I'd also be ok with seeing you do a video on drawing more Hollow Knight characters as either kaijus, SCPs or as mech/fantasy armours, since I think that would be pretty interesting...plus if its the case for armours, I think Benny and Vasilia would have a blast. For topic of variety episodes, Id love to see you try something with either the MCU, Justice league, Young Justice, Ben 10 or maybe more YuGiOh characters/monsters since I think there is some excellent opportunity for them. I think that you could totally do some cool things with the members of Hermitcraft. I know that Minecraft SMPs aren't your thing, but your SCP and Backrooms art is so good, that I think you could do some cool stuff. Perhaps Lord Grian Dreamslayer purchases armor from Vacilia. Maybe Doctor Michael Siebenundsiebzig (DocM77) buys a prosthetic arm and mech suit from Benny. Maybe IJevin the slime-hybrid as an SCP or a new superhero named Iskall-Man based on the titular alter-ego of Iskall85.

Amazing as always, the combinations in particular I think were extremely well chosen and turned out fantastic. The broken vessel kaiju has to be my favorite and honestly makes me want to see a full episode of hollow knight kaiju, though my want to see more of these variety episodes exceeds that. For the narrator universe compare contrast episode, maybe something like skylanders, it would be interesting to see what Vasilia knows about that place, I think I remember her mentioning to tayrun she had heard of of seen it before. Also which universe the normal games are in probably champagne’s.
