The way you did it makes it look like the circuit will work, but if you turn off the light using right or the left pair of switches you will never get it to come back on using the opposite pair of switches.

This is the Right way to do it by 2 switch 3 way in the first and the end and use the 4 way switches in middle .. U can add as many switches as you want from the 4 way switches but u have to start and end with 3 way

Para que funcione en todas las combinaciones, Forzosamente se requieren interruptores de 4 vías para las posiciones intermedias.
No solo funciona de los cuatro tres porque dos tienen que dar un cortocircuito para que se cumplan los toques.

switch 1 or 2 must be in the ON position, then switch 3 or 4 can work, if switch 1 or 2 is in the OFF position then switches 3 and 4 do not work

Per esempio devio il deviatore n.2 e successivamente il deviatore n.3 quest ultimo NON invia non fa passare nessun segnale elettrico ... il carico rimane spento ( ipotesi una lampadina come carico).
Per funzionare interruttore n.3 e n.4 si devono deviare insieme in poche parole insieme sono DEVIATORE INVERTITORE
Per soluzioni carichi da comandare da più punti:
2 punti: > 2 deviatori
3 punti: > 2 deviatori + INVERTITORE
4 ... o piu' punti utilizzare altri Invertitori.
Soluzione alternativa per numerosi punti di comando
N pulsante + un relais interruttore
( costo inferiore e montaggio piu semplice)

This is poor technique...try this combination and it wont work.
S1=> Off ; S3 => Off ; S4=>On then by changing S2 in either direction wont effect the previous state of bulb .. I have verified diiferent pattern using 2 way switches for controlling one bulb with switches more than two and this doesn't fullfill all combinations ..So only solution is 4 way switches if you want to controll bulb using more than two switches . Or one possibility is that you can make intermediate switches using two 2 way switches...

Just to let you know that his example didn't show the correct setup. He used four 3way switches. When in fact you need two 3ways and two 4ways. The first and last switches are 3ways switches. The middle switches has to be 4ways. No matter what.
For example you 10 locations of light switches the very first which must be a 3way switch and the last one has to be a 3way. All the final 8 middle switches have to 4way switches. In order to work.

Go back to electrician trade school - If more than 2 switches will be used to INDEPENDENTLY control power to a load, ALL switches between the first and last in the circuit must be "4 way" (ie -DPDT) switches. SPDT switches may only be used for the first and last switches.

No podrán encender la lámpara con el tercer y/o cuarto interruptor sin ayuda de algunos de los anteriores.. Para este fin existe otro interruptor, aca en Paraguay le llaman intermedio o punto intermedio.. Se coloca entre los puntos de combinación..
