Edit: I haven't tested it because I'm still on 1.1.0, but the word is that L-menu cancelling, which allows the infinite height glitch, was patched in 1.2.0. I don't have confirmation of this, though.
How about trying to beat totk with only using indirect damage? Like only using runes and champions to deal damage

Beat the game with ONLY the depths equipment, For gameplay reasons you can throw anything you find, but mainly the bomb flowers in the depths is what you should use there,

Note: when fighting Colgera, you can avoid using up any bow durability. You can instead skydive through his weak points to damage him.

BTW, for future challenges, there's a no puzzle blessing shrine in gerudo highlands. Don't even need to jump in a well, it's just sitting on a mountain.

You don't need that glitch for the ultrahand shrine, you can just hit the hook then shield surf on the rail.
You can get to the gacha machine next to the ascend shrine with stamina food.

I don’t think that’s physically possible. There are some shrines that you 100% need to use runes for or it won’t work.

@@mobamba4282I think it’s 100% possible. Proof is that all but 2 have been proven to be possible (that is to my knowledge). The other two should be possible. The most difficult is surprising Kisinona.

Really good scripting, entertaining voice work, and a good framing of problems in addition to their solutions. It's important that the viewer understands how hopeless something seems before you deliver the solution, and you did a great job on the Recall Shrine specifically!

You're... not far off, actually. Zuggling (the glitch abused in Any% pre-1.1.2 to get infinite damage and skip the boss rush among other things) actually uses the map rune to buffer. It doesn't skip GSI, but it does skip pretty much everything else lmao.
The most likely ability require to skip the GSI is fuse and ultrahand combined, to do a text dive with a korok. You need ultrahand to make some sort of vehicle to control where you’re going, and fuse to perform FE to get pushed off the wing.

It might have been more effective to gain the phantom armor instead of the Barbarian armor as it has more defense and looks cooler. It also has the same exact attack bonus.

Super underrated. U take challenges to the extreme. I suggested the “Medal Hunter” before. Idk if u remember or if u wanna do it, but it’d be great to watch. The rules are beat every dungeon with the loot acquired from the mini bosses that have medals of honors, and u can buy stuff by selling the loot and every Medal of Honor must be acquired. There are 6 of them. Most of ur challenge runs are way above others with mils of subs. Keep of the amazing work.

@@Drengodr ye the 2nd one is great. I may know how u can incorporate that into the challenge. Maybe just announce that ur allowed to use runes for temples and mini bosses where it’s absolutely required to like the frost gleeok phase at quarter health. I mean u just can’t use runes for everything else and every medal must be obtained.

Just a heads up, it is possible to reach the wing dispenser on the tutorial island without any runes. In my casual playthrough, for some reason I went up the cold area without going to the locked door at the Temple of Time first. You have to push one of the wooden boxes out of the nearby ruined building, towards the little platform where you would use ascend, and then you can climb onto the box, and from there, onto the upper area.
There’s 3 other ways. You can spawn other zonai parts to do basically the same thing, or you could just climb the walls (there’s 2 spots that I’ve done this hence 2 other ways).

14:34 the only time I ever could have used an octo balloon in thia game was when I upgraded every piece of armor, there might be an armor piece that requires one though I am not even sure of that. Octo balloons are so outclassed lmao

For the last block in the fire temple, you can also destroy it by standing on top of it on the bridge and shooting from there. Its way more xomplicated tho
There is a precise crouch jump you can do in the opening room but this wasn't known until after this video came out.

The wing dispenser is accessible. I did it by pushing a box near the root platform near the Ascend shrine (from the little building nearby), jumping up, then carefully climbing the broken stairs to the dispenser.

@@atothebtothezakadonutlord2951 It's already done though by smallant (granted using glitches, but mostly for duping items that technically can be farmed)
This is amazing, but you could have gotten enough blessings to get the master sword so you could have a decently reliable highish damage weapon as you go about. And then for the final fight you could have gone to the demon statue to trade out your stamina for hearts and still have the master sword to use.

Ah sorry, glad you enjoyed what you saw, though! The fire temple is the only one I did.
a useful way to kill lynels: use your highest-damage weapon, and either shoot it in the face with a bow, or dodge its charge and sprint up while it catches its breath, and climb on its back. the attacks while you ride it deal no durability damage, so its free-ish damage! and once you get good at hitting headshots on lynels, it kind of trivializes them
good use of setting a limit to where glitches are usable
Yeah if I allowed duping it might have destroyed the challenge, so I wanted to avoid that
There is another way up to recall, I found it in my casual playthrought, just get lots of stamina food and climb up the roots leading down, which is possible without fast travel as well, hope this helps if you plan to do this run again!

Instead of tight rope walking across rails, you can EASILY shield surf and it locks you onto the rail
for the final obstacle course on GSI, speedrunners deploy a wing while running, a bit before they get to the edge, then run onto the wing they just deployed and then to the next platform
I think this requires speed up though. You could also just glide down from the ascend shrine.

Wow great video. I’m currently on the newest version attempting a no rune, not zonai tech ,no magic(as in stuff like gems) and no purahs slate. It’s difficult but this video really helped with some parts I’m struggling with. ( Maybe you should try itXD)

The minecart spawns with the fan attached, and on the rails, so I luckily didn't need to worry about either.

This should be titled "what if Link never lost his hand" playthrough. Like, it was super lucky that Link had his arm destroyed, just in time to get this new super arm with all these abilities that he needed to beat Ganon. What if his arm had been fine? Then he wouldn't have gotten the replacement arm.
Actually, another playthrough could be something like, what if Link only used the abilies that were in Breath of the Wild? Can rewind, but only to keep objects still. Can use ultrahand but only on... metal objects? I think it was only metal in BotW. Can use camera.

I did no ascend and ultrahand because I don't like ascend, but getting around it in the plateau was interesting. Also pro tip there are 2 more bomb flowers at the right wall of the cave. Also next to the ascend shrine there is a box you can push to gain leverage and jump over to the wing section.

Ascend is one of the most straightforward abilities in the game. Why dislike it? I'd rather have the option to ascend through problems than build another contraption.

8:00 - in which a person who just spent like an hour jumping over large and tall gaps tries to figure out how to jump across a shorter gap that requires no height.
I was playing a game on Roblox called The Rake: Remastered when I got the notification for this video. I got to the most cheesy spot in the game by the power station (where you can climb on a ledge you aren't supposed to so the rake can't get you) and I clicked on this video! As I am watching, I am hearing the quiet noise of the chase music since I turned down my volume on that game and turned up the TH-cam one. Anyways, good video! I imagine rarus hand takes link to a flying ambulance made of sleds and the it like falls halfway through and is damaged arm just snaps off and just recalls to the great sky island and attaches the arm to binkus
Alternative challenges "The Germaphobe" challenge: Don't touch any of those unsanitary weapons or shields, so no weapons for you (Yiga unarmed attack is permitted, but good luck acquiring it without equipping weapons, as all other weapons and shields are banned).
Also
The "My paraglider is torn" challenge: your paraglider is not usable, if you skydive from any height, best aim for water or find a way to get to the islands with the glide suit via Zonai devices, because you have nothing else to negate fall damage.
Or to simply combine them,
the "Toilet hand" challenge: you can only use runes and Zonai constructs to beat the entire game. (getting the unbreakable Zonai construct items from the leg factory is permissible for the sake of boss fights.)
I would love a follow up video about if the shrines are possible runeless!
The next logical extreme is to finish the game without ANY Zonai-sourced items. This would include any orbs of light (after the required tutorial ones), the runes, the zonai devices, the secret stones (and thus the sage abilities), any zonai-related armor/weapons/drops, etc.
Bring this series to its logical conclusion by beating the game without ANY key items!
Should be TOTALLY fun. :)

Actually, this is what I did to get the wings before the ascend shrine (without ascend.) I just stacked trees, and it worked like a charm
By the way if you do a run similar to this I'd recommend getting only the fierce deity set because it gives you a total of nine defense and maximum attack but it can also be upgraded to one of the most defense armor sets so yeah hope this helps and have a great one
You can’t get the legwear and you can’t upgrade them because they both require ultrahand.
