    V6 petrol is ford Ranger raptor exclusive. Wont be in any VW versions. V6 diesel will be shared across platforms though

    I gotten mine just last week and its been a blast to drive, although its a fuel guzzler. But i managed to get as low as 14l/100km. Earlier it was 17l/100km but that's just me enjoying that V6 engine 😋 all in all, really happy with it

    Excellent features on the Ranger Raptor, seats, steering and the self moving automatic gear shift. For a heavy pickup truck it moves very fast. Good job by Ford. 👍👍👍.

    I have had since last September in Thailand I’m not an off road user just had to have speed and power that it delivers so effortlessly and yes it’s now increased in price. Not much can keep up with it on the road but on the other hand it’s pretty dangerous. Currently running at 13.2L/100km.

    • @mark-pb8zc
      @mark-pb8zc 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@cryptocrusader6078 I have the White go to Ford Thailand you can see the specs. Limited choices of Black/White/Red/Grey. That’s one of the negatives besides the lack of 3.0L option not being available on the Wildtrack in Thailand which would’ve suited my needs. Fords sales strategy is a bit dumbfounding when they build certain variants and colours in Thailand but only offer them in Australia for example. BTW if anyone in the UK is buying a Ranger they come from South Africa although the Raptor I’m not too sure where it arrives from in the UK.

    The punchy feel isn't due to the 288hp.It's the 362 lb ft of torque lower down in the rev range. The 0 to 62 mph time is actually pretty bad. The F250 crew cab diesel does the same sprint in under 6 seconds. Even the F450 is quicker than the UK spec Ranger Raptor.

      Thailand's got the 292 kW version as well. It's a blast. 5.5s to 100km/hr, it just screams to go faster. Got it since October last year and it's a blast.
      They've just introduced a lower spec version with the old BiTurbo 2L Diesel. Priced it the same as I paid last year and the V6 is now 180k THB more expensive. Thanks Ford, my Raptor just got valued higher!! lol..

      In the UK there are over 5,000 miles of Green Lanes / legal byways which can be used by motor vehicles. On top of this you have companies doing private tours, clubs (like ourselves) and private off-road sites which you can pay to enter. The Baja track in the video is at Slindon 4x4 in the South Downs 🙂

    I looked at an instragram comment on Volkswagen engines, only decent Volkswagen engine is the four pot Diesel, just about all Volkswagen petrol engines are bad for burning oil especially turbo engines, when I bought and sold cars that’s what I would find, Ford V8 and V6 engines are great and can do very high mileage if maintained correctly and I’m talking 300,000 miles plus, where you could have a Volkswagen Scirocco GT 11 wore out at 80,000 miles

    I believe the new Ranger Raptor is an improvement over the previous gen model, cos of the V6 engine added.
    To me, I’m not fussed about the less power we get in Europe compared to Australia, South Africa, etc. It still has impressive off road capabilities; that’s the most important thing in my opinion.

    What sucked about the previous gen Ranger Raptor was how much Ford gouged you guys in Australia and Europe. Here in Southeast Asia, althought it was still the most expensive midsize truck ever it was still fairly affordable as it only cost us £28,540 converted. You guys got it for nearly £50k; nearly twice as much. That's mad.
    If only it was priced fairly then people would have probably been less critical of it. For 28 grand, it was actually the best midsize truck ever made. Nothing in its class and price range could compete on or off road. But for 50 grand? It was just a glamorized Ranger.
    What's continuously a bit disappointing is how the 2023 model with the diesel engine is £6000 more expensive than the outgoing model, and it drops the Fox Live Valve for the old 2.5in shocks. So you'd rather add 2k and get the V6, obviously.
    The 2023 V6 Ranger Raptor will definitely be remembered in time as one of Ford's successes, but it's a damn shame that the previous model could have been that too. If only they offered it cheaper in Australia and the UK, when they could easily have and even managed to do in Southeast Asia.
