Overpopulation creates the zerg issues. Or one group getting everyone who is highly active. I've had plenty of solid siege experiences that weren't all zerg, and plenty of field and arch bosses that were legit fun battles.

My original guild died because it was too small to maintain interest after the initial wave of players left. However, 7 or 8 of us would do our 7 raid kills and it was still fairly easy. I joined another guild which was very active but bosses were downed in under 10s, same as field bosses. Open world events are 300 people running around trying to take mobs. My daily contracts, I pull out my wand, hit a mob once, and then try and tag the next one. I never bother to kill a mob that Ive tagged, I know somebody else will. Start capping raids and field bosses to max 20 people. Up the difficulty. Make the mechanics count. Make it so that a player can have 7 kills per week, not th eguild. Increase the damage and HP on dungeon mobs so that you can't just charge through them. If Im playing a game, I want there to be something that is difficult to aspire to.
Saving dew is probably not necessary - what the notes are saying is that today when you use dew, it applies 2 weapons (so say a 10k token gives you 10k x2), so any dew converted to the new items will be applied twice - so a 10k dew converts to a 10k token and then applies twice to still give you the same net 20k.

@ you dont have to with this one u just have to prioritise ur farming focus on somethings one day another another day to be fair the only thing you really need to focus on is runes + the normal dayly stuff everything else u can buy which is where this game differs from the normal mmo where most armour and wepons would drop bound to acount or char making it impossible to trade although for the first hour you could trade them amonst the people in the instance

I have 190 star crystals in my inventory and no way of using them or adding to my pass crystals. They are just ignoring my tickets now, so u can say I'm slightly pee'd with the game and developers

How impactful do u think the gale nerf for crossbow? Is it still gonna be viable or we’d have to switch to thunder? Especially when using the spin in large scale pvp
If you level up Serial Fire Bombs in the Staff tree, Fire is better. The Flame Arrow effect applies a stack of Weakness, which means it interacts with Selfless Diffusion's Weakness stacking effect. And if you level up Serial Fire Bombs the stacking fire damage increases to the point where, with good weapons, it will tick for over 1000 damage per second at 10 stacks. You will never get enough procs of Lightning Arrow to compete with that outside of Barrage, so unless you plan to be a one-button wonder I recommend using fire.
They should of just renamed the masteries from weapons to just "styles" instead. Since we basicly can use any of the combos regardless of what wep are using from my understanding. Obviously certain paths are more tailored to that weapons type but it will be interesting to see which tree is actually the best to take. Like bow staff may end up taking a sns or gs tree if the skills/nodes just seem better? Will need to get my hands on the system and truely dive in tho

The only things you may want to consider hoarding are: lucent, growthstones and crafting materials, unused dungeon contract tokens in bag, dungeon resistance contracts (can be shredded and converted to T2 dungeon contracts), contract tokens (new T2 weapon boxes will get added to the vendor). Aside from that work on trait failstacks to save on lucent in the future. Anyone telling you to spend the resources now to "try out other things" is giving an objectively terrible advice. If you want to try out other things, make a new character or account instead of wasting your limited resources on the main character.

the xp gained will be equal. Unless you were playing at max level 20 mastery for a while, then you didn't miss anything and will have the same points as someone who has different levels in multiple weapons, as long as the total xp is the same

Of course its easier to lvl up below lvl 10. But it should be equal to have e.g. 4 weapons on lvl 12 or 2 weapons on lvl 20 as long as the same xp is in there
There are two T2s. T2 we will get from the same dungeons we have now that might come this month, and T2 that will come with new area, lvl 55, new dungeons etc which won't be til April.
How much higher are they increasing the exp cap beyond 20? How will your current mastery be transferred and represented in the new system? Also no speculation on when this might drop?

Game has got to do a lot more work than this to get me to put much more time into the game. They spent more time trying to extract money out of us than making the game fun and they didn't realise that the more fun the game is the more people will play and the happier they will be to spend cash.
@ Part of the issue with T&L is that it has a really toxic community so I'm really not surprised to see a post like this. However, I'm pretty sure that I'm older than you and I've been playing MMOs since 1999. What I've come to realise in that time is that when players are leaving the game in droves "good riddance", "see-yah" and "don't let the door hit you on the way out" inevitably turns into people being really surprised when the developers start dedicating all their staff to new projects instead of investing in the game that people stopped playing.
@ 2 days is too small a period to be reviewing. It might just be a temporary blip. What is more telling is that it peaked at 336k and has been steadily falling since. It looks like its down to around 50k players on Steam now. That probably doesn't include the Korean version. The game is definitely in serious trouble.
More spells please, it'd be cool to see a skill tree for weapons that makes your spells a certain elemental theme, I want to see every class be able to compete whether it's large scale or small scale pvp, staffs should be able to blast spells off just as fast as crossbow/bow, gs or a heavy spear
Average player projecting, I'm referring to every weapon being able to compete, people shouldn't be pushed to a few choices to compete in pvp, I main gs/staff and always hear about how it's a bad combination, so if that's the case they can add more spells to make the synergy between these two work, I'm not just talking about what I play though, everyone should be able to compete with the weapons they like to play with outside of the combinations considered meta, I'm surprised they didn't add any spells that directly blast out from the staff itself, i know eso has an instant elemental blast which is something I was expecting from a staff but nope, either way hopefully they implement more for all weapons
I have mixed opinion on this. This could be a double edged sword. If it adds additional grind to the game, more people will lose interest and/or quit. If it is a good update, it's more of a quality of life update and offers little value to gain new players or get old players back from other new games. There was already a large number of players that quit after the first week of the game because they were overwhelmed by the leveling system. This mastery update only adds more complexity to it and scare away players that are used to more mainstream simpler RPG systems. Remember it's not the hardcore players that sustain a MMO, it's the less hardcore ones.
The contribution score for loot is still BS. Loot for damage is why we are all short on healers and tanks. The programming lead must be a DPS that got passed over for a paladin a million times in warcraft.

@@rianmilit f interactions with grapple and arenas is still bugged. This has been a bug since launch. It has something to do with targeting. It was not hotfixed.
I feel like melee needs a bit more care in pve specifically people don't want melee classes in there groups even if you're above 4000cp this also happened in Neverwinter I'm pretty sure it's very hard to be a melee class and get stuff done
In T1 and T2 dungeons, melee is OK. However, in any content like open world dungeons, events etc, the "first hit" mechanic massively punishes melee characters.
@@userbunny14 I can solo the open world dungeons also. However, 'first hitting' with a melee character, whilst hunters and running round tagging mobs with flashwave isn't as easy. That's the but that isn't fun.
Because everyone who isn't Bow, whines and complains. They don't understand that the point of our weapon is long range and if you die before you can get to us, that's tough. Meanwhile you have Greatsword/Daggers and Spear/Daggers who can close the gap and stunlock you to death but nobody is doing a damn thing about that. Infact they're getting even more broken.
Because they are a day ahead (timezones). We don't know if this will come for global or not this week yet. We will find out tonight. Tho they did say when they first introduced it it would come for both at same time.
I'm really looking forward to the new weapon specialization. I'm so glad that they care less about balance and more about customization and choice. The PvPers who complain about balance WILL NEVER STOP COMPLAINING, so just don't listen to them. It's nice to play an MMORPG that hasn't forgotten about the RPG part. I'm not sure why they are nerfing the Gale effect, though. It's meant for AoE farming, and with the need for 25 stacks most enemies will die before it triggers even once. It also counts as a "hit", so it spreads poison, thunderclouds, and other debuffs; fewer Gale attacks means it would be anywhere near as useful for stacking up such effects. This is a confusing change that will actually ruin my current Crossbow/Dagger build.
@@JordanKeoto What the hell does Gale have to do with PvP? It's not a PvP effect, IMO. It's a PvE AoE effect. Heck, this probably makes it better for PvP, because burst damage is king in PvP. Having it stack higher and hit harder likely makes it MORE effective for PvP.
I feel like I deserve a refund from this game, I haven't spent any money, but I want my time back. I'll come back later when this game is a little more than only 50% complete. I was ok with the weapons specs right now. FIX THE TARGETING AND CONTROLS. No one really cares what's in your game Amazon if it feels like shit. Fix this and we will stop leaving.
"Diversity" doesn't make anything good, it's like saying "more" or "less", "big" or "small", same thing with fluid, action, dynamic or whatever Buzzword.
In this case, it's the ability to actually choose what you want for your build. For example, say I don't want hit chance, but I still want the crit damage, then I could just take the crit damage and not waste points on the hit chance. The old system did not let you choose. You simply were railroaded into 3 paths, two of which you can max out anyway.
@Aragon- and if I'm understanding correctly you can take any of the the trees regardless if you are using that wep or not and it will still add applicable benefits to both your equiped weps? Cuz that will be neat to see some interesting builds that ppl may theory craft if you don't have to just stick to "your equipped" weapons masteries only like the old system was

I might be the only person that isn't excited for tier 2. I think this content is getting overly anticipated and people are playing a different game at this point. Only way that is happening is if you're spamming skills and not canceling atk when reflect is on and you kill yourself. Also, this is not much of a 1v1 game so unless you're being a rat on the island, which is what I do most of the time, you're with your guild or a group.
Again this patch is very beneficial to DPS and TANKS; not the healers. The devs just make the DPS players to make more dps and tanks to become more tanks; and again nothing to healers...

They can out sustain in a fight and dish out damage essentially winning a dragged out fight. It takes a half a party to take down a bow wand. If you have a different opinion, then I implore you to tell me how to beat healers. Because as a 4.3k gs bow staff, i cant do anything against them.

That mastery looks reallly complicated. I cant say Im really a fan of it, but I will wait to see it in person with translations.

Same here, got maxed (level 20) for both my weapons and never really bothered using other types since I'm too lazy and took a break from the game.

There are two T2s. T2 we will get from the same dungeons we have now that might come this month, and T2 that will come with new area, lvl 55, new dungeons etc which won't be til April.

Game has got to do a lot more work than this to get me to put much more time into the game. They spent more time trying to extract money out of us than making the game fun and they didn't realise that the more fun the game is the more people will play and the happier they will be to spend cash.

@ Part of the issue with T&L is that it has a really toxic community so I'm really not surprised to see a post like this.
However, I'm pretty sure that I'm older than you and I've been playing MMOs since 1999. What I've come to realise in that time is that when players are leaving the game in droves "good riddance", "see-yah" and "don't let the door hit you on the way out" inevitably turns into people being really surprised when the developers start dedicating all their staff to new projects instead of investing in the game that people stopped playing.
@ 2 days is too small a period to be reviewing. It might just be a temporary blip. What is more telling is that it peaked at 336k and has been steadily falling since. It looks like its down to around 50k players on Steam now. That probably doesn't include the Korean version. The game is definitely in serious trouble.

More spells please, it'd be cool to see a skill tree for weapons that makes your spells a certain elemental theme, I want to see every class be able to compete whether it's large scale or small scale pvp, staffs should be able to blast spells off just as fast as crossbow/bow, gs or a heavy spear

Average player projecting, I'm referring to every weapon being able to compete, people shouldn't be pushed to a few choices to compete in pvp, I main gs/staff and always hear about how it's a bad combination, so if that's the case they can add more spells to make the synergy between these two work, I'm not just talking about what I play though, everyone should be able to compete with the weapons they like to play with outside of the combinations considered meta, I'm surprised they didn't add any spells that directly blast out from the staff itself, i know eso has an instant elemental blast which is something I was expecting from a staff but nope, either way hopefully they implement more for all weapons

I have mixed opinion on this. This could be a double edged sword. If it adds additional grind to the game, more people will lose interest and/or quit. If it is a good update, it's more of a quality of life update and offers little value to gain new players or get old players back from other new games. There was already a large number of players that quit after the first week of the game because they were overwhelmed by the leveling system. This mastery update only adds more complexity to it and scare away players that are used to more mainstream simpler RPG systems. Remember it's not the hardcore players that sustain a MMO, it's the less hardcore ones.
The contribution score for loot is still BS. Loot for damage is why we are all short on healers and tanks. The programming lead must be a DPS that got passed over for a paladin a million times in warcraft.

I feel like melee needs a bit more care in pve specifically people don't want melee classes in there groups even if you're above 4000cp this also happened in Neverwinter I'm pretty sure it's very hard to be a melee class and get stuff done
In T1 and T2 dungeons, melee is OK. However, in any content like open world dungeons, events etc, the "first hit" mechanic massively punishes melee characters.

Why is bow getting nerfed even more?
Because everyone who isn't Bow, whines and complains. They don't understand that the point of our weapon is long range and if you die before you can get to us, that's tough. Meanwhile you have Greatsword/Daggers and Spear/Daggers who can close the gap and stunlock you to death but nobody is doing a damn thing about that. Infact they're getting even more broken.

I'm really looking forward to the new weapon specialization. I'm so glad that they care less about balance and more about customization and choice. The PvPers who complain about balance WILL NEVER STOP COMPLAINING, so just don't listen to them. It's nice to play an MMORPG that hasn't forgotten about the RPG part.
I'm not sure why they are nerfing the Gale effect, though. It's meant for AoE farming, and with the need for 25 stacks most enemies will die before it triggers even once. It also counts as a "hit", so it spreads poison, thunderclouds, and other debuffs; fewer Gale attacks means it would be anywhere near as useful for stacking up such effects.
This is a confusing change that will actually ruin my current Crossbow/Dagger build.
They are changing it for the exact reason you dont want, because of pvp. Just because you dont like it doesnt mean it shouldnt happen.
@@JordanKeoto What the hell does Gale have to do with PvP? It's not a PvP effect, IMO. It's a PvE AoE effect.
Heck, this probably makes it better for PvP, because burst damage is king in PvP. Having it stack higher and hit harder likely makes it MORE effective for PvP.

"Diversity" doesn't make anything good, it's like saying "more" or "less", "big" or "small", same thing with fluid, action, dynamic or whatever Buzzword.
In this case, it's the ability to actually choose what you want for your build. For example, say I don't want hit chance, but I still want the crit damage, then I could just take the crit damage and not waste points on the hit chance. The old system did not let you choose. You simply were railroaded into 3 paths, two of which you can max out anyway.
@Aragon- and if I'm understanding correctly you can take any of the the trees regardless if you are using that wep or not and it will still add applicable benefits to both your equiped weps?
Cuz that will be neat to see some interesting builds that ppl may theory craft if you don't have to just stick to "your equipped" weapons masteries only like the old system was

I might be the only person that isn't excited for tier 2. I think this content is getting overly anticipated and people are playing a different game at this point. I've only played the game a month so why would I spend an equal amount of time just waiting for "tier 2"? @ibrahimsarcaoglu2738 lol I play xbow/dagger. And I am on the island all the time. Just pick your battles, lol. And if you losing to a 2500 tank at 4100+ xbow/dagger, you doodoo. Only way that is happening is if you're spamming skills and not canceling atk when reflect is on and you kill yourself. Also, this is not much of a 1v1 game so unless you're being a rat on the island, which is what I do most of the time, you're with your guild or a group.
Again this patch is very beneficial to DPS and TANKS; not the healers. The devs just make the DPS players to make more dps and tanks to become more tanks; and again nothing to healers...

@@The-Dark-Tower idk bro healers are pretty insane. In pvp, the healers can tank as good as a tank, if not better, and can dps. They can out sustain in a fight and dish out damage essentially winning a dragged out fight. It takes a half a party to take down a bow wand.
If you have a different opinion, then I implore you to tell me how to beat healers. Because as a 4.3k gs bow staff, i cant do anything against them.
