Story 2: as a truck driver that has to deal with the numerous shortcomings of the Oregon DOT, from bad ramp design to their system of podunk two-lane "highways" connecting 3/4 of the state, that guy is a hero to me. I don't know what universities the traffic engineers in this state are coming from, but it's bad enough that I think any sort of civil or traffic engineering degrees from these places should be invalidated.
People say he's already covered some of the stories in this video, but can you blame him? He's been at this for a while, it's easy to lose track of stories he's already covered. Plus, it doesn't hurt to hear 'em again!
Right? I don’t mind I’ve watched every video so even I forget or I go “this sounds familiar, oh yeah I remember now.” Then I continue listening. Also there are a bunch of posts where they state not to share anywhere else, or some subreddits don’t want ppl taking any posts outside of the sub and posting it elsewhere in any format. There’s probably a ton of stories he could cover but can’t because he couldn’t get permission to cover it in a video.
And on top of that, some people might hear them on other channels and think they heard them here. I know that’s probably less common, but it’s definitely still possible. I’ve heard plenty of stories multiple times across different channels.
@Mikustan39 Absolutely, I only watch 2 Reddit channels (Vincey is the other one) and even with that few I see overlaps. I have 2 other people that watch the channels with me, and we have noticed a few double ups, but that's not a bad thing necessarily. I assume he has the stories saved as individual files, some probably just get mixed up in his system of which ones have been used.
There’s one story that he’s coved twice that I really like listening to. The one where a sister and step-brother get revenge on their terrible older sister. The first time he covered it, he also read out the edit. The second time he omitted it completely.
I never understood why people cheat when they are so dependent on the person that they're cheating on seriously.I mean at that point it's just like you deserve every single bit you know
It’s just plain ego and arrogance, a cheater thinks they’re oh so clever and that they’re hot shit and it basically boils down to having their cake and eating it too.
My mom's next door neighbor. Was engaged to a man who cheated on her. She owned the house they lived and she owned the car he drove. He worked for my dad's business only because he was our neighbor's fiance. So he lost his house, his job and his car. That was when I was a child and from what I heard he's still a loser not making anything of his life. I don't get it either.

*1st Story:* Imagine having you & your affair partner's infidelity exposed all because you left your email password lying around for the one person you didn't want to find.
OP was an evil genius by sending the wife of the affair partner, the evidence of his infidelity, especially since he worked for her father's company, bye-bye cushy job
Story 4: That is an extra level of Greed I have never seen before. At least a number of other landlords are willing to accept late payments, this guy just immediately jumps to throwing them out for even being a day late. I wonder what he was arrested for and if it had to do with all the money he was trying to nab from people
That on ramp story reminds me of an incident from 1988. I was in East Lansing Michigan and MSU would be going to the Rose Bowl. A California paper made a derogatory comment about teaching those Michigan farmers a lesson. So the DJ from a popular radio station in the city got the number of the newspaper and put it on the air, clogging up all of their phone lines. The DJ got a call apologizing for the comment and asking, quite politely, to please call off their dogs. It worked.
Good Lord! I don't think there's a jurisdiction anywhere in this country -- maybe in the WORLD -- that allows a landlord to evict with one week's notice and no court order! Even in the most landlord-friendly states, you *still* have to give the tenant 30 days notice to pay up or you'll sue them in court. Then you have to actually file the court case. Then you have to wait until the court hears your case. Then you have to give them time to move out after they've been legally evicted. And the Sheriff's department won't get involved until after the time-limit on the court order. It takes 60 to 90 days -- in the BEST CASE -- to get a tenant evicted, and in many states it can take YEARS! How do tenants not know this?!
You don't know how easy it is for evil landlords to ruin lives. The police literally don't care and as long as they get the fee paid for them to force people out, they will. It doesn't matter if it's a pregnant woman, elderly, disabled or whatever. You have to go to court (good luck if you don't have a car, money or a hard time getting around or it's a weekend or holiday and the courts not open) fill out a bunch of paperwork, make copies, pay to file, hope you get it in time, constantly check the website, get to court on time, get a lawyer if you can (the pro Bono ones are always busy) go through the stress of court, plead your case, hope it goes well and wait. Hopefully you don't have small kids who need watching. All while having to pack and try to find a place you can afford while trying not to have a heart attack. Also realizing how much stuff you have and have a nervous breakdown over what to keep and what to trash.
Yeah, that's often the case when people speak more than one language. They're a lot more eloquent when they have a chance to revise because they're carefully picking out what they want to say for clarity.
I'm a smalltime landlord and I will scream this to the heavens: know your rights as a renter! There are websites that have information that's state by state with the rights of tenants and landlords spelled out in easy to understand jargon. Also always read your lease! And make sure you send a forwarding address when you move out. 90% of the time we don't return a security deposit is because people never give us their new address. I think they're not expecting to get anything back, but in most cases any time something is kept the landlord has to give a reason, IE a list of everything the deposit is covering for damages. Anything left is to go back to the tenants.
I hope one day you bring this story to the channel. The title is: "Fooled my cheating STBXW into thinking I was cheating, then Thermo-Nuclear Shinobi Ghosted AND served her Christmas day."
Story "On Ramp": I hope those engineers were able to put in a pair of roundabouts; having traffic backup like that isn't just annoying, it's actually dangerous.
As a local government employee, that story about the traffic lights is f’d up. So often, people are confused about how the system works and what we’re capable of vs what’s out of our hands due to state and federal laws. To go after employees personally is messed up. If you’re willing to put an employee’s home phone out there for people who may be crazier than yourself, what else are you capable of? It’s a violation of personal boundaries. It’s frightening, and we are humans living in your community, usually working hard and doing our best to help people because we care about the communities we live and work in.
If they had jumped immediately to that decision, you might have a point. But this was not a case of Twitter "mild disagreement? Better blast their personal details everywhere" knee-jerk response. They tried the system's process. It did nothing. They tried again. Still nothing. After multiple attempts, they were given the phone numbers of people who were (ostensibly) in charge of handling this problem. Even after getting a discussion with one of these people, nothing happened. So, finally, OP shared the phone number in public, because this would skip the step of leaving several days of complaints with a department that had said and done nothing so far. The fact that it was their home numbers sounds incidental. On top of that, it sounds like the sign was a "How is my driving? Call # to leave feedback" situation. Given that they mention phone books, this was probably before everyone owned a pocket PC that could triangulate someone's position based on the species of hummingbird seen migrating in the background of a 200-megapixel photo taken yesterday.

They are the only landlords I've met that I would call evil. They would come to my door to talk without notice then try to look into the house & make up some excuse to try to come in. The husband did all the yard work, and walked around my entire house daily, while putting his face to the glass of every window, trying to look in. They gave me a written warning for "wasting water" and "causing a hazardous situation" because I put a kitty pool up for my children on my porch (they were supervised and the pool wasn't left unattended) they said my kids couldn't climb trees or go near the creek in our back yard. They would ask to take one of my children to the local park, supposedly because my child remained them of one of their grandchildren. But the real reason was to try to pry as much information out of kiddo as they could. The list is waaaay longer than that, I'm just giving an overview
My grandfather might be the best landlord in existence He accepts late payments, accepts sometimes being a month or two late, doesn't raise rent to exorbitant prices (and keeps it at mostly less than an equivalent place in the same road), doesn't tend to take money away from the deposit for restoration after the tenants leave (guess how I know the places have to be painted over everytime the tenants change (which has been like 4 times in my life)) If there is ever a landlord purge, he will probably be spared
Wait wait wait... This person owns property just outside NYC, but is just 5 minutes from downtown Manhattan? Nothing outside of NYC is just 5 minutes away from anywhere inside NYC. Hell, it'll take at least 20 minutes to get to downtown Manhattan WHILE YOU'RE IN DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN!
Things are pretty weird at my work place today and I'm struck sitting around doing nothing and getting paid for it. But I have important things to do and I'd rather just go home.
I've seen landlords like this one. Trying to f over people for being a few days late with rent. I tried pre paying rent years ago. Which I will NEVER do again. The co said they didn't have a record of receiving that prepayment. One time I talked with a guy who said he wanted first, last and security deposit. I told him to go f himself. And then one jerk wanted to charge me $700 a week back in 2005 for this crappy little space on a major highway. I said for $2,800 a month I can live downtown at the most exclusive apartments in Baltimore. lol. You really have to watch landlords....Some of them are decent people but there are an awful lot of them who just want to take advantage.

9:19 My old work had a few employees that said I was hard to work with and a know it all. I was a server. I didn't smoke so the ppl that did were always in the bar or lounge and not the restaurant so I used to watch their tables, take the orders, run the food, clear the tables, and get the money. Many customers asked if I was the only one on. I just made an excuse for them. In hindsight, I should have done nothing for them and when they complained get the manager. But I just had a hard time leaving them sitting there. I came in for night shift and started tidying my section. Straightening the salt and peppers, sugars, utensils, etc. The girl that had been in the section said she did all the table and was really bitchy. I told her the tables were great, I'm just anal and like to do a once over. Pls don't take offense. Then they told a new girl I was hard to work with. I'd never met her until that day. I believe in fairness. So 2 servers, half the booths to each etc. I was talking to a table and she told me to leave bc it was hers. All 5 so far. I had said that's not how the restaurant was split. She said, "They said you'd be a bitch to work with!" WOW! She said first on gets to pick so she wants that half bc it has all the booths but 1. I asked if she felt it was fair when she worked with the other girls and they did it to her, she said NO so that's why she gets all the tables. I said fine, you got it. I'd been working there for 4 years. I talked to a manager and went home. She got fired 2 days later. Turns out some were mad bc I made good tips. If they asked I told them. I don't see the point in lying. Although later when cocktailing I did lie to a friend bc she was very proud of how much she made and since we sold about the same amount I didn't want to tell her I made a bit more. I just said I made less and that was awesome how much she made. I quit 14 years later when I moved. Still miss it tbh! ❤❤

Thats not including the 11 days of music and other TH-cam channels i watch.. so. Idk. Ive rewatched nearly all available episodes once or twice this year..if this average is truely average, then by new years i can make it to 20 days of Rslash. Should I listen to less RSlash, or should I go for a new record next year? To be clear, im usually listening while im working out, traveling by metro or walking, or if im falling asleep in class. This isnt a "falling asleep at night while autoplay is on." Kind of thing. I just need to hear some more American English in my daily near fully mandarin/upper level mathematics life.

Story "Work Life Balance": OP, sounds like 'Fred' had autism, you probably were his only friend. Nobody wants there work nitpicked or to hear trash-talk about everything and everyone in there life. Sprinkle in arrogance and it's a recipe for disaster, he literally doesn't get that he's pissed someone off until it's too late.
If anyone is curious there's some more details for the first story in the comment section. OP reminds everyone that anything that happened to the affair partner was caused by his(affair partner's) now ex-wife & ex-FIL. OP then goes on to mention that his now ex-wife at one point went to couples counseling with OP who only agreed so he could chew her out for her actions, she'd leave those appointments in tears until she cancelled any other appointments as she accepted the relationship couldn't be fixed. OP mentions at one point he's remarried & is happily remarried now. While OP has every right to go no contact especially now that his kids are grown up I would have loved to know how his ex is doing. Going off how it sounds like her side piece behaved he likely blamed her for his misfortune thanks to OP finding out.(Affair partner is likely also busy with his personal life which is likely why he isn't around anymore) This ex-wife got her life ruined by her now ex-husband(OP) who she knows hates cheaters, she also had to deal with him calling her out during couples counseling & I dunno if she was still holding out after everything(given she tried couples' therapy but then again she eventually had to cancel the rest of the appointments) but she has to accept it's over at some point or when her kids become adults & OP stops talking to her.(Along with the fact he remarried at some point) She's lucky OP took the high road & reframed from trash talking her to the kids. I wonder what the ex-wife's parents think because they got used by her by having them babysit them while she went off to have affairs after work or even when she didn't have work. I haven't checked the post itself for if anything happened so I can only guess how OP's ex in-laws reacted.

First story: indifference is the opposite of love. Well done OP.
My grandfather might be the best landlord in existence
He accepts late payments, accepts sometimes being a month or two late, doesn't raise rent to exorbitant prices (and keeps it at mostly less than an equivalent place in the same road), doesn't tend to take money away from the deposit for restoration after the tenants leave (guess how I know the places have to be painted over everytime the tenants change (which has been like 4 times in my life))
If there is ever a landlord purge, he will probably be spared
Wait wait wait... This person owns property just outside NYC, but is just 5 minutes from downtown Manhattan? Nothing outside of NYC is just 5 minutes away from anywhere inside NYC. Hell, it'll take at least 20 minutes to get to downtown Manhattan WHILE YOU'RE IN DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN!
5 minutes? Not even by helicopter?
The lights story, as an Oregonian, i remember those metered things. They were a nightmare to sit and wait for them. I'm glad they're gone
Here we have two stories about two different landlords. One is absolute garbage and the other seems decent. Perfect balance as all things should be
Truck story is definitely a repeat
Story 1: I hope for Ben's Ex-FIL it was an at will state, becuase I doubt 'He cheated on my daughter' would hold up as a defense for wrongful termination.
14:37 except how do i standup to my older sister since she is my landlord… i’ve never been able to self-advocate for myself ever…
The law still applies to her, sister or not
Look at your tenant laws in your area.
yay rslash video on my b day
Happy Birthday! 🎉
@ thank you hollywally9331 for your entire existence
@@diegobtw7638 what did you do to celebrate?
story 4: I love this story is a double revenge, OP admitted they probably wouldn't have done anything if the landlord hadn't been such an ass to them in the past
Ahh this subreddit always brings me satisfaction 😌
I have to say, the wife's affair partner in the first story shot himself in the foot badly by biting the hands that fed him. Guess having so many hand-outs was not good enough for him. Hope he enjoys having nothing handed out to him for free.
Wouldn't trust or go back to that evil woman in story one
S2: That is exactly why french farmers dump manure at the footsteps of the french parliament.
Morning y'all!
Morning !!
Morning!!!
I'd rather not be awake but here I am
You and me both. Damn you work..
Same lmfao. Double shift today
Newborn waking up every couple hours to eat. Tired.
Hey cool we have a repeat post for the fourth one! I thinks it’s a really old video though
In the last story should could probably have gotten the bank to drop a little lower because, if they foreclose, they won't get markeyt value.
i dont know all the laws for tenants but i think i am aware of the most important ones, and i do know that if something feels shady i should consult with a lawyer even if it going to cost me money.
Yo the discord server used to be fantastic back in like 2020-2021.
Edit: the current discord link is expired btw.
So true, shame it went to shit
@ shit was crazy. Remember the purge of 2021?
@@dingus4260bro the purge was crazy. They straight up banned all the active people.
Another good repeat story 😁
That's why there's the saying. Cheaters never prosper
With home damage story all I can think of is the saying a woman scorned is not to be trifled with
Yep. Bring it home to em. Bring it home to the rest of the corrupt CEOs out there! 😉
Fourth story :
Haha my state doesn't have tenant rights.
TIL you can rent furniture.
Yeah we here in the PNW do not mess with light times, tree laws or property lines. Go ahead and see what happens.
RSlash Community and RSlash, Should I watch Less Rslash?
According to my TH-cam premium recap today..ive watched Rslash a total of 19 days so far this year. Or 457 hours.
Omg I had 315 hours AND I thought that was a lot.
Hey it's Ben, last name Dover... and it took 15 years but he did.
Theres a Fred in IT in every workplace 😊
2nd Story: doxing before doxing was a thing. 🤣
Been watching your videos for YEARS. I love starting my morning with you!
Story 1 lesson. Be careful whose spouse you screw because if they find out they may screw you. Not in the same way either.
Good vid, can you link to the galaxy background, its beautiful

If that landlord is charging a month in advance then even if they’re a day late, they still have the month they have paid for so it’s not legal even if the law didn’t say 30 days
Hope the ex wife’s college BFF that was her confidant got some karma as well.
The last story reminds me of my ex
He has a disability and used to tell me because i wasnt disabled nothing he did to me was assault because he was disabled and i believed him
Your mum sounds the same
Give her a reality check
A redit post and showing her the comments is a good start.
Therapy might be needed
I hope that everyone is having a good Thursday!
The landlord story is a repeat from a long time ago. That's how I know I've seen way too many of these episodes.
I just got to my 12 hour shift time to binge watch this channel!
Oh, to have the kind of FU money in story 5 that you can get that level of revenge!
Am I crazy or the eviction story was published like years and years ago? 😮
Btw ODOT is more commonly pronounced as Oh-Dot. Similar things can be said for other states. It's the state abbreviation followed by the literal word 'dot'. No flame just trying to be informative :). It just sounded really weird as someone who is in the industry.
rSlash, please, I need your help. Your voice is louder than mine. Surely you'll reach everyone. My dog, my precious family member, is experiencing bowl blockage & needs care. But my family can't afford it since it was so sudden, and we're still recovering from a financial hit. So I started a gofundme. Please, rSlash, I'm begging you. Get the word out. You don't have to donate, just please get the word out. I don't want to lose my girl. Its titled Save Ruby.
Can you link the gofundme in your bio? I'm broke, but I want to help share.
I would be happy to share a link. I hope you can get it figured out.
Story 1: AOL? This is old!
Always enjoy a jaunt down revenge lane
Trying to get ODOT to do anything productive us harder than pulling teeth.
I think you already did the land lord story
I'm pretty sure I've heard this evil landord story a while ago on your channel, @rSlash...
Story 2: I love it.
I think I've heard rslash read story 4 before
“Her and her husband,”lolz
The thumbnail is the same as one three months ago I don't mind but its funny cause I thought I was on the qrong video 😅
You've read the landlord story before a couple years back, can't remember the video tho
Thanks for the vid rslash!
forgot one, lost his straight nose
that' global issue might be Fred's doing
The landlord one is one he read 5 years ago lol
The on ramp story, does this count as doxing?
Story 4 you've already read this story in a previous video
I think you have told the landlord-story once before...
