hey Dave, one little "error" i would rather place DNA mutation one step earlier. as all the other true mechanisms depend on changes in DNA to happen, theres nothing to drift/select/flow, etc if there is no genetic variation.

If you see only half the moon light, that is what is called first or last quarter, then the sun is pretty much at 90 degrees to your direction of view of the moon in the direction of the lit curved limb.
