I just happened to your video. I hit a raccon last April, and in that time the crack I had has turned into quite a mess. With this video I now know how to remove and redo the bumper, add the skirt, change the horns to Air horns, replace the dinky LED fog lights and update my LED driving lights. I'm glad you didnt do any work on your Audi, as I would have missed this video. AND I sub'ed to you
I have the same lip on my 2015 GT. I actually prefer the overall look of it to the OEM Mazda piece that came with the appearance package. I do wish I had taken the time and fastened mine with bolts and nuts the way you did here. I knew there was no way those tiny screws it came with were going to hold it on for very long. I just used some oversized wood screws, but it has stayed on so far - and I just got done with a 1600 mile round trip going 75-80 mph most of the way, so I guess it'll stay on. I also screwed the pieces of the lip together where they overlapped, but that probably wasn't necessary.
Dude no way, I received that same front lip 2 days ago and installing it tonight... you just recently did a video on the exact same one.. wow thanks because I’m new in the car world ahaha.... AND also if you don’t mind, can you right me the exact bolt and washer number in the comment section... cause I wasn’t able to tell and what to look like on the packaging of the bolts... I’m French from Canada so didn’t understand they size when you told it... thanks man ahah, loved the video
Same for 2017 GT just finished painting it going to installing it tomorrow. Almost a pro ant getting the bumper taken off now but. Was you going to use the prepackaged self tappers but I’ll probably use those first for pilot holes and to hold it in place and then drill and go with the bolts with fender washers, lock washers and stopnuts.
not bad. do you really need to take out the front bumper to install it? can you just jack the car up? and go under it. I'm trying get the same splitter for my car
AmazingRedd you could always just tap screw it on like lots of guys do but for durability reasons, I bolted it on, which was much easier to do by taking the bumper off, just preferance
Don’t know if you are still active on this account since your last upload was four years ago, but what du you mean with screwing it in from the bottom won’t last as long ? Will it just come loose and fly away when you’re on the highway ? And will it leave permanent marks ?
Sorry for the delay, but yes ncboidre1593 is correct. I bolt all of my splitters so they don’t fall out over time. I have seen other splitters fall off easy with just the screws
@@alphaautomotive2147 And yes I imagine, it demeans the car. My old blades were tearing off at high speed (200km / h). Have you ever had problems riding at high speed?
@@alexromant4154 never when highway driving and whatnot, if you are purchasing for actual downforce you may want to look into splitters that mount to the frame
THERE IS A CLIP to push in for the left and right fender retainers !!!! That’s why people break the fender tab ( the biggest one ) 🤦♀️ ALSO … hope you don’t need a tow or flatbed because that lip is coming off 😂

Any bolts should work, just make sure you drill the holes the same size as the bolts and you should be set👍

your screwing it into ur bumper and if you don’t use a nut it would prolly just fall off

It only took an hour or so, you could just screw it in from the bottom, but I won’t last you as long
