Yes I'm in Sturgis. However I've seen pics of g.brunnea in Ottawa county . Keep looking and thank you! I expect to get some guff from this one and the next couple I'm editing now on Verpa .

Some call this a beefsteak but in your area of the state they are usually referring to Gyromitra carolinia. Both edible once fully cooked
