    Love that you straight up said: This is how I do it and there are other ways you can. So many of these videos are so definite that their way is the right and only way to do something. Thanks for sharing this.

    Just want to start by saying, this is the best video i seen of a work bench. have to agree with Rachel about the no music and no describing step by step with work, love the caption that you put every so often. Love the bench , am going to build this bench and just need to modify to hold a miter for me. Thank you for the video. Much respect.

      The only adjustment I would say is to never ever wear gloves while using saws. The blade can snag the glove and yank your hand into it before you could blink.

    I like the way you made the workbench. It's made simple but very effective and that's what it's all about. No gluing or any bullshit of making it a nice visual table with a nice finish but effective for the job and it's purpose. Thanks.

    Great job. Those DW table saws have a really nice & dependable rack & pignon system to adjust the fence but it gets in the way when you have the table saw enclosed.
    For that reason, when I built my workbench/outfeed, I opted to have the whole saw hanging out to one end.

    great video! It gave me lots of good ideas! You could cut those two little plastic tabs off of that plug by the switch for the vacuum.They aren't needed since you won't be rewinding the cord and it will make it easier to get to that switch. You could snip them off or grind them off.

    really enjoyed ur workbench build. I also enjoyed seeing all those DEWALT TOOLS too.. haha! I'm not an owner of any yet. My workshop is fully of budget tools but they get the job done for me.
    I'm working out of a 16x10' garage. It's basically one car space as long as the car is small. haha!
    U built a fine workbench here girl. RESPECT TO YA FOR A GREAT JOB. I like that Pencil Sharpener too btw. I can never sharpen right. The nibs keep breaking on me. I bought some of those refill pencils but they're too weak and keep breaking. I got a nice DrillPro INCRA style marking ruler with Pencil and it's cool but the bloody nibs keep breaking on these pencils too.
    I'm going to get me one of those Sharpeners u have there.. LOL
    Keep up the fine work girl. I just found ur channel this morning. I'm addicted to watching woodworking and metal working videos these days..

      @AndiWofford  ปีที่แล้ว

      My nails change color during the build because it took more than a day for me to put it all together. In fact it took several days. And yeah, I do have some other tool brands. But I already have all the batteries I need for DeWalt so it's just easier for me to stick with that brand. Tool manufacturers know how to create brand loyalty 😅

    Very Nice! I am contemplating a new workbench/assembly table. I too am a DeWalt Junkie! ... You have some very neat ideas! One note that I will point out... using a miter gauge and the rip fence (@ 29:44) at the same time is a risky maneuver! I would suggest clamp a "stand-off' on the fence well in front of the blade at the desired length of your crosscut this way when the wood is at the blade, there no issues binding between the blade and rip fence. a crosscut sled would be even better! Again, Nice work!

    • @AndiWofford
      @AndiWofford  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not even sure I needed the miter gauge at that point anyway 🤦🏼‍♀️. But I didn't know that until someone else made a comment about that very same thing. Now I know better, so thank you for sharing! I'm glad you're part of the DeWalt family as well, and you should definitely build it! I had a ton of fun building my workbench and it's really neat to be able to customize it the way you like.

    Hi there, I've been enjoying your video so far. You are doing it super, I like your tools, well truth to be told, I love them all. Keep on with this, so far, I'm enjoying your woodwork. Just one little tiny suggestion... 30:33 there's no need to get new chisels, if you are patient enough (which I can tell you are), what you need is to clean them all, and sharpening with some wet stones, and maybe if you have fun, build some new chisel wood handles. Thank you for sharing with us your skills and techniques.

    • @AndiWofford
      @AndiWofford  ปีที่แล้ว

      I like that idea of dropping the fir strip and inlay the top. But you know what I miss? Edges for clamping. I can still do it, but if I had to do it all over again I'd probably wrap with something to give me a few more inches of overlay on the sides of the plywood on top to give me easy, short, clamping for the work surface. Other than that, still happy with it!

    Where has that Klein stapler been all my life! Good call. And just for good measure, maybe do those dado's in 2 passes for depth; that's a little hard on that jobsite saw. Just a tip from a pro, if you want to get good service life out of that saw. Great build, super functional.

      @AndiWofford  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've got a couple different cable staplers, love them all but the Klein is the best! Thanks for the advice on the dado; I know that's not the best saw for anything close to full time use. Hopefully if I take care of it, I'll get a long life out of it!

      @@AndiWofford to the right of the table saw, where the fence extends. I already have a setup with plywood attached to my router that slides into the slots in the fence racks. Once built, the workbench will be flush with the table saw to the right like with yours, and the table saw fence will be usable for the router as well. Lots of good ideas.
    My concern would be accidentally knocking [expensive] drills onto the unforgiving concrete floor with my legs...perhaps resulting with battery damage.
    I would inset the shelf and fit another lipped shelf underneath with foam padding to cushion any tool falling.
