As a very proud owner of a 2020 V60 R-Design, I fully agree with everything you stated. We bought our car because we wanted to travel in our retirement and we needed a car with some carrying capability. We don't like SUV's so the Volvo "Estate" was the perfect fit for us. That car is so amazing and it does every single thing superbly. We love that car......
@@derekmao1088 We got an amazing deal on it - less $35K. The following week, the price on similar Volvo wagons jumped like $8k. We were very, very lucky when we bought it.
Matt. ''Top notch'' review! As always. And yes the V60 has to be one of the best designed 'estate' cars currently on the market. V60 and BMW 3 Touring share the accolade. Yes, as you say in black in R Design is impressive. It just works! In every sense. To be slightly 'off script', surely a V60 makes far more sense for so many people [families] than many of today's so-called SUV's? Provides everything needed and so much more. As you say the Technology is unrivalled. Correct me if wrong Volvo vehicles now 'limited' to max speed of 120 mph? Makes sense. As does Volvo. Too many 'Matt-isms' to mention! Your editing and presentation 'spot on'! Coooolest'...going up a few octaves! Natural as ever, so refreshingly honest. As always, Thank You. Stay safe. And yes your video 'just works'!
Took delivery of black B3 momentum last week and agree with everything. Looks amazing, very comfy, well spec'd in basic config but added blacked out windows, android auto and climate pack for heated steering wheel and windscreen. Very smooth to drive 👍
definitely, it is the best design and not only this. I have bought the v90 R design last month and I enjoy every single ride, species and very comfortable.
Superb car. B3 engine is great. Better than the previous T3 and more powerful T4 models. The fact it has 3 different driving modes (Eco Comfort and Dynamic ) that change the overall feel of the drive is a great bonus
Just changed from a Jaguar F Type convertible to the T4 R Design. Only a few weeks in but really like it. Not much of a comparison with the F Type but needed something more practical. Always liked estates over SUV’s from a driving and aesthetic look. Partner has an SUV so know how they compare. My first Volvo and pleased with it so far. Great review, thanks.
I have a 2019 V60 which is up for renewal. Im being offered an XC60 for pretty much tje same cost. V60 is a fantastic car amd one of the best looking estates.
My Car is a Volvo V40 D3 tuned by Heico Sportive! The new V60 is optical a dream in black! I had this Volvo as a rent car from Volvo as T8! My next Car is a V60! Thank you for this Video!
Have one since November 2020. excellent car,I’ve had BMW Mercedes’ and Audi in the past. Build quality fantastic. Only complaint would be the lack of android auto and apple car play.
Been driving the new V60 R-design recharge (or long range?) for 2 weeks now. This car has been an absolute beast in the recent days with snow storms in Finland - very stable steering and this thing won't get stuck in snow even in hard conditions. Very steady, nice and easy to drive, consumption is bit higher than I expected/promised even with electric motor to ease the load. The user interface of settings and navigation is bit confusing and slightly harder to use compared to some more advanced systems e.g. Tesla Model S. Altogether feels like a great car and I'm very happy with it.

we own our volvo v60 d3 2021 new since 1 year it has 26 00km no problem it does not spoil a drop of oil GENRE REALLY we have all the time the oil indicator to the max (even if the ad blue this spoil quite quickly) it is a really great car I advise you. we had a ,mercedes cla 180d for 45 000euro it had only 116hp, very little equipment for the price the volvo cost us 38 000euro new without negotiation and it is much better equipped, much bigger and more comfortable engine that we are sure that even after 800 000 km it will still work it's an underestimated brand really imagine to be able to drive over 3000rpm on a diesel - 1C outside cold engine without spoil a drop of oil and nothing damage franchment I see no other brand capable the 150hp pushes it looks like a rocket and contrary to what many could think you can drive sporty in a volvo while in absolute comfort
I really hope you read my comment and give it your opinion. I am a die hard Volvo enthusiast. I have owned 8 of them and you guessed it, I fell in love with the i5 engine configuration. Being it D5 2,4L twin turbo engine in the XC60, the i5 white block in the S60 or the famous RN white block in the P2R... I just can't imagine owning a Volvo with out an i5 engine. So, let's come back to your V60. It is designed so well, I could literally have sex with it! Drop dead gorges but man, that tinny 4 cylinder engine is just it's biggest nemesis. If there would be an i5 option that would be the Volvo I would buy. But ditching out the i5 for this 4 cylinder funny engine - well I'm not spending my money on that. I am literally purchasing a brand new crate engine to keep my 10 year old Volvo in a fresh condition instead of going with a Volvo that sounds like it's owned by Chinese every time I sit in it. So from my perspective, the new lineups are a failure.
The newer models don’t have the tail pipes, the MY23 model. I like the tail pipes a lot it is more aggressive. We have ordered the MY23 T6 PHEV bright more the luxurious version of the V60
Agree with everything apart from the infotainment. Fiddly to use, especially when driving and satnav search not great. But it’s super to drive, comfortable, safe and great design.
Since you are so amazed with the built quality of Volvo…I’ll suggest you to review a 3-4 years old Volvo cars. I guess you maybe want to play so loud the B&W audio system to let you get out from all the creepy plastic noise! From a owner of 2017 XC90
Two things bother me. 1. The huge headlights in the back that make the car look a little old despite its beautiful shape. If there were headlights like the front narrow and wide it would be amazing! Another thing is the interior, which has nothing to do with the exterior, not in the lines, not in the steering wheel, not even in the colors, absolutely nothing. If they brought this shape of the station wagon to BMW, they would return the station wagon to the best-selling vehicle there is.
I really love the look of the volvo V range inside and out......... Except for the centre screen, imo that part of the dash is so plain and boring, yes I'm partial to a screen but prefer physical buttons, and the lack of an all petrol option secures the final nail in its coffin on my new car list.
The front section is beautiful. But as always volvos rear part of the wagon is terrible. They need to stop putting the red brake lights all the way up boot. Other than that they are slowly getting there. Bet its a dream to drive. And by the way stop asking people to like comment and subscribe. So desperate!
I Just Hate How These Companies Follow Only Money When it Comes To The Availability of these Cars in the world.. I Love Estate Cars To Much But In South Africa We almost get None Outside the Audi RS4 and 6 Avants...No CLA Shooting Brake and Worse not Even This Volvo V60🥺 I wanna work hard and import knew From Britain
Only the same 2l 4 cylinder engine like every other brand and a 180 kmh limitation. Volvo isn't Volvo anymore imo. They decide what they think its best for the customer instead of the customer itself. I would engine swap this and remove all limiters. Its just too expensive for a simple 4 cylinder car.
Quality? Kidding me? Volvo is at the bottom of the quality list here in Sweden now. Good looking cars, Oh yes. I really do like the design. But it’s a Chinese brand now and I’m not proud of Volvo anymore. /Swede
I told you, even before watch, ONE reason to dsconsider or NO LOVE for that shitty transmission layout: PERMANENT FWD haldex. Such an aberration of transmission layout as FWD with a rear diff added. A rear diff coupled with multiclutch "central diff" which is unable to hold more than 100 and some few newtonmeters of torque. That means NOTHING for rear axle, especially as that rear get torque ONLY for few seconds in a MONTH 😂 Volvo really DESTROYED their lineup of cars when pressed by globalist uberstupid trend.. they switch to FWD layout.
