    Very good non-technical explanation. One that a non-engineer can understand!

    Thanks for the info. Just trying to grasp an understanding of my recent interest in fountain pens and regaining my cursive from grammar school. I enjoyed your teaching, thanks. God bless.

    Thank you! This was very informative. I still don't understand why my pen stops working mid sentence after writing several paragraphs, but I know how it's supposed to work now.

    Wow, what a great find, your content is quite amazing and of great quality! I'm shocked that you have less that 1000 subscribers. I look forward to more videos, I wish that I've found this channel sooner.

    Best example of how a fountain pen works I've seen yet.. Can you do a video on traveling (By air) with a fountain pen? I understand it's possible to do so if you keep the nib up and fill the reservoir to near capacity.

    thank you for your explanation! There's a hole also in the downer side of the feeder, what is it for?

    This was really helpful! And I have a question- can you explain how the air is allowed to go back into the cartridge or converter? I didn't quite understand that part.

    • @Schon_DSGN
      @Schon_DSGN  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      air and ink are exchanged by the feed. its the primary function of the feed to regulate that interchange. it lets the air in when the ink comes out, kind of like a bottle that goes glug glug when you flip it upside down.

    I am wondering how the original fountain pens (Quills) worked. No way they knew to how to make the slit taper down to a point. Thin knife cut? They worked well enough to start a country.

    A fountain pen works through controlled leakage.
    Next question?
    "What is the leading cause of divorce?" That's an easy one: Marriage.
    Correction: The tipping material is there to prevent wear of the tines, not to determine the width of the line. Look at a stub nib. No tipping material. The line width depends on the angle and motion. Stubs have a wider line (depending on angles and direction of motion) than any tipped nib. Again, depending on angel and direction, the same stub nib has a narrower line than any tipped nib.

    Less terrible than most. Why don't the producers find a presenter that presents himself as someone who actually knows anything, rather than a brainless kid??
