Don’t forget that Itachi literally physically and mentally abused Sasuke when he was 7 and again when he was 13. He put Sasuke on this path and expected Sasuke to just be fine after everything.

Then Itachi's mangekyou sharingan eyes was transplanted into Sasuke, making him the second person ever to get the Eternal mangekyou sharingan. The first was Madara.

You gain mangekyou sharingan through intense pain, you gain an enternal mangekyou sharingan by taking another uchiha’s eyes. The regular mangekyou sharingan if over used you can go blind as shown in sasuke’s fight with danzo, having an eternal one means you cant go blind if you overuse it
Side note: To get Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, both parties must be closely related (ie. Siblings, Parents etc) and must both already possess regular Mangekyou Sharingan

I don't think that Itachi planned for the reanimation counter...that was just a lucky break that the kotoamatsukami happened to be able to break him out of its control. The order that was implanted into the sharingan was to protect the leaf village, so I would imagine that encompassed a wide array of possible outcomes. For this scenario, Itachi being reanimated and under control by Kabuto was probably the trigger that let the kotoamatsukami know that it threatened the Leaf Village and so the order basically negated Kabuto's control and Itachi is free (but still bound to the reanimation).
Naruto and Bee really were the only one who stood a chance against Nagato and Itachi. If Nagato would have been reived with his legs still intact that would have been catastrophic. Also Itachi is so freaking amazing. He even had such a contingency plan for Naruto and Sasuke even when he was dead. Also while beign free from the Control of Kabuto he is still an Reanimation but now he has unlimited Chakra and cant be harmed unless its a sealing jutsu. It also baffels me that after all these times and what people know of itachi that people still underestimate him. :D The almithy push can push the burning parts of Nagatos body away from him and becuase he is an Reanimation his body can restore itself after that. Its just like the Raikage cutting of his burning arm but in that case the arm couldnt regnerate of course ;).

Since, they are reanimated the portion of the skin on which the Amaterasu is burning will be flaking of the body while coz of the reanimation the body would keep regenerating. Now, Nagato just used his Almighty push to push all those burnt skin away from him along with the Amaterasu flames. And as soon the flames completely burn those skin flakes it'll extinguish as that's what happens. Amaterasu can only stops after it destroys the thing it's cast on. But if you can shave of that part which is affected by Amaterasu then you can counter it without taking damage from it.
