    I like your video. We think alike! I tried using rigs without swivel and snap. I lost more sinkers and had more line twist. Swivels and snaps are only 2 cents ea or less when bought directly from China (Aliexpress or Temu), so why skip them? Besides, I reuse whatever doesn't get lost while fishing, so cost is even less. Many times all I need is new line and a quick resharpen of the hooks, to retie a rig. Seems I am forever reusing snaps and swivels. I keep a resealable waste bag when surf fishing. I toss all the used rigs in there and break em down once home. I am only throwing away the line many times and I am not littering the beach. Again, really good video, and what I like about you is that you aren't selling like the other fishing youtubers! Tight lines!!

    There is more to fishing than just fishing. Making your own rigs and lures is a rewarding part of it. It is really satisfying to catch a fish on a rig or lure you made. It's also rewarding to be able to share the rigs with your fishing buddies. Your channel is especially good for a novice fisherman like me. Thanks for sharing your expertise.

      99.9% of these channels and pages are a gimmick or some type of pyramid scheme to get in your wallet and make you a repeat customer promising you exclusive knowledge for a subscription service. People been fishing for centuries for free. If you really wanna learn some cool stuff go fish with the local old timers. They aren’t doin any of the stuff these “influencers” are recommending you buy. If someone is recommending you a product 9/10 they are selling it or getting a kickback. Grown men doing the same thing as essential oils, pampered chef, Avon etc thinking they are influencers making a few dollars as prostaff and convincing you that promoting them for 10% on a $5 sale is cool when you can easily just make it in your own for a few cents with stuff from Walmart and keep your dignity.

    Interesting. I like the idea of tying the rig directly to my main line. An advantage of doing it that way is that you don’t suck a swivel into your top guide and knock the inner ring out. Not that I’ve ever done that. 😳. I’m going to play with the float rig idea. I like what you did with the larger float drilling the hole halfway through and pushing the hook into it. I think that’s a great way to do it. Thanks for all the information and thank you for all you do.

    Quick question…when using the drill bit to add the float to the L197 hook, I assume you push the eye of the hook up through the float? Do you use super glue to hold or just spin on the hook? Thanks for the info!

    • @SlotCityFishing
      @SlotCityFishing  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I wouldn’t worry about securing it. When you put bait on it it’s gonna go up to where it needs to be. Also I think the difference would be very marginal anyway.

      Pretty sure the same thing that’s been happening to me. People don’t like when you share the truth. Other fisherman can after him for exposing some great “secrets” I think he just got tired of it and took all his stuff down. Anyone who is making money from fishing if you expose them they come after you. That’s why I haven’t been making as much content. It took a lot of the fun out of it.
