I personally love them. As a beggining artist (Not even out of middle school) and wanting to paint, these are a great option. Another cheap(ish) alternative are Artxx acrylic markers. Poscas are great tho

@@vivekgaur8300I have them, and I'd say maybe something on the thicker or smoother side. Make sure you have a bit of extra paint on them so they tend to tear up your paper less. Make sure you clean them too!

If they're tearing the paper, you're using the wrong kind. Watercolor or wet media paper is the only kind that you should be using.

I just got posca markers today and tbh they are really good + if you dont want your paper to rip then use thick papers and watercolour paper but i personally like these markers alot

In the uk i found some posca markers for 8 pound for 8 markers

I wish I wasn't so expensive it was if it was all free I would get every posca marker
the only problem with the 8 pack is that there is not orange or purple and if you are trying to draw a character with purple/orange you have to use a different marker or other coloring things
I found some for like $15 at my local Walmart
It’s the paper u use tbh, I used cannon mixed media and even if I press hard it doesn’t tear
For me I used Canson paper and I only have an 8 set of posca markers and I got it from Walmart but the one at Joanns is really expensive and yea😅
Only marker i know that can over lap a layer & not show the first layer it leaves a solid layer

Well one ur comparing a alcohol market with a paint pen. And you need Smoot smooth paper like bristol smooth
They sell brush tip poscas if the bullet tips a problem
The only reason they are "rough" is because they aren't being used on the right paper. I use the 30 sheets A4 200GSM Rayman sketchpad. Also they are VERY wothit and even have the GOLD colour, it even sparkles!

Mines were 4 for an eight pack
I am having trouble with using light colors like yellow over darker colors like black. (the black when dry darkens the tip of my lighter color pen and so it draws darker than what it is supposed to)
Also is smooth paper best because I think the textured paper I have is bacicly tearing tiny strands off of the pens tips?

I would use dark color like black last. You can cover dark colors with lighter if you paint over them multiple times. Sometime you need to paint over dark close 4-5 times.
Smooth paper is a good option. I actually have a new sketchbook coming out very soon that’s perfect for Posca markers 👌🏾
@@AndersonBluuThanks! I will try doing darker colors last and see if that works but It’s just the dry black bleeds into the light colored pens tips and causes the light colored pens to paint dark.

I’m buying the off-brand and are basically cheaper posca and work pretty well.
Try the brush tip version they are much nicer on the paper and instead of pushing down there is a button on the top so it doesn’t ruin the tip

People use posca markers cause the brand but its a ripoff 18 dollars for 8 pack markers i bought 24 markers exact same like posca marker different brand for 11 dollars
