Although, I believe that Dan Hartman played all the instruments when he recorded the song. I've just discovered Dan Hartman's music and career (and Johnny & Edgar Winter and Rick Derringer and Todd Rundgren) - the guy was incredibly talented and really needs to have a book or documentary written about him, so that he's not completely forgotten by the public.

I agree, there should be an industry bio about him. That entire group (Winter, Hartman, Derringer, Rundgren, et al) was insanely talented -Edgar Winter didn't surround himself with dilettantes.

In my opinion, between Winter Brothers, Johnny and Edgar, I think Edgar was the MORE TALENTED Musician. Edgar could play almost every instrument and deeply loved all forms of music. I read Johnny's autobiography, and he was resistant to learning anything other than the Blues (and some Rock & Roll). Johnny wanted to be seen as a 'Bluesman' and nothing else - that and his addiction problems short-circuited a potential 'Superstar Career'.

I had this whole album in my car's CD case before it was was stolen out of my unlocked car...almost 1 decade ago. Now, I think it would be unbelievably great to get the same album on vinyl!
