At the end of my daily news posting I let this song be our moment of serenity, adding this devotional thought: A beautiful song today, "How Can I Keep From Singing", with words I hope you will cling to. The chorus declares, "No storm can shake my inward calm", something I can attest to after over 30 years as a sailing missionary, surving hurricanes, water spouts, even threats by angry demoniac-like men. But most notable was that devine 'calm', after our first boat broke up during a collision with rocks in tropical storm conditions. As we held to our wreckage, enduring the crashing waves, my wife bravely led our three children in songs of worship as we awaited eventual rescue. We are promised peace ("And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." - Phillipians 4:7) but somehow we forget that inward peace is far better, more necessary, than any calm or lull that comes on occasion in life!
Restless, can't sleep, thinking about the bush fires, very hot in our place and than we have the global corona virus outbreak. I grab my phone and listen to Dr Charles Stanley than I saw your music come up on my recommendation. So many thoughts and uncertainty. Now I feel reassured. Living day by day looking upon Jesus and leave all the consequences to Him. Your Blessed families voice and channel Thank you for the uploads. Our Jesus is coming real soon. We need more singing in times of storms. Prayers for our Christian Brothers and Sisters world wide and the innocent children who have yet to know Jesus in China and elsewhere. May their idol worship and forbidden foods wake some of them up to know that Jesus is the answer and True God in the midst of disaster even at the brink of death.

But I’ve learned what helps me is take take what is causing anxiety- even if I don’t know what it is to bring that, and surrender them fully to the one whose thoughts are greater than mine, the one who knows the beginning to the end and knows every detail, and CAST my cares on Him, and keep going and praying that way until the anxiety is gone. We have the power through Jesus to command our soul to peace! Rebuke the lies of the devil and proclaim the promises of God found in scripture. Prayers dear one💕
I recommend a book called calm my anxious heart by Linda Dillow. There is a version with a bible study along with it. It is a wonderful book, very biblically based. God bless you! I've struggled with depression and anxiety my whole life. It is oh so hard. Don't forget to look at you physical health as well, as the Lord created us in bodies that do have an effect on our moods and our minds. When something is off it can be very difficult!
