Quite a lot of work went into this performance. Not only did she need to learn the music she had to program the organ to match the soundtrack of the movie. Quite an accomplishment...I tip my hat to you Lori ! Keep playing and performing. You're one hell of an organist !!
Never seen this before... and I HATE people who put someones playing ability down... shes got it!!!! How many of you have ever played one of these things in front of a crowd?? Shes awsum... Im an old MX1 guy, and while that machine was the best.. it was tough to get it to do its maximum.. I give her so much credit... gosh,.. I wish I was stuck with a girl with brains, talent and beauty all in one... Nice job there Lori.. whoever you are!!
Thanks Lori..it really inspires me. You are a gifted world wide performer. You've won many awards. I love this arrangement. You're the best. Not only that your a wonderful lady.
Lori; that was fabulistico. You handled the Lowrey wonderfully. I spent 15years with the Royal Marine School of Music as concert pianist and church organist. Unfortunately, apart from the amazing sound of the Hammond organs, there were nothing to compete with these modern Lowreys. Mine is a Lowrey Sensation. The most difficult thing is to set up the stops to change setup quickly between phrases. Keep it up Lori. Big thankyou again. Robert.
This organ is amazing. She is the new generation of organist. These organs are loaded and oh so entertaining...Arranging songs is the greatest task...how simple or complex you want it to be. When I watch this I get so excited...love it..
Oh how I wish I could commit scores of music to memory as does Lori. That in and of itself is incredible. And then you add her mastery of organ technique and style along with the mastery of the Lowrey features. WHOA. When I grow up I want to be just like Lori!!!
Thank you Michael. One of the best compliments I've heard! I always picture the cantina band scene when I play it and have some fun with it. Always been a big star wars fan. Checkout my Pirates of the Caribbean youtube for more little Easter eggs in the music.
I have been looking to own a Lowrey Organ for years after playing Hammonds, Yamaha's and Wersi's. This young lady has convinced me that all the Lowery's do not sound like cheap synthesizers and you can play more than Polkas on them. I want one now and great playing young lady!!
You can buy a really REALLY nice used lowrey that sold new for ..ohh... 20-30K a few years ago for 2K now.. thats how bad its gotten... grrreat fer you and me, terrible for the company and resale or trade in value.
This is inspiring. You do a good job of capturing the themes and bringing back images from the movies. Also, the inspiration is to be able to control the complex settings so quickly, live. You're also clearly an awesome musician!
Good to hear from you and thank you for the kind words. . I'm glad that I had a chance to show you some of the Lowrey products. Hope you had a fantastic time at NAMM.
I'm certainly favorably impressed by her playing, and I didn't notice any wrong notes! This also seems to be the first time anyone has done this on anything that isn't an Electone Stagea.
For the Haters ... Please post your Fantastic skills so you can show how it's to be done properly and if its not asking too much do it on the Same model Lowery .
The organ was the original synthesizer. It was built to duplicate other instruments or voices. Vox - human voice. Over the past couple of hundred of years manufacturers have improved the voicing of these instruments. They will always be the "King of Instruments" whether they have lights or not.
What a great talent. Hopefully people this will inspire people to take up organ playing in their homes. It just seems that no one plays piano or organ anymore. Nice organs are being given away in craigslist ads. It's a thing of the past I'd like to see come back. Ms Graves has inspired me.
Kem Hayes I agree with you. I have had 4 different organs and my deceased Uncle had a Wurlitzer on my 5 one a Carnival organ. Thank you for your comment Kathy Gleeson Michigan
Lori, besides being attractive and very sexy; you have an ex Royal Marine Musician saying that your rendition of this Star Wars was VERY enjoyable. You organised the organ sounds beautifully. Thankyou ~Smuchly.
HI LORI-- I LOVE HEARING YOU PLAY - I ALSO LEARNED A LOT FROM YOU AND ANDY AT THE WORK SHOP AT ROYAL MUSIC-- HAVE'NT BEEN TO TO ROYAL MUSIC IN QUITE SOME TIME BECAUSE OF WALKING WITH A WALKER- HOPE I WILL BE ABLE SEE YOU AND ANDY AGAIN- FRANK RUGGIERO-
I wish everyone could play my Wurlitzer 625t ( or other Wurlitzer's with MONOphonic synthesizers...although my favorite organ is a non-synthesizer 64' Wurlitzer 4500). To listen to an organ as an ORGAN, but with the elements of synthesizer can be powerful, once you put a POLYphonic synthesizer on an organ it loses the character of the organ voices- these being Diapason, Tibia ( or Flute),Reed,Horn, and String. The invention of the Leslie in 1940 brought the tibia's up front, but it was ORGAN.
I have that very same Lowrey Imperial Organ that she is playing, but have yet to learn how to make all of those preset changes on the fly..I sound good , she sounds fantastic..
+Dennis Eiland -No the Lowrey Imperial does not have those foot stops like some of the Wersi's do...I would really like to have a Wersi cause I would love to have 3 keyboards...the Lowrey does have foot switches on the swell/volume pedal one on the right and one on the left so you can assign different things you want them to do such as next preset, glide, sustain, etc...
i met lori@namm she was the most pleasant&nicest person@the show&a true talent she most kindly was more then happy to demonsrate this fine instrument & play the above tune and play whiter shade of pale with me amongst all the craziness all u negative morons please go away/I would like to see somebody play this by memory like her&this lowery organ is fantastic thank u so much lori for the private concert&all your help
There is just nothing like the sound of a Lowrey Organ, that is why I have one of my own, the Lowrey Conductor Organ, visit me on djruff39 here on youtube, only old gospel
Lori, I find your playing most enjoyable watching and listening. A personal opinion, I felt your tribute to the Pirates movies more true to the sounds of the actual movies and music. I believe it may be the organ itself and not your playing. The sounds just were not right on like they were in the other video.
Still the same fake cheesy Lowery sound as always. Look up the same thing being played on the new Yamaha! Dealership I worked at finally ditched Lowery. They were barely good doorstops.
+Dennis Eiland Are your referring to the part of the cantina where Lori played back what she had just recorded and then played her backing track while the melody played? I think that's her interpretation of the rumble and conversation that was happening in the actual movie. The next time I talk to Lori I will ask her, but I am pretty sure that she doesn't care and takes all negative criticism in stride. The real tell-tale is for you to perform this and post it on You Tube and let the audience be your critics.
Dennis Eiland Wut? Her interpretation of the rumble & conversation? I'm talking about the melody she played. To be honest in just about every part of the video, her phrasing is terrible. Lots of notes held for too long across the whole video, but the Cantina section is the worst. Also, she's not playing to a backing track - it's the auto accompaniment played by the keyboard that comes when she holds chords with her left hand in those parts. If you're going to defend someone playing a lowry, at least have a basic understanding of how it works. As for let the audiecce be my critics - by your very own logic, unless someone can play a piece than have no business criticizing, so what would be the point if nobody could criticise it? By the same token, if YOU can't play it, then you have no business defending it. My initial comment was just a comment on the timing/phrasing and the more than a few bum notes - she has a tendancy to 'drag' the melody, - YOU decided to reply with cursing and insults.
+impablomations OK so I acquiesce and apologize for being so rude and vulgar. I was just in a shitty mood last night! I did listen again and the cantina portion is weird and her phrasing is questionable. I am classically trained on both piano and organ from the late 60's. I love the spectacle however! Simplistically as I say, the piano has one voice and it is up to the artist to create the passion and nuance of the music. No I do not understand the Lowery so the electronic portion of memory play back makes more sense; a gimmick of the instrument for multi voice performances.. I play a Wersi which is basically the same as all keyboard instruments today that created by a google of digital samples of what we hear. I was a dyed-in-the-wool Hammond B3 and Thomas 821-C guy, both still sitting untouched in years. The style and case on the Wersi brings my old B3 to mind! I also play both Yamaha Tyros 4 and Tyros 5. Sometimes I just like to let the instrument do the "leg work and the left hand work" as well. However, Yamaha does offer a spinet type pedal board for both instruments. In my earlier days an organ sounded like a organ be it, pipe, theater or electrically generated sound and a lot of untrained musicians didn't really know the difference. The piano was the same piano today as it was back then, even the Bosendorfer.. Again, I apologize for being so rude and out of line. Lori Graves does have talent, and her burn notes need to improve and no I do not know her. The untrained audience misses her burn notes and phrasing errors and are entertained by the spectacle. I do however enjoy watching these folks perform. One artist I will never criticize is Claudia Herschfeld. She is one of the most talented keyboard artists I have ever met, and for me watching her perform makes her music complete. I hear a burn note infrequently, but her manual dexterity is beyond questioning! Claudia turned me on to the Wersi, and prior to meeting her and hearing her perform in Germany, I had never heard of a Wersi! I have only begun to discover it's myriad of :gimmickry.
not hating, she does have skills but there are better videos out there, maybe it's just but I heard some accidental keys hit, and there were some parts where she didn't keep the tempo, but none the less she was great
She plays well enough (and being attractive doesn't hurt either). I'm just scratching my head wondering why in the world would anyone bother either giving or going to a "concert" on a Lowrey organ? It's living room furniture! There are plenty of multimillion dollar REAL organs out there built just for concerts! Lowrey organ "concert"...ha-ha, that's akin to an animated porn video, lolol!!
Shame the strings still sound too 'midi' oriented - fakey. If Lowrey can produce an instrument with all this technology, surely they can get their strings to sound more realistic?
5:25, uh... Yeah... I take it that she's never heard the Star Wars theme before? Cool thought to arrange this for organ, but that organ looks and sounds like shit.
Unbelievable how you can butcher a great OST, how many times did you listen to the org. track? i guess only twice... unbelievable! you know how to play the organ no doubt about that but you also know to rape a world-track!
That has to be one of the most overpriced and overrated organ even, its just all lights, and for the amount you pay, it doesn't sound as good as it should.
Quite a lot of work went into this performance. Not only did she need to learn the music she had to program the organ to match the soundtrack of the movie. Quite an accomplishment...I tip my hat to you Lori ! Keep playing and performing. You're one hell of an organist !!
Thank you so very much for the compliment. It is nice to know that someone appreciates the craft of the artist.
Never seen this before... and I HATE people who put someones playing ability down... shes got it!!!! How many of you have ever played one of these things in front of a crowd?? Shes awsum... Im an old MX1 guy, and while that machine was the best.. it was tough to get it to do its maximum.. I give her so much credit... gosh,.. This is the best star wars music I've ever heard and lori is great at playing the organ
Thank you very much Scottie! I had a blast playing that song.
I agree, and it does appear that Lori was both skilled and having a good time, which, to me, is a winning combination.
Thanks Lori..it really inspires me. You are a gifted world wide performer. You've won many awards. I love this arrangement. You're the best. Not only that your a wonderful lady.
Lori really shows how she is so professional! This proves that Lowrey is not just for beginners, but also for beginners too!
I still come back to view and enjoy your performance Lori.
I’m an organ snob and I think this is damned awesome
Lori; that was fabulistico. You handled the Lowrey wonderfully.
I spent 15years with the Royal Marine School of Music as concert pianist and church organist.
Unfortunately, apart from the amazing sound of the Hammond organs, there were nothing to compete with these modern Lowreys.

Big thankyou again.
Robert.
This organ is amazing. She is the new generation of organist. These organs are loaded and oh so entertaining...Arranging songs is the greatest task...how simple or complex you want it to be. When I watch this I get so excited...love it..
Brilliant, she's got the feel an tempo to the tune!
Oh my ! oh my ! this was the most! exiting and beautiful i ever heard, such an organ-player, and such a awesome! organ....
Splendid !
This is freaking awesome. LOVE THE LOWERY ORGAN and you are an AMAZING organist
Yep, People are gonna hate, particularly out of jealousy. Lori, This was so enjoyable to listen to! I loved it!!!
Oh how I wish I could commit scores of music to memory as does Lori. That in and of itself is incredible. And then you add her mastery of organ technique and style along with the mastery of the Lowrey features. WHOA. When I grow up I want to be just like Lori!!!
The force is strong with this one.
This is just beautiful, this medley is from John Williams,a great composer.and on the organ is beautiful, too. What a gift.Amen.
When the 'Blaster" sound jumped right into the bar music i sprayed soda out my nose i laughed so hard! That was fan fricken tastic!
Thank you Michael. One of the best compliments I've heard! I always picture the cantina band scene when I play it and have some fun with it. Always been a big star wars fan. Checkout my Pirates of the Caribbean youtube for more little Easter eggs in the music.

That's a very timely compliment 😎
Wow! That was awesome!!
bought a tear to my eye..that was great
Wish I could play like that!
She's great, and nice too!
AMAZING !
Meravigliosa!! Non mi stanco mai di vederti suonare!!

so beautiful to watch and how fun is that?! good job!
Have been a lifelong Star Wars fan and couldn't wait to work on this piece.
One word sums it up per how I feel: Mesmerized!
Same!
So great ! I wish I had a player like you to record with !!!
BEAUTIFUL! :)
Fantastic.
Good to hear from you and thank you for the kind words. . I'm glad that I had a chance to show you some of the Lowrey products. Hope you had a fantastic time at NAMM.
Epic performance

The Lowrey Imperial
This is just the coolest....
You are a fantastic organist Lori. I would love to get on that padded bench after you and play this great organ.
For the Haters ... Please post your Fantastic skills so you can show how it's to be done properly and if its not asking too much do it on the Same model Lowery .
Yes please if you can do better ...by all means do so...GREAT PERFORMANCE 👏👏👏
Awesome skills, and you look like you’re having fun too! Keep on trucking!
It's hard NOT to have fun when you're playing the organ. And, since I can't have a theater pipe organ I'll continue to play on my Lowrey!
The organ was the original synthesizer. It was built to duplicate other instruments or voices. Vox - human voice. Over the past couple of hundred of years manufacturers have improved the voicing of these instruments. They will always be the "King of Instruments" whether they have lights or not.
Thank you for that. Very much agree on the organ’s versatility.
I hope that in further videos we could have more and longer shots of her footwork on the pedals, they are beautiful and well worth it
What a great talent. Hopefully people this will inspire people to take up organ playing in their homes. It just seems that no one plays piano or organ anymore. Nice organs are being given away in craigslist ads. It's a thing of the past I'd like to see come back. Ms Graves has inspired me.

I am humbled and honored by your comments. Coming from a true Royal Marine Musician it is truly a compliment.
The best!!!!!
i want to watch the star wars series again :D
imponente genial
Great !
Where is the line drawn between an actual organ and a two-manual synthesizer covered with flashing lights?
HI LORI-- I LOVE HEARING YOU PLAY - I ALSO LEARNED A LOT FROM YOU AND ANDY AT THE WORK SHOP AT ROYAL MUSIC-- HAVE'NT BEEN TO TO ROYAL MUSIC IN QUITE SOME TIME BECAUSE OF WALKING WITH A WALKER- HOPE I WILL BE ABLE SEE YOU AND ANDY AGAIN-
FRANK RUGGIERO-
Grazie
Dayum great playing, screw the haters
I am glad you like it Rainbow.
Terrance, the song she began with is from the 20th Century Fox,fanfare, with the Cinemascope extention.
Rarity, that was a interesting video you sent me !!
OMG! She is too good/great to be on a Lowrey ( basically unchanged - except apearance - since 1980). Allen is nuts not to check her out.
Just got my Royale , wouldn't fit in this place , so had to have it put in a bigger family house :) Next Phantom of the Opera when i have it set :)
Wow..!! Aplausos Lori..!! =)
XOXOXO :) Amazing :)
Super track, well done!
Is there a title for the piece starting at 2" 23'?
+CliveevilCuk cantina band
+Adams Khalfi
Many thanks, now to tackle the sheet music!
What type of organ is this??
Wish we had the Technology back then in 80's , Besides MX -2 . But if you know a Organ :) You learn more ! :)
Thats very cool: Imperial March or Darth Vader's Theme from Star wars!
Ich mag weder Star wars noch E-Orgeln, aber das gefällt mir! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

like up !!!!!
I have that very same Lowrey Imperial Organ that she is playing, but have yet to learn how to make all of those preset changes on the fly..I sound good , she sounds fantastic..
+Lowrey Imperial Organ Music Does the Lowery have foot stops? My Wersi does and makes preset changes a breeze, providing you tap the correct stop!!!!
+Lowrey Imperial Organ Music The Wersi also has thumb pistons for on-the-fly changes......
An organ with an LCD? What instrument is that?
Lowrey Imperial
the king of this track as got to be max takano japan NO 1 no one plays it as good as max
thou she plays it very well
Saya sangat suka..sungguh menakjubkan!
Looks like a control board from the Imperial death star :)
@marcin16041998 the cantina song i think
The Imperial March cool
Gee, I never seen anyone with that kind of facility on the organ before! I don't know how she was making all of the PRESET CHANGES either?
Preset changes were done with a kick switch inside of the volume pedal.
@LariatsofFire Yes she's not schooled I think but still, this is no easy feat. Respect to her nonetheless.
I'm pretty sure this is Luke Skywalker's sister. her talents are out of this world...

Nossa!!!
she started off with the 21st century fox music
Jealousy rears an ugly mind.
Very good but some tempo problems.
Really liked it but the backrest on the bench shouldn’t have been there. Sucks for the live audience

It is absolutely excellent organ playing, obviously 100 times better than you could ever manage plus your language is disgaceful.
Shame the strings still sound too 'midi' oriented - fakey. If Lowrey can produce an instrument with all this technology, surely they can get their strings to sound more realistic?
This machine was designed in 2006 and released in 2008. Compare it to others of the same vintage and you can see what this is capable of.
