Mr. Wright has been a favorite of mine ever since I discovered his recordings.... The Allen 'George Wright' instruments are great, but nothing is like the sound and feel of live pipes... Thank you, Lori for sharing your time and talent in the production of all your fine videos!!!
I play the Theater Organ for fun and occasionally for requested concerts. I am currently a concert artist and product specialist for the Lowrey organ company. Thanks for the compliment, I too enjoy the mighty Wurlitzer!
How fun! There is always room for more contemporary music on the instrument. Pipe organs are nicer because they do not need multiple channels for speakers, but you do what you can and learn and practice and occasionally you get to play the real thing. Well done, I enjoyed your playing! Keep it up!
Wonderful playing and great talent as well! I do wonder if you could post videos where we could also see some close ups of your footwork/ pedalwork on the Lowrey organ
I caught the video of your playing the Star Wars theme in concert on the Lowrey and I've finally concluded what I think I don't like about it and the Hammond; when recording electric and electronic organs it's always done off of a line output while a real pipe organ obviously has to be recorded in a "space;" big difference. Anyway, your playing is great; it's just so terrific and it's great to know that this kind of playing won't become a lost art anytime soon; thank you.
Very nice playing! I loved your take on the Hungarian Rhapsody No.2! I wish you would have played the whole thing. I was really getting into it! You sure can have fun playing a theatre organ! I used to have lots of fun playing one in a local theatre till we removed it due to vandalism. Took care of that organ for nearly 20 years. I miss the old girl. Hope to hear and see more of your playing soon! ;)
Impressive demonstration on the Allen GW-4 Renaissance Unit Orchestra here. The current STR-4 Walt Strony model Quantum Unit Orchestra has some differences in the stop and rank specification, plus "second-touch" piano pedals for roll cymbal/crash cymbal and snare roll/crash cymbal.
Hoping you'll medley again for us. The guitarist Chet Atkins would do medleys during some of his performances, tapping his vast memory. Sounds as if you do the same with the theater organ!
Wish I could play the organ like a virtuoso, green acres.tv series.i have a natural love for the organ. And I really feel the music, like most people who can sing, you have to feel the musical notes, inside you.Miss Graves, you are a virtuoso, like Diane Bish,George wright, and Virgil Fox.This is also a gift from God.You like me have to love the music placed inside you by the Holy Spirit.i have it my mother plays the piano, and my Aunt is an opera singer.Soprano, and her daughter,my cousin, also is a concert pianist. Thanks for the great music.God bless,.Amen.
Really like your playing. I would love to do some recording experiments with my tube reel to reel to reel and ribbon microphones. I am a theater organ fan.

Lori...you inspire me. I've watched your concerts for a few years. Every time I do I want to go home and be a better player.
Lori found the true spirit of the theater organ. BRAVOOO!

What's the song at 2:22? I recognise it, but I can't think of the name. I have an idea it's a TV Theme??
Great sound Lori, I hope that you post some more videos on either the Allen on pipes some day. All the best Keith.
' Green Acres ' theme on a beautiful organ like that? LOL! Great organ and great organist. ;-)

First song is from Van Halen's "Jump"
Great orchestral parts of songs we know and love classic rock thank you
"I'd always wanted to play one of these" -Who doesn't?
BRAVO! I'm a fan of Wurlitzer theatre and band organs. Are you a hockey and or baseball organist? Your a terrific orgainst!
You are one great virtuoso. Well done.
You know an instrument is made for improvising when the music rack is way up there!

Wonderful playing! I think she sounds much better on the big Allen compared to the smaller Lowreys!

No, I never play barefoot. I use silver OrganMaster Shows with a bit of bling added on them. The shoes are made specifically for organists.
The song is "Separate Ways" by Journey
Lots of fun. Thanks for sharing.

What is the song you play at 1:33, it reminds of the halloween theme but i'm sure it isn't.
