I love how off putting it is to use. which is why I got it. It's powerful enough and has all the features I need to communicate. Works great as a fidget, feels good in the hand.
While I don't have any of Unihertz's Jelly models, I do have a Light Phone. The texting experience is obviously different on push-to-type/talk-to-type only to accommodate the e-Ink display. That said, it is a phone recommended alongside Jelly models for a similar screen size. I have functionally no problems typing to text on my Light Phone. I imagine having the option of Gboard and swipe texting, it could be even easier to text on the Jelly Star.
I bought one after your review and so glad i did, it means i don't use it for scrolling endlessly and using my phone, unless its for a task. Good Digital Detox device
Have been looking for the best small phone to bring the tech back to utility and away from social media center. This looks like the perfect middleground between the expensive "dumb phones", the obviously feature lacking nature of "feature phones". Combine this with a minimal launcher like Niagra (been premium member since sept 2021, would pay again) and this looks like my dream ❤ Thanks for the review!
Great review! All reviews seem to be from 8months or a year ago. Nice to see a new review for the Jelly Star. I just ordered one of these and waiting for delivery. I'm so sick of my nearly 7" phone over the last year or two and I love the idea of this just being 3" in size, just like the old android phones back in the day. From your previous review on the Jelly 2, the screen is fine to read, the t9 can be used. I can never get into Swipe on keyboard, but I will give this a try when I get the Jelly Star. And it seems to have EVERYTHING that our big phones have so I see this working fine for everyday use. Is there a trend coming for smaller phones again? People fell out of love with small iPhones and Android phones years ago, and now it seems people want the 'less distractions' phones again, but with all the apps we use each day. I think Phone companies should jump on the trend now, easy money for them.
Thanks so much for this review good sir…I’m interested in the 3” screen and wondering if it could hold up pretty well with rugged use…I w old go for a Atom…but I like the 3” screen. Thanks!
Major annoyance with the Atom was the keyboard in portrait view is almost impossible to use. Why they can't make it swing sideways to use the extra width of the screen FFS?
The graphics update for pokemon go launched a few hours go, I wonder how that runs. I'm not looking for a new phone to daily drive anytime soon but this might be a good travel phone
Think i might just use this for music/Ipod since it has SD card slot....size will be perfect for pockets...add 1TB sd card full of music and podcast would be great
hmm that's a pretty cool device ... its like today little pager this is very neat... not sure why i like this so much but i'm very much digging it .. maybe cause im 42 and used a lot of these devices or similar to it back in the day, but man i like this... i like a compact device like this ... im alll about it being small these big phones we have i avoid them that is why im not getting a samsung galaxy a55 cause its too big man...... i like my 6.1" iphone 14 cause its compact!
I really love the Unihertz Jelly series!

Well it's very tempting to get as a second phone thanks for doing the video

Love my tank and had a jelly 2. Pls unihertz at least give few years of security if no os upgrades
Yeah, if they could commit to at least some schedule, it would be nice.

Imagine if they made a flagship jelly series with a fast processor and no bezels with a nice camera.
I've just bought a Nokia 100 as a dettox phone to use one day a week. It'll be difficult.😂
Lol, but worth it!

Thanks for the review!
It kills me to know a tiny phone like this is almost twice as powerful as my phone
Squash it down to normal thickness and it would be the same height/width as a "normal" phone, but just sluggish as sh!t and no NFC you clown. LOL 😅
might get one as a back up phone/ipod mp3 player for spotify

Wow. Interesting device. Does something like this get security and/or android updates?
Ehhhhhhh don’t count on it. Once a quarter, twice a year type deal.
Still though, that's not bad at all for something like this.
Major annoyance with the Atom was the keyboard in portrait view
is almost impossible to use.

Excellent travel phone!
I just realized this was flimed as the graphical update dropped haha@@StevealiciousTech
Yeah, it did look different, right? I was wondering about that. Was that the update?

Getting this on Tuesday :)
I've had it for 5 months, great phone but battery life sucks. I wan to get rid of it and get a Tank Mini instead.
Does it work with Consumer Cellular???
What phone networks take the jelly star??
T-mobile is your best bet.
I want one but what people are saying about the screen is deterring
Can't beat a distraction lowering powerful phone though
It looks like a Palm Pre that doesn't open.
If it was 100$ I'm in. At 200$ I'll buy an a25 open box. A15 5g is literally 140$ open box at Best buy. That's too good

They are cool! And definitely bring back some old feelings.
Omg it's soon cute 😊
Is it compatible with Att
Unfortunately not.
I like the size but it still has too much tech.
Does it work with T-MOBILE?
It does!
Do you know if I could access RING? thank you so much for answering
@@Loriloraine ring app shouldn’t be an issue at all.
Wow that’s amazing. Thanks!!!
