Going against the grain here but I think designer brand suits deserve a chance. Sure, paying US$2000+ for a traditionally-ill-fitting suit with 4 stripes on the arm is probably bonkers, but if you acknowledge Thom Browne's influence on today's menswear, it might not be that crazy at all (whether that influence is a blessing or a curse is another story). Armani, Tom Ford, etc. I think all their suits have a place in menswear even if they're not the enthusiasts' most favourite silhouettes. With that said, I would give similar recommendations that you gave out here for people buying their first proper suit. 😁
1:03 In the more rural southeastern US, not all the time. It is expected you dress well. Be it a polo and khakis, or what you'd wear to Church on Sundays. This is from my experience though.
It wasn't custom, so I didn't have a choice. Maybe they changed it since then because it's been a few years. It's the Washington cut. My guess is that it'd be either regular or wide...if I had the choice I'd go wider haha!

the blazer with the white stripes is from thom browne. all thom browne jackets are full canvas and made with tremendous attention to details.
I have been looking for something in linen, as I just want something light and interesting. Keep up the great work.
